We really loved visiting the Featherdale park, we had an extraordinary experience getting so close with the animals. It defenitively worth the visit!
The zoo is quite small, indeed, but we spent almost 3 hours total since we kept most of the time enjoying feeding the kangoroos. Don’t forget to buy the kangoroo food at the entrance, it costs AUD$ 5 and worth it.
Sometimes you must have some patience to wait until a kangoroo gets closer, looking for food. The animals must get closer to be fed, once there are reserved areas for them, where most of the kangoroos stay.
Don’t spend all the food in the first encounter, as soon as you enter the zoo, because there are more opportunities to feed the animals inside the park.
By the way, the zoo has a beautiful albine kangoroo!
It is a unique opportunity to get so close to Australian animals, to see them so close to you. It is a unique experience!
