Ferncliff Bungalow

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay at Ferncliff Bungalow. Bernard and his team were incredibly welcoming and the grounds and decor of the hotel were beautiful. It was so peaceful & quiet but didn't take long to walk into the centre of town. Would highly recommend the walking tour as well, it was really informative. The food was also really tasty, and so generous too! Would highly recommend.

THE place to stay in Nuwara Eliya - the team here lead by Bernard are excellent and welcome you warmly into this beautiful guest house. The foods is amazing - we loved the breakfast and our evening meal. Each night we appreciated the hot water bottles delivered to our room. Lots of personal touches during our stay here. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the old world charm this house has maintained. |Highly recommend Ferncliff as the best place to stay in this charming town

Beautiful colonial bungalow in the heart of the Nuwaraeliya Town. Ferncliff bungalow is well maintained and offers old world charm with modern amenities. Although it is in the middle of the town, once you enter the premises you do not feel so. The views of the surrounding mountains are amazing. We stayed in the room named Amelia which was spacious with a nice view of the garden. The washroom was spacious and included a bathtub. The service was exceptional and warm. Bernard and his team made us feel like home. We enjoyed each and every meal we had there and always had our tummys full. Have no hesitation recommending Ferncliff Bungalow for your visit to NE.

We came on a rainy day and was able to walk inside the bungalow garden. Dinner and breakfast was good . The fire place inside is functioning unlike other colonial Era bungalows. Bernard the incharge was a great host. Library has interesting books including a 1884 bound volumes of a London weekly !!

100000/10. The best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Beautiful both inside and out. Excellent service and very friendly staff. We had an amazing dinner, all homemade food. The perfect place to disconnect and relax in nature. Feels like home!!

This was my first visit to Ferncliff Bungalow in Nuwara Eliya, and it was amazing. We enjoyed it a lot because the hotel is boutique-style, surrounded by greenery, and has a beautiful antique look. We loved spending time both inside and outside, enjoying the fresh air and delicious dinner & breakfast. The food was made with a lot of care and consideration. The staff at Ferncliff were exceptionally warm and friendly. The bedrooms were excellent and spotlessly clean, like the rest of the hotel. Everything about the hotel felt magical. I would highly recommend it.

We recently stayed at Ferncliff Bungalow in Nuwara Eliya, and it was a fantastic experience. The bungalow has this old-world charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, but with all the modern comforts you need. The gardens with a view of Piduruthalagala, the tallest mountain and thyme, rosemary and apples growing are beautiful and perfect for a morning stroll with a cup of tea. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, Roshan took care of us perfectly well. making sure we had everything we needed. Having authentic chicken lamprais for Dinner and sri lankan string hoppers for Breakfast was delicious with fresh, local ingredients. It was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy retreat.
