5 creative locally-owned places in Adelaide to visit - SilverKris

"A warehouse-turned collaborative cellar and bar that brings winemakers, brewers and distillers together for a communal drinking experience, reflecting a hybrid drinking movement made possible by changes in liquor licensing. Visitors can sample a rotating array of local brands such as BK Wines, Moorak Wines and Imperial Measures Distilling, then relax in the adjoining beer garden where wine barrels serve as décor and walls are draped in leaves." - Amanda Smith

Google
Fun place to go for some music and a bit to eat. My chicken sandwich came back half raw, but thebburger was good. Libations excellent. Music was also exceptional. Give them a try. Wait staff friendly and helpful.

Google
Exceeded my expectations! Awesome venue for entertainment. Food, live music great atmosphere. Adam the dishwasher was outstanding with his knowledge of the venue while Gabby is a rockstar serving drinks. Thanks Adam and Gabby for making our visit one we will remember. Hoping to be back soon for Great White!

Google
Yeah I was visiting my family down in Florida and my my middle brother suggested us go to furs and have a drink together along with our younger brother + the drinks was very good. I had some type of peppermint drink and hadn't had a hard liquor drinking over a year, but being that I was with my two brothers I decided to have a shot and although it was good, I only took a sip of and and my brothers finished it definitely definitely. If you're in the St. Petersburg Tampa area. I would definitely try ferg's. They're a good place and good people

Google
Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill is a local staple in downtown St Petersburg entertainment district. The wait staff was courteous, professional and attentive which added to the dining experience. The variety of food options is definitely worth working through the menu. I would recommend the 57 Chevy Burger for starters since it won't disappoint. There is ample parking in and around Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill so there shouldn't be any problems finding a spot and then taking a short walk. If you are anywhere in the region this is must visit due to its local history in the area. Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill is a great place for everyone whether you are dining alone or on a date or with a large group.

Google
Their bagel deluxe was absolutely delightful! My 3 kids and I met Ferg personally!!! I'm coming back here next summer to have dinner here again. Would definitely recommend.

Google
Atmosphere is superb, service was phenomenal and the food was actually pretty good for what it was too! The live entertainment were killing it too! We went early enough to get a good seat but it got busy really quick!

Google
What’s not to love about Ferg’s?! I came out to celebrate Ferg’s winning best sports bar in the country and hang with 102.5 The Bone listeners. I had the blackened beef tips, which were delicious. Thunder Bug showed up. I also won a pretty awesome cooler! Had a blast. Thank you guys!

David B.

Google
Such an awesome place with a great atmosphere. Dog Friendly! Good was good. Your order via a QR code at your seat with your phone and the service was quick. Nice to not wait for someone to ask what you want. Lots of outdoor seating. Looks like a place they just kept adding onto. It's a famous staple and recommend stopping in for a drink. Wings were good. Fries are awesome. Cold beer!

Yelp
As a local I just don't understand the hype around this place or why it would be named number 1 sports bar. It's is literally a bunch of ideas thrown together over the years. It's outdoors with no AC and walled off on multiple sides so there's not even a breeze. Every time I have been it has been difficult to get a drink, and the drinks are weak and sloppily made. The last drink I got was served in a dirty glass. The employees always seem to be having issues to operate the tvs and you have to sit strategically to get a decent view. The food is wildly overpriced Sysco food and if you know Fergs history, then you're likely aware of the many health code violations and even closures that they have had over the years. I dig the concept- sort of. I like the idea of it kind of being an event venue but there are a few problems with that- one being that 99% of the acts are not worth seeing and the other being that parking on this side of town sucks on busy nights, no garages. And lastly, as a young woman, I have experienced the worst type of crowd here. Very young college dude bro types. Last time I was there I actually ended up leaving because a group of drunk 20somethings would not leave our table of girls alone. Not the businesses fault, but just goes to show the type of crowd that hangs out here.

Yelp
Ferg's is a huge open air sports bar and a St Pete staple! They often have live music and plenty of TVs to catch your team. You can order food and drinks via a QR code on the table, which is great because you aren't waiting on service, but can prove challenging if you need something or have an issue with an order. However, everyone that delivered orders to our table was very friendly. Definitely a cool spot worth checking out!

Yelp
Super neat place and way more than a sports bar. A plethora of drink options and pretty good pub grub available. The service is great - they utilize a bar code scan menus and an app to place your order and pay. The concert space is definitely a plus. Not to mention ax throwing and a dog park.

Yelp
We have driven many times by Fergs. Recently we went in and were amazed at the size of the establishment. The outside bar and seating area was clean and extremely pleasant. We snacked on chicken fingers and French fries. The winner was the fries. The bartenders were all friendly and the food came out quickly. We attended the Brews, Bands and Buds 2025 event. It was well planned and lots of fun. The were many vendors there with array of things to look out and to buy. We walked into the huge first floor area which was sponsoring a chili cook-off. There were all ages of folks from little kids to great grandparents. Everyone was happy and having fun. There is room for over 2100 visitors. We definitely will be going again soon.

Yelp
My absolute favorite sports bar in Tampa Bay, noooo competition!!! They are constantly expanding this place and hosting different events, but the best part of Fergs is football season. If you're sitting by one of the tables and you scan the QR code to order, you'll have a drink in your hand within 3 minutes of hitting submit. There were times the drink showed up so fast, I was in awe, hah. The blackened wings are solid, and if the fries are crispy, they're fantastic. They came undercooked this weekend and their staff immediately replaced them for me. I truly would love to know how many people they have working on any given Sunday for operations to move so quick and smooth. They've also added extra bathrooms (with AC!) so it's overall a great experience. Love this place dowwnnn!!!

Yelp
We popped into Ferg's for a quick bite. It was 727 day and we were heading to the Pier for the drone show. Unfortunately, the rain came in big time and the drone show was cancelled. but we had a great meal instead. Staff were fun and we all enjoyed the rain and temp drop! We had the chick satay, the Cuban and grilled grouper sandwich. Live music was playing and enjoyed the evening. Ferg's is mixing it up since baseball stadium and our Ray's are playing in Tampa so follow their social media and support local.

Yelp
Ridiculous Football weekend. Crowds everywhere. So we opted to stray a few blocks from the downtown bustle to catch a guy's meal and some drinks. Ferg's was exactly what we needed. Cold and fairly priced drinks. gentle cool breeze wafting in at the open air bar where we sat. Sports TVs with plenty of viewing choices around. Even a surprisingly solid-rock band cranking out welcome tunes but not drowning out our chatter. But the big win was the wings, Our choices of Hot, and Mango Habanero gained us a dozen each large and flavor-drenched chicken wings (you can get breaded or naked) that were delivered right now and piping hot. (Boo Hiss that you have to pay extra for bleu cheese and celery). Very highly rate the wings and the bar service on what was a lively and crowded Sat. night. Seems as tho others have been less favored, but we found Ferg's to be perfect for our tastes! Has to have a dozen bars going when this place is busy, especially for a Bucs game. The place is cool as they can accommodate any sports team you root for and give you your own bar in the area. It's truly remarkable how they cater to everyone and strangely you don't really wait to order anything. Wish we had a setup like this in the north. Thanks

Yelp
I really really liked the fries here. Super crispy outside with good flavor even without sauce. I also tried a Malibu coke and that was very tasty. The ambiance of this place is super casual and it's got a lot of character and charm. I will definitely come back to spend some game watching or weekend nights here.

Yelp
I didn't have Peacock, so I was looking for a place that was hosting a watch party. I lucked out with Ferg's! Outside seating in the evening to watch the projector outside by the stage. My friend Leah and I were sipping a bucket of White Claws watching Taylor mess up the best thing he ever had.
google avatar

Robbin S.

Yelp
We stopped by here on a lazy Sunday afternoon and had the pleasure of meeting Olivia! She took excellent care of us and was full of knowledge about the area to answer our questions. We ended up spending the entire afternoon there. They have a large earring area and you can buy merchandise there. We cannot wait to come back!
google avatar

Ron C.

Yelp
It's hard to not like the vibe of Ferg's. I'm not a sports bar fan as I'm not a die hard sports fan and can't stand the generic sporto if you know what I mean. It seems like a cool place to meet people and the crowd is fairly mixed with young people and blue collared types. There are several bars here and the place gets packed on Sunday's. If you're looking to eat healthy, you can get boneless unbreaded wings here, which is great. Overall, the vibe is great even though the clientele isn't for me, not to sound snotty.
google avatar

Destiny T.

Yelp
I love Fergs! The bourbon wings are amazing! I get them every time. Best place in the city to go to for a game or any other sporting event for the ambiance. Fast and easy service with mobile ordering.

Yelp
Stopped in today for lunch. The food was good, but I was more impressed by our server, Tricia There were four in our group, we ordered libations, blackened mahi bites, a Spanish salad and half a Cuban sandwich, wings and fries, a Cuban sandwich and flat bread. Overall the food was good. Tricia took our orders and got them right without writing anything down.
google avatar

Dina T.

Yelp
Our first time here. SO many TVs. It's easy to watch our football teams play on nice sized screens: inside and outside. I saw a few dogs (the animal) outside which is nice. Small menu, but decent bar food. We like that they have low chairs, not all high tops. It's a fun place.
google avatar

Carey H.

Yelp
Sorry for lack of pics. We joined a couple friends to hang out and watch college football. We enjoyed the 10p wings with 1/2 garlic parmesan and 1/2 mild. The crust is great addition to how typical wings are prepared. The bartenders took great care of is, although 2 of us were on drinking tea. The whole place is really fun, with the dog park, ax throwing, and a walkway to Tropicana Field. They have their own parking area but I don't know if it's free as we had already paid at spot across the street, before we noticed it. We did not go upstairs to check out that part. A fun place to hang with friends while watching games, although the Alabama watch party made for an obnoxious time with their bull horns and such.
google avatar

Mara M.

Yelp
Ferg's is the best! A true St. Pete institution. We come here often to watch games with friends and you can't beat the vibes. Lots and lots of seating and very quirky decor. Reasonable prices too! A plus that you can order food and drinks to your table from your phone via table QR code. Will continue to come back over and over :)
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
Great place. We had wings and a few drinks. Food was good and atmosphere was great and I couldn't even count how many TVs there were. Every seat had a great view of screens. Service was excellent. I definitely wanna go back to Fergs when I come to Saint Pete again.
google avatar

Scott W.

Yelp
Wish I had more time to appreciate all Ferg's has to offer, but there was so much to see during the Annual Halloween street party. We stopped in to take a few pictures and ordered a beer at the window from the lovely Courtney; just $6 for a 16oz Yuengling, ice cold! Courtney was friendly, we shared a great chat, and she was nice enough to let me take a photo with her. Thanks Courtney !! Ferg's is a fun sports bar, with reasonable drink and food prices, and their own parking lot; which is a huge plus since parking is very limited in this area. I would definitely come back!
google avatar

Marissa F.

Yelp
First time ... first thing you walk by is the pizza machine. So wicked awesome. Pete the bartender was amazing. Place is huge! Can seat 700 and feed them! I am overly impressed how it looks like a huge eye sore from the outside. But damn, this is a fun place. Don't walk away; come in for a drink and enjoy the music.
google avatar

Alexandra E.

Yelp
Stopped in to see a local band and was met with a huge happy crowd, attentive and friendly bartenders and super fast service. I was able to find parking behind the restaurant in lot 6, which is paid parking. The place is rather spread out and large, tons of seating and plenty of menu items. I had a Moscow mule some fish bites and fries while I sat at the bar. My experience was great and would definitely go back.

Emily C.

Yelp
Have a band setting up during the biggest CFB games of the day. I don't know why they are a sports bar trying to play live music by an older band at 6 pm on a Saturday in front of the biggest screen they have
google avatar

Patricia F.

Yelp
Fun time at Fergs to start the college football season. Only issue is that if your game is not the chosen game of the day, you can watch yours but will not be able to hear it because the main game is blasted over the speakers. Besides all that, service was great, we had our own cabana and the atmosphere is fun!
google avatar

Isaac A.

Yelp
I got some Mango Cart beer, which was great. I showed up a little before they closed and didn't realize it (was a weekday), so there weren't a lot of people there. They have a ton of games and an upstairs area that I didn't get to check out. I didn't get to have a fair assessment of the establishment.
google avatar

Raymond C.

Yelp
Good spot to pre-game before the Rays game, right outside the stadium. Had the express burger and it was delicious and arrived quickly. Love the indoor and outdoor ambiance. Service was attentive and excellent. Would go back here again.
google avatar

Nick Z.

Yelp
What a fantastic place. My daughter knows the owners, for they come in her bank. We went there while I was in town. Loved everything about it. Great food, service atmosphere and price. I'll be going back.
google avatar

Diane P.

Yelp
Nicole was our server and she was excellent! Very nice and friendly. We ordered wings, chicken sandwich and conch fritter basket. The place is so cool, very unique, laid back, casual...with a fun vibe! Outdoors has cool misting fans, indoor is a/c and very cool!
google avatar

Charles V.

Yelp
Over 100 TVs to watch games. Good assortment of beers. One of the largest bars I've ever been to with a ton of character and perfect service. Give it a try in downtown St Pete with free parking available.
google avatar

Cristy F.

Yelp
I have been here twice, and the food and service has been great. Open, airy, and all around fun atmosphere.
google avatar

Miriam R.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, everyone was friendly.. wish the bathroom was bigger.. the food was great!! Ordered mango habanero wings, beef nachos, and a patron margarita
google avatar

Christi K.

Yelp
LOVE this place! It's always my go to before a rays game! I miss being able to order wings in different quantities! I LOVE when you can pay via an app/qr code, but miss the ability of having a real server for customizations to food and just building a connection with your server! We sit on the patio a lot, so maybe on less busy days I'd hope there was real servers. It sucks if your food is messed up or missing something and no one comes and checks on you and you gotta flag down a bartender. Still giving it 4 stars cuz I love the atmosphere and the food! BUCKET specials are pretty average pricing, which is great before a game!!
google avatar

Breanna H.

Yelp
Oh we loved this place !! What a cool atmosphere that screams St. Pete. It was within walking distance to stadium with a underground tunnel leading right to the stadium. Service was good for how busy it was. We got drinks first and then went to find some seating in some air conditioning because it was still so hot outside. We went inside to the bar and got a turkey wrap and another drink. There were a ton of pretty people here and it's clear this is the place to go if you're in St. Pete!

Nick S.

Yelp
Just had the meat lovers pizza at fergs, 0/10 no seasoning and never brought us ranch #disapointed
google avatar

Bobby L.

Yelp
Fergs is a staple to St. Pete. If you're looking for the best place to pregame the rays game, watch a playoff sporting event or get together for every UFC PPV... Fergs is the place. Drinks are always cheap, service is always amazing, and there is always an open table with the massive size of this place. The only knock I have on the place is since covid hit; they reduced their food menu. Being a pescatarian, there is almost nothing to eat. But I have known this. My buddies and I go to Fergs multiple times a month. Scale system 10/10 would be what I want for my last meal 9.9-9.3 driving out of my way to get this 9.2-8.0 love the place and would go back 7.9-7.0 I would come here again if it were presented and don't have anything bad to say 6.9 and below - thanks but no thanks after try one
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
We stopped in for a bite but since games were on it was a limited menu. Since being from out of town we were not aware, but made it work. Waitress was good. Food was average pub food, drinks were good and beers cold. The place is huge and some areas are loud - Tv's everywhere to watch your favorite team.
google avatar

Beth W.

Yelp
Our neighbor told us about Ferg's so we were looking forward to checking the place out after a Ray's game and it totally hit the mark. It was a great late afternoon/evening for sitting in Ferg's outside space which happened to have the NCAA basketball games on a big screen TV. While we started up at the bar getting drinks and taking them to our table, we realized you could order and pay from the QR code at your table for a quick way to get food and further beverages. We were impressed with how fast the food came our way. We tried their Cuban sandwich and the fish spread and shared it amongst the family as we had eaten earlier at the ball park. The Cuban was good sized and with great flavor. Same with the fish spread. We found Ferg's to be a great place to hang out, enjoy some food and beverages and the beautiful Florida weather. And a bonus, there is a Sunrunner bus stop just outside of the bar giving you public transportation options as well. We look forward to getting back that way!
google avatar

Alison C.

Yelp
I love going to Ferg's, especially during football season--hands down my favorite spot to watch the games. It is always packed though, so if you want a seat you have to get there early. One of--if not the biggest sports bar I've ever gone to, and they have plenty of space indoors and outdoors and an upstairs area. I've only gotten food there once, I got wings and fries. They were fine, nothing special but not bad either. I'd love to see them get other flavors of white claws as they only have mango and black cherry. Service is usually on top of it, despite how busy they are. They also have QR codes you can scan to order and pay and get your drinks delivered right to you so you don't have to wait around or get the bartenders attention to order which is very nice.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first visit and I was amazed by the size of this place and all the intriguing areas. This was a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. The four of us easily found a seat and just took in the atmosphere. TV screens everywhere, a doggie area, foosball table, ax throwing and more. Took us awhile to find a server, but she then brought menus and took our drink order. The menu is extensive with appetizers, salads, wraps, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Prices are decent. I settled on a Corona and a Rays Deluxe, which was a chicken sandwich, grilled or fried, bacon, Swiss cheese, and bbq sauce. There was a bag of chips served as the side. Our server didn't write down our order and had to repeat it back 4 times. Maybe it would be easier just to write it down. The food arrived in an adequate time and was hot. My sandwich looked really good but it wasn't. I was so bummed as I had labored over the menu. The chicken was thick and rubbery and very hard to chew. It's a shame because the other flavors were good. I really wanted to like this place as it has a fun atmosphere.

Junie W.

Yelp
Outstanding service and food was tasteful well worth the value ambience was very nice

Yelp
Definitely a dive bar, but a fun time on Sunday to watch football. The drinks are reasonably priced. Can't speak for the food, but the beer was cold and around the $6 mark, perfect for game day hangout. We are big Giants fan, there was a pretty good Giants fan base there. So many teams were represented though. The place was jam packed, so it was hard to find a spot, even arriving 20 minutes before the game started. We sat at the outside bar, it was great to see the on TV that happened to be playing our game. The only problem was it was swarming with bees. They had containers of limes and that's where they were making all the fruity drinks and shots, so the bees must have been attracted to all the sugar. It has a good vibe with lots of fans, has a local crowd. It is a good spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a game and a cold drink.

Yelp
Atmosphere - Awesome! The place is huge. Located in the Edge District, the sports bar is a fairly short walk to the Trop. Most of the restaurant is open without walls. There are a bunch of bar areas with seating, as well tons of tables (both standard and high tops). Along the sidewalk there are several covered, large rectangular tables with bench seating. They even have live entertainment and axe throwing! We bumped into the owner of the restaurant and he was extremely welcoming and nice. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. Service - Disappointing. Our server took our order without writing anything down and there ended up to be minor mistakes. We were nearly finished with our meal before she checked to ask about our satisfaction with the meal. We were dining with friends and when the bills arrived they were mixed up. Food - Disappointing. I ordered the deli sandwich with Turkey, Roast Beef and cheese oven baked sub. (I have no idea what happened to the picture that I took). What was presented was, for all intents, a French Dip sandwich with Turkey added. It even came with a small cup of au jus for dipping the sandwich! It was not as advertised and the beef was so over cooked that it was dry and brittle. It was so disappointing that, had our server passed by any where near our table within any reasonable amount of time, I would have returned the sandwich. Overall Value - Poor. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich and she was also very disappointed with her meal. It is pretty bad when a sports bar can not make a decent sub sandwich and a chicken breast sandwich.

Yelp
Local bar, food, and ambiance. Bar tenders work hard and get it done. Sports on the Screen. Hang out galore. Come as you are.
google avatar

Rachael G.

Yelp
Wow garlic parm wings and nachos were bomb! I am still dreaming about their garlic parm sauce....and will venture back solely for that! Super fun place with so many different seating options, inside outside tables or bars, corn hole area, private tv areas, would def be a great place to watch a game! Price for food/drinks very reasonable too!
google avatar

Rayna V.

Yelp
This is the most interesting bar concept I've ever been to. It doubles as a dog park which is very cool. They have food and drinks specials daily. I really enjoyed the convenience of ordering via the QR code on the table and being able to keep track of my tab that way as well. The service was excellent. I don't have to wait long for a drink or food. The atmosphere was very casual. They had a live singer/ guitarist which was an absolute plus. I would definitely recommend this place and I will surely be back!!
google avatar

Colton P.

Yelp
Fergs brings me joy every Saturday. Fergs is the place to be to watch any type of sporting event with your buddies
google avatar

V J.

Yelp
Had to order from the express menu. It was after doing flood clean up all day. The Cuban & Turkey wrap were good. Service was not good, our waitress seemed mad to be there (Sat night @ 8 pm ) and irritated that we were ordering food & not just drinks

Melissa B.

Yelp
The wings here are out of this world good it's a long drive from my house but it is worth the drive downtown it was even better when I worked down town on 1st Avenue North Fergs was walking distance from GTE AKA Verizon
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Always a good time at Fergs , the band was great(Barefoot Bob and the Hope Band) and the beer!
google avatar

Paula R.

Yelp
Sports bars do not wow me and for the most part I do not believe they aim to do that. You go for bar food and sports and I got just that. The nachos are not good and came out like warm. The wings were good, so they saved lunch for us. I found the servers to be pleasant. They are not coming by the table to check on you, but when you order through the app, items come out quickly. I love that dogs are welcome and will return simply for the love of sports and dogs.
google avatar

Yelp
It was college game day and the place was busy. Very. We found a table and someone came over to explain how food and drinks are ordered through the phone. Great. We are capable adults. Let's do this. Drinks came quickly. Food was staggered which was odd as we ordered together on one phone. Kind of strange, but not a deal breaker My big issue with all of this is we had no one to ask for help. Something was wrong with one order and we couldn't find a server. We asked two bus boys with no help. They said they would bring someone over, but no one came. We adapted and made due when we realized nothing was going to be done to assist us. We cashed out in the app/site as we were supposed to. As we were getting up, that is when the girl who greeted us returned and asked if there was anything else we needed. We needed her about 20 mins before, but apparently she couldn't be bothered.
