Great winery that offers a comfortable atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Fenn Valley offers many great events like music outside Thursdays and weekends, tours through the vineyard, 5k run, wine festival, special dinners and cookouts, and wine club with great benefits.

We loved the atmosphere and service at Fenn Valley Winery! Wendy was attentive and knowledge on all the wines! My favorite was the Red Currant Wine and my husband's was Late Harvest Resling. We definitely will be making this a regular stop on our way to Central Michigan University to visit our son! Thank you Wendy for the amazing experience!

Staff was super courteous and knowledgeable about the wines. Great place to spend the afternoon. We overnighted via Harvest Hosts in 40' class A towing our grand cherokee, plenty of space to maneuver! Even picked some fresh chestnuts

My mom and I loved the wine here! We ended up taking home several bottles. A gentlemen named Kim helped us the whole time, and was very knowledgeable! He went out of his way to find the sugar contents of different wines for us. He made the experience even better!

We came here for my sister’s bachelorette trip this weekend. We had the most amazing time. The private tasting room was decorated beautifully for the bride-to-be and wedding party. The attention to detail was well-appreciated. The charcuterie was delicious. We had the pleasure of having Deb as our party server. She was very friendly and made our experience even better. After our tasting, we bought a couple bottles to enjoy outside with live music and to take pictures. This was the highlight of our weekend. We would definitely come back!

Fenn Valley has some really good wines. Great venue. Delicious charcuterie. We took the vinyard tour and enjoyed tasting the grapes along with the wine from that grape. Aaron was a lot of fun and taught us so much during our tour. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place for wine tasting at a great price. They have a good selection of wines and hard ciders and they charcuterie...very tasty. The grounds are inviting so you can sit outside( in the shade or in the sun) and sip your wino.

Caryl was so kind and helpful. Such a beautiful day and she suggested sitting outside. She even had me try some new wine that I absolutely loved. Got a charcuterie board and it was so wonderful. Highly recommend coming to this place.

Fenn Valley was a miss for my group. We visited a handful of wineries in the area and this was unanimously the least favorite, for a few reasons. For one, it felt extremely outdated as far as ambiance and decor, and very chaotic even on a cooler Fall day. The staff we encountered seemed rushed and some could not pronounce or describe the wines we selected. Another reason for the low score is the reservation and card system. This was the only venue in the area that required prepayment when booking the reservation online. It was also the only venue where were simply handed a card to check off which wines we wanted to try, without any dedicated help. Other venues had more help on staff, and felt like they were there to provide an experience, whereas this was kind of a "fend for yourself" vibe. Lastly, the wines were just ok in comparison to other wineries in the immediate area.

Accommodates large parties, adorable outdoor area with a lot of shade. Able to taste any wine, flights were not preselected.

We had a great time! The property is very beautiful. They have inside and outside seating. You can do a flight at the bar and hear about the wines from a server or take a flight to your table. We opted for the bar. We had Kim and he was great!!! He gave us tons of info and answered all of our questions. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the wine tasted. We bought 3 bottles! They have live music on Thursday nights and I bet that is fun. We were just in town for a few days so we didn't get to experience it.

The Fennvalley Winery is the bee's knees. We've been to the Music nights, for the Wine Cellar Tour & the Vineyard tour. All were worth the drive & the staff were great. This can be a very busy winery & the staff works very hard, please be patient with them. The food here is fantastic, my favorite are the Mexican taco's.

Beautiful Michigan Vineyard, the charcuterie board could do some upgrading, the meats were not amazing but it was nice to have an option to buy. The wines were decent but not my favorite, the frozen drinks were good for a nice summer day

Fenn Valley will always hold a special Place in my heart. My Husband and I came To Fenn Valley over 15 years ago for the first time and I have been back countless times since. I love this place and come back on a yearly basis minimum. Their extensive wine tour is amazing and worth it... and you get plenty of wine! Their table side wine tasting is great too if you just want to sample some wines. They offer a great deal on wine if you do the tour!! The staff is wonderful and the wine is great and affordable. We have brought our daughter there as well!!! You don't want to miss out on this gem!

It's been a while since we have visited Fenn Valley. The facility is a little dated but larger and welcoming. Fenn has really developed a lot more outdoor spaces to enjoy the wines. We found all the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The host was good about getting us going. The server was very knowledgeable about her wines. She was very informative. The check out person was also very friendly. Fenn has a lot of different products to offer. They had some products that fit the drier tastes for us. Unfortunately none really struck us as favorites. While there...try a variety of wines. They have a broad selection that should meet your tastes at some level.

I was so looking forward to having a fun time at the Vineyard, visiting with my husband and son (his first time). We walked in and immediately were approached by D who asked us if we wanted to stand and do a tasting or sit. We had just walked in and really had no idea, just wanting to take it all in and see what was what first. She stood there making us feel extremely uncomfortable so we agreed to do a standing taste. We were charged $10 per person and told we could pick 7 wines. Because she made us feel so uncomfortable we left without purchasing our favorites. I decided to hit the store in Saugatuck for our purchases and was shocked to see that their charges for a tasting was $5 for 5 wine tastings. So at the actual vineyard it's $10 for 7 tastings??? This is very off putting. You don't get anything different, just get charged more?

Nice vineyard & winery. The staff are so friendly and helpful. You can pick a guided tasting with a staff person or a non-guided tasting. Flight tasting includes 8 wines of your choice. You receive a coupon for $5 off a purchase of 4 bottles. Wine pricing is pretty reasonable. Have the option of sitting indoors or outdoors. I would recommend this winery if you're in the area or passing through.

During girl's weekend, my friend and I visited Fenn Valley with a coupon from our bed and breakfast - Hop & Vine Inn (highly recommended). Our coupon gave us 7 free wine tastings each. My preference is sweet wines so I picked 7 of the sweetest. As we stood at the bar to try our sample, our server was quite busy with us and a few others. My friend and I were alright with that as we were chatting. If someone was in a hurry, that could be an issue though. As a result of the testing, I walked away with two bottles of wine at just $9 each. I thought this was a great price, of course there were more expensive ones. The peach and honey was my favorite with second place going to the cranberry. If you are looking for a place to try a wide variety of wines, I recommend Fenn Valley

Went here with 3 other friends for a weekend where we toured the wineries and cideries in the area. Each of us got a flight which was reasonably priced for 7, yes 7, choices of wine/cider. The wines were ok. Nothing much stood out to many of us here. The mulled wine was warm and a nice surprise, probably the best one we tried. However, I do have to give pros to the $15 charcuterie board. It was a decent size and had lots of variety. The decor is a bit banquet hall style and needs an update but overall this is a nice afternoon activity. If I could have given 3.5 stars I think that would have been a better rating but I don't think it is worthy of a round up to a 4.

This is a great place to go. Their wines are excellent and reasonably priced. It is a great deal to become a member. We always get a charcuterie board. It is a good deal and pair well with the wine of your choice. If you can go on a day when they have music it is a great way to spend the afternoon. Bring a designated driver and be safe.

We had a wonderful time here! We had a guided tasting with Wendy and she definitely MADE our experience. We highly recommend the Sauvignon Blanc, the cherry and blueberry wines, the peach spritzer, and the port! We came on a day in which they had a live band playing, the scenery is gorgeous! We saw their brochure in Holland and decided to stop by on our way south. We are so glad we did! This winery changed both our minds about Midwest wineries (this was our fourth!). There was so much variety, and the $10 tasting included 7 wines! Between us, we tasted 14. We ended up coming home with 6 bottles of wine. There must be something about this part of Michigan, because all of the produce to come out of it is sensational. Besides how good the wines were, the patio and lawn areas were just the right mood for a winery. This place is exactly what one would want in a trip to a winery.

Came here because my partner saw it was recommended in a west Michigan wine magazine! The value is incredible for the tastings (7 samples!) and $5 a glass after that and also the largest charcuterie board ever for $15. This and the really nice outdoor space with many tables with umbrellas and planted flowers around the stage and freedom to walk the vineyards are what makes it worth a visit. To be honest, wasn't a fan of many of the wines. The Brut brut and gewurztraminer were the only ones I liked. And - and I NEVER thought I would say this - the fruit wine was actually good. However the "off dry" Riesling felt more like super sweet ... I was like wow this is just plain wet. If you come here and find a wine you love I think it would be amazing for you, but that's not the experience I had. However, for a lovely cheap afternoon can't complain.

My friends and I found the winery months in advanced of attending our trip. It was a phenomenal deal so we decided to make a stop here! We were most excited for this place on our trip but very severely disappointed... Our reservation was at 4:30 and granted we did arrive a little late due to no ubers being around to get us there so we were waiting for a cab. As we arrived the women in front was very snarky which yes we take full blame for late arrival BUT the worst part was she told us there was an event at 5 that we had to be out of the winery for. She said we can sit if we'd hurry and since we all paid in advanced for this experience we wanted to! She rushed us to pick wines to try so we all ended up letting her choose the 8 and got the same thing. Overall, yes we feel bad for a slightly late arrival but it would've been nice to have known in advance that our time there would be cut short due to an event. They should have called day of or when they had found out about the event so that we could've adjusted our time there. I'm very disappointed in this experience here.

We were staying in south haven for the weekend and stopped here to do a wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful and they had a seat for us outside right away. Our server was awesome! It only costs $10 for 7 tastings. My favorite was the Briarwood Red. Not too sweet, not too dry. You can also go inside the barn and order a glass or wine or a wine slushy. I got the Frose slushy and it was amazing!!!!

An Absolutely wonderful winery! Great selections all across the board. Wonderful friendly & helpful staff. A must stop and visit kinda place. Chili cookoff was excellent in January 2016! You really need to add this wonderful winery to your tour, stop, cruise, tasting stop. You owe it to yourself to find out why this is a "Lake Effect" winery. All pf the employees are awesome! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and the best. 6/23/18 wine Fest! Live music, food trucks! Snacks, wine, tasting. Tours of the vineyard. Look, this is a small 1st class operation! Family ran business that excels at wine, fun and a great attitude!

4 stars only bc wine tours were unavailable during weekdays. Disappointed as this is a peak summer vacation season, but enjoyed the winery otherwise.

The first winery my husband and I ever went to, over 20 years ago! We have been members for about 10 years now. We absolutely LOVE the wine pickup parties and the pairings/dinners. The staff is always super friendly. The wines are plentiful, and they serve cider, as well. Lots of seating, prices very reasonable. The grounds and winery building itself are stunning. Definitely recommend a visit, and joining the wine club!!

They had this wine tasting paired with some delicious food. This whole thing was only $10.00 Amazing value and delicious food and wine. We are looking forward to the dinners and live music.

This experience reinforces popular conceptions about Michigan wines. The wines were ok at best. A few of the whites were good, but my wife only liked two of seven. The sparkling Riesling was good. Wines were poured in plastic shot glasses and served on cheap cafeteria style tables. No thanks.

I had been to Fenn Valley's Saugatuck tasting room before but never its main Fennville location. The B&B we stayed at this weekend, Hop & Vine, gave us a voucher for two free wine tastings (normally $5 each), so we headed over to try it out. Their wine festival is going on this weekend so it was a little busy, but parking was free which was nice. $5 gets you 7 samples of wine (great deal, IMO) and I mostly tried some of the sweeter wines, while my boyfriend mostly tried the drier wines. My favorite was the Peach & Honey, and while I didn't buy a bottle, at $9 that's a great deal too. The vineyard has a nice rural location as well, in Fennville, and seemed to have many acres. I'd like to come back here another time when it's not as busy with the wine fest (which also looked good, though).

We made a reservation and called to confirm the morning of. The staff were aggressive at first and insisted we did not have a reservation. She (Missy) flipped a switch once we were set for tasting. It was awkward. I would recommend that staff asks patrons about their level of experience with wine instead of being condescending in their presentations. Also, saying that last years sauv blanc tasted like "urine and sweaty gym clothes" did not improve the experience of trying this years sauv blanc.

I'm really glad we stopped here on our vacation to have a tasting. You get two free samples and I tried the blueberry wine and another sweet wine. We ended up buying a few bottles. The cool thing about their blueberry and cherry wines is that they are made from all of those fruits (no grapes). The staff are all really friendly and the space is nice. They had live music outside and places for people to relax, play games, and enjoy.

Great place for wine tastings for couples, friends, and celebrations. A wide variety of choices to pick from from red to white and cider varieties also. If you are buying by the glass, plenty of tables to sit.

Lovely setting on live music nights, food cart was excellent, wine was great too. A blast for kids and adults alike.

Recently took an afternoon trip to this winery. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They are knowledgeable and helpful. The wines we tried were excellent. They have great outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy your cider or wine. Love this place.

Stopped by Fenn Valley Vineyard for Thursday night summer music. It was a wonderful evening activity! A delightful country duo was on the stage, and the music was perfect....relaxing, not too loud and great for background ambiance. The stage was set up next to the barn and tasting room. It was large, uncrowded, and lots of room for kids to safely run and play.

Fenn Valley was one of the highlights on our trip to Michigan. We have done wine trails all over the Great Lakes region and Fenn Valley had the best tasting wines in opinion out of all of the wineries in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Why did they have the best wines? Well first - this region is known for sweet wines, and of course they have those here, but they also import Pinot, and other varietals from California, and other parts of the country to create some of their signature wines. So no, not all are local grapes, but in this region it's a nice surprise to see a local maker with some quality grapes ammi right?! Michigan is known for whites due to their short season, and cool climate. So we decided to get two tastings one with all whites and one with all reds and we each tried each others. I'm sure you guys are sick of me saying how great we are at sharing, but hey! You maximize the amount of stuff you get to try, it's the BEST! Anyway - I was SHOCKED to see they had a sparkling blanc de blanc made in the méthode traditionelle. It was hands down my favorite. I just love a good pinot grape! The hubs and I both also really like the Meritage: a cab franc with black cherry fruit flavor and a black pepper finish at $24 a bottle. The prices were a little higher than other regional wineries, but I think worth it because of the quality. Buy a bottle and sip in their gorgeous gardens. Take a tour of the vineyard, and pro-tip they are doing tastings in the bar now - there is something about the fresh air, you have to opt to the outdoor tasting. The indoor tasting room was kind of country and just meh. Lucky for us were were staying at a local B & B and so our tastings were FREE! But they will only run you about $6 bucks which is a STEAL. The hospitality was very nice, the wines were great, and you can't beat the outdoor atmosphere here.

I'm in Fennville every weekend during the summer, and I've made it a point to stop by here and stock up on wine... or to show off some of the local wine when I have people visiting. The winery has become very popular and it can be hard to find a place at the bar for tastings, especially if you have a larger group. If you're coming with 10 or more people, I recommend calling ahead and seeing if they can do a tasting for you away from the bar. I've been a part of one of those before and it goes much more efficiently. Tasting a couple of wines is complimentary, but the cost to sample several is minimal.. and if you buy enough wine, you get that money back. Lots to choose from, so the larger sampling is certainly recommended (and worth it)!

Fenn was interesting. The moment we saw the pictures we knew, but we didnt know. The wine is mostly fine--drinkable. Nothing stood out. Nothing was "great." But nothing was totally undrinkable either. It was such an odd location/experience. It looks like a repurposed church/retirement home/bingo hall. They have check out lanes and grocery carts--but who is buying that much wine there? As my wife says, "It's wine." Not really bad nor good. Drinkable. Fine to start a wine trail at but do not end your tour there. Perhaps Saugatuck's tasting room is a little better but we sure avoided it when in town.

Went with family and three small children to enjoy a winetasting some charcuterie and the lovely picnic area. The staff was very friendly and courteous thanking us for stopping bye. The wines that we tasted were varied and interesting from fruit flavors to fully developed varietals. All of the tests were very good and our variety of taste buds were pleased.

Came in on a busy Memorial Day weekend. Carol (with a y) was fabulous. She guided through the most wonderful tasting we could have asked for. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing experience! We were in town for vacation and made a tasting reservation. They were super accommodating when we got delayed and had to push back our time. Great indoor and outdoor areas and also kid friendly! They have an entire corner with toys and room for play so adults can enjoy a tasting. Only $5 for 7 tastings. Solid deal!

The ambiance felt like a multipurpose room and the wines were super sweet with no complexity. Closed early and just didn't impress us, staff was friendly but didn't give off welcoming vibes.

Great spot to visit, especially when the weather is nice. We came in September and really liked the Covid friendly setup. The charcuterie board was phenomenal and the wine was delicious! They also have a great self guided tour of the grounds, which both of us and our dogs loved!

Went in to ask about one of their wines we had enjoyed and ended up not only sampling the wine about which we asked, but were offered similar wines to taste. Then we had a regular wine tasting. Friendly, helpful and attractive tasting room.

This is such a beautiful place. We stayed at the Hop and Vine inn so got some complimentary tastings. They bring out all the wine in tiny cups outside to the picnic tables and answered our million questions. I don't know that I enjoyed their speciality fruity wines but the Rose and moscato 2018 were delicious! The bottles are not super expensive either. We also got two souvenir glasses which are so cute!

So much wine, I thought I was in Napa! Driving up to the winery on the back roads of Michigan through pastoral fields is my kind of fun, and pulling right up to the rows and rows of the very grapes you're about to taste was perfect. So much wine! I tried all the reds they offered. And I do mean all of them. Yum! The only thing missing is a few snacks or small things to chew on while you taste. While they do have cracker bites to clear the palate - I'm seeing a missed opportunity to partner with Salt of the Earth for bread! Cheers!

I recently visited the Fenn Vally Winery and Vineyard on a recommendation from a friend familiar with them. I suggested to my brother that we take my mom for her 58th birthday and he agreed. I bought tickets online for the vineyard tour and tasting ($8 per person) and it was the best money I've spent in quite a while. The tour itself was very informative and interesting (narrated by Brian) and we tasted 12 wines. After the tour, we tasted an additional 4 wines inside and walked out with about 1.5 cases of wine. The staff here is exceptional, the prices reasonable and Brian the tour guide and 3rd generation owner was fantastic. I look forward to going back, to buy more wine and enjoy the experience they have going on.

Stopped in for a wine tasting on our vacation. While the tasting itself is priced great (7 samples for $5.00), there was definitely something lacking with the service. The place was moderately busy but it seemed like the more people that came in, the less attention we were given. It seemed like the staff was more concerned with the older patrons and didn't really care about our experience (we are in our 30s, by the way). The couple next to us was also doing the same tasting however I noticed that the server providing them the wine was not only giving them more than 7 samples but was also taking the time to explain each wine, rinse out their glasses, etc. - when none of this was offered to us. When the couple was about to leave, the server asked them if they'd like to purchase any bottles and when they said yes, she offered to go get them. When we finished our tasting, nothing was said to us. No one asked us if we wanted a glass, to try something else, or if we were interested in purchasing any bottles (which we were). Not even a good bye or thank you for coming in. We were just completely ignored! So, we chose to not spend any additional money in this establishment and left.

I just found my favorite new wine thanks to wine tasting. Honey and Peach is fabulously sweet and perfect for those who love dessert wines. This place was busy but no worries they had plenty of staff to make sure you are well taken care of. Yay!!! I was shocked that the prices were so reasonable. I bought two bottles of wine for $18. What a great deal for great tasting wine!!!

Fenn Valley is one of our favorite wineries in the SW Michigan area. I understand that things have changed with COVID control measures, but the process now for wine tasting diminishes the experience to which we have become accustomed. We were the only ones in the entire facility, and rather than discussing the wine and wine making with us, the attendants had us choose 7 wines to taste, placed it on our table, and left. We hope they return to the old process of tasting and discussing wines with interaction with the employees. We want to retain this winery as one of our favorites.

The vineyard winery tour at Fenn Valley was a great time for my family, and hands-down the best tour I've been on. We tried about 12 wines during our ride through the vineyard, where the guide and head winemaker talked about grapes, fermentation and the art of making wines. It was a gorgeous day to be on a wagon ride, too. We liked the outdoor cafe tables but the decor inside was very old and outdated-looking. The wines themselves were the best I've tasted from the Great Lakes region, and we've tasted a lot of wines here. We especially liked the Meritage and Traminette wines.
