I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean. The restaurant was pretty good for remote Australia. The lodge is perfectly located within walking distance of everything in Cape Tribulation and the bus to Cairns. I highly recommend doing the night walk as it was absolutely fascinating (Kane was so knowledgeable). Be mindful that it can book out 1-2 days before.

Loved the quiet setting and wildlife. The outdoor kitchenette was different but made up for no microwave. If you don't like bugs it's not the place for you as they don't use any pest control to prevent any impact on the environment.

Awesome location - walkable to the beach, tours, grocery store, and restaurants but far enough from the main road to feel like you’re in the rainforest. Clean and well maintained lodges with nice bathrooms and most importantly hot showers. The service is hands off (they don’t make up your lodge during your stay) but they will deliver clean towels, sheets, and whatever you need on request.

The following comments are meant to be an informative review for prospective clients.|1. There was a kettle and 4 mugs and teaspoons. A toaster was also supplied but no crockery or cutlery so not sure how the toast would work.|2. There were only 2 small open shelves for storage for possible 4 people staying there.|3. There was a TV on the wall but no mention of the fact that there were no free to air channels. You could supposedly hotspot to a device and only if you have the Telstra network. We could not get this to work and there were no staff who knew how to help us.|4. There was nowhere to hang towels hard again if there were 4 people staying.|5. No adequate lighting on paths at night - it was quite dangerous. Lots of the lights that were there were not working.|6. Childproof door at the top of the steep stairs had no latch.|7. Much of the time the reception staff were elsewhere but were exceptionally helpful when you could find someone.|8. We stayed at this resort 32 years ago and it is now showing signs that a lot of maintenance and financial investment is needed.

Comfortable accommodation in the Daintree rainforest environment. Spacious cabins well spaced apart. Great swimming pool that looks like a crystal clear pond in its rainforest environment. Staff were initially hard to find at reception but were friendly and helpful (as was the restaurant staff). Restaurant was not open for breakfasts and my room did not have kitchenette (need to bring breakfast supplies in transit before arrival). Evening dinner service had limited food options seemingly awaiting for more food and beverages to be delivered. Overall well worth spending a two or three days there and take in tours that can be booked at the hotel.

We had a fantastic time during our stay. Everything was spot on — the accommodation was comfortable and well maintained. There was plenty of space to park the car, which made things really easy. The surroundings are simply spectacular, with the natural beauty of the Daintree Forest all around. We thoroughly enjoyed not only our time at the accommodation but also exploring the stunning Daintree area. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a great getaway!

Had a wonderful guided night tour with Jason tonight. Saw a variety of insects, spiders, frogs and snakes. Jason was very knowledgeable and friendly. His love for nature and passion for conservation shine through.

These rooms are comfortable tree houses. My kids loved the loft. The Daintree is awe inspiring. Short walk to the boardwalk. The chef at the Cassowary Restaurant cooks incredible south Indian curries.
