Feldmann Hotel & Restaurant

A very cosy hotel in the heart of Münster, but far from noisy and unpleasant corners. This makes it a very convenient place to stay, because one can walk anywhere in a very few minutes, the railway station is 5 minutes away from the hotel, and yet at night it is easy to sleep without confusion around. The breakfast was very rich and the personnel was always welcoming and helpful. Although the rooms lack specific facilities such as air conditioning, because this is an old building, they are provided with convenient fans and the area is so quiet that there is no issue whatsoever in sleeping with the windows open.

Terrible service!!! Terrible!||We wanted to have some drink outside and were waiting for the waiter for 10 minutes to come to our table. We ordered 2 small beer (we’ve shown in the menu the beer and price). |Then we were waiting another 10 minutes. When we went to ask what was the reason we still didn’t have our order, they told us that they poured beer into glasses and if we want we can take it ourselves. |After that the manager came to our table to say that if we have problems we just could stand up and go away. We were shocked from that disrespectful behavior. |That was definitely not 5 star hotel/restaurant response to guests. Even ti those who just wanted to have quick drinks and leave. |After that the waiter took us two big beers instead of 2 small. |Never come here if you don’t want to be disrespected. Even if it seems to you a nice place.

we stayed two nights in this hotel and had the most expensive room (nr 30) which was a delight: excellent bed, comfortable sitting area, and a spacious bathroom, all very very clean. The staff was wonderful and lend us two bicycles free of charge for a ride in and around the town (highly recommended). ||Breakfast was super, one could order warm dishes to one's liking, there was a variety of bread and in addition, a buffet with a wide choice. Good coffee. And again, most friendly and helpful staff.||The breakfast as well as other meals are served in a cosy, spacious setting. We had a 'pauschale dinner' in great style, and were surprised by the full body and impressive bouquet of a red wine from the Palz area, made of some 6 different grape varieties (sorry, forgot the name). And all that at a very very reasonable price.||The only reason not to give five stars is that the hotel tends to be less than ideally sound-proof. The doors of the rooms do not isolate well from voices and other noice on the corridor or in adjacent rooms. One can live with it and all the other conditions of the hotel and restaurant more than compensate for this little inconvenience.

Beautiful old school, classic hotel. Nice rooms, great staff, excellent breakfast. Enjoyed our stay so much, we're lookingfor an excuse to go back, as we were just passing through. I'd booked us in one of the days the restaurant is closed, but they suggested one a few hundred meters away that was very good.

This is a hotel situated in the Alt Stadt - difficult to find but the hotel will give you good directions on their site - so close to everything. It has a good reputation locally and with Germans in general, we were the only other nationality, and a very good restaurant, laid out in typical German style. Unfortunately, the smell of the restaurant permeates into some of the corridors which is not very pleasant. Perhaps the extraction systems need to be looked at. The breakfast was also good. Although we enjoyed our stay here very much we were disappointed with our room that was a mishmash of modern, old and pretending to be old style. One of the sheets had a hole in it which I had to ask to be replaced which they did immediately. The room bore no resemblance to any room shown on the website however other rooms did appear to be furnished better. I think ours must have been a standard room so well worth paying the extra for a better room. Our shower and bathroom were fine. Some people may find the decoration/dressing of the hotel, especially in the public passage areas, a little overpowering but I have seen similar in other German hotels. The night porter is very good with restaurant recommendations. To sum up, good hotel, good restaurant, room could have been better

I really enjoyed my stay at this small hotel. My single room was simple and just big enough. (I never did figure out where the power outlet was in the bathroom, but think I might know...) Breakfast was just right. Wifi was excellent. I ate at the restaurant one night and liked it a lot. They had bikes available for guests to use, which was really appreciated and needed to cover the city. Staff was helpful in various situations. My German is pretty rusty, so I was glad there was always someone I could talk to at the desk, although not all spoke fluent English. The hotel is centrally located, although I still got lost in the Medieval city plan. It's next to a church though, which always helps when you get close to home base.

Very nice and well maintained hotel. The room was cozy and lovely, and the service was friendly and prompt.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Feldmann. Yes, it is tricky to find but well worth it when you do. Yes, the small private parking area is tricky to negotiate into and out of (and you MUST book), but there's underground parking a minute away. The aspects aside, this is a very good place to eat and to stay, right in the pedestrian heart of the city.
