Contact less reception on arrival but that was mentioned in confirmation email, Air-conditioning and ceiling fan appreciated, and the room was tidy and clean. Basic toiletries, but expected that. Tried the pool, despite not being able to see the bottom, very milky looking, full of leaves and not even sure that the filtration was running. But it was that hot needed to cool down. At that point did not realize that there was no hot water at all in our freestanding cabin, despite running the hot tape only. Only found that out after the swim when wanting to get washed and clean after the swim. If you don't mind a cold shower, not too bad. Nice dinner in the restaurant.

We booked a ‘luxury’ eco lodge for our family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It was NOT luxury in any way ! The rooms were dirty, the bathroom stank, and dirty. The toilet seat broken. There as no little extras for the kitchenette - we had to ask the restaurant for bowls and spoons for our morning cereal. Needs a big update ! The loft also had no PowerPoint which was an issue to not be able to charge phones. The pool was not clean ! My son did not want to stay in it for longer as it had algae. On a positive - the restaurant was lovely . Very very basic for the price !!!!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a family of 4. Our Children are 14 and 10. ||This hotel is set in the middle of the rainforest and is a beautiful setting. The lady on reception is lovely and really helpful. She arranged some trips for us and provided towels to take. ||We stayed in a lodge with an annex which the kids loved. You are surrounded by wildlife which is amazing and the pool is like a tropical paradise. |The restaurant provided an excellent selection of food and the quality was amazing. The owner works really hard and goes above and beyond. ||If you’re looking for a 5* hotel then this is not for you but if your looking to be at one with nature in the rainforest this is a magical experience. The beach is also a 5 min walk away. Highly recommend the ocean safari snorkelling with is 5 mins away and the night walk to see the creepy crawlies!

Loved it except for the pool was very green, we unfortunately couldn't swim in it.. other than that, the rooms where very unique and I enjoyed the experience alot. The location is also very good 👍 the price could be a little cheaper due to no wifi and the pool being dirty, but we are already planning to go back as we enjoyed the area so much. Definitely felt in touch with nature and the forest.

We spent 12 nights in a garden loft and enjoyed our rest days at the lodge just as much as we enjoyed the days out exploring. The pool, lobby, restaurant and winding forest paths through the accomodation areas are so picturesque. The staff are friendly and they respect your privacy. If you are used to 5 star luxury accomodation, then the rooms may disappoint, but it is more than made up by the magic setting to relax and experience the rainforest right from the comfort of your balcony. Our family experienced a magical, relaxing getaway, far away from the hustle and bustle.

Restaurant and bar staff were great other than that we didn’t see any other staff during our stay. The rooms are basic and yes there is a smell but you’re in the rainforest and remote so we weren’t expecting a five star resort with all the luxury. Enjoyed the extra time up at cape tribulation which the stay here afforded.

It is such a beautiful location and the staff are working very hard to ensure their guests are looked after. The three star review is in no way diminishing the friendliness of the staff or their willing to serve. It is simply to say that having no restaurant open in the mornings, and randomly closed at night is not what is promoted. Also having a pool that is randomly closed is also an issue. The staff seem very overworked currently and maybe there needs to be a little more updating of the website to show amenities that may be compromised currently.

immediately we noticed that there are zero path lights, despite it being pitch black when we checked in. mind you they seem to have some but are not turned on. we walked into our room hoping to have a relaxing time, but i immediately discovered that there were bugs in the room, one two bugs on our bed and six ants scattered about with the one or two spider. i understand that the location is a hard place to get bugs away but they didn’t even close one of our windows, so all the bugs were allowed in. they have zero fly screens allowing them free entry, one of the most frustrating things was seeing spider webs and cob webs scattered about. this place is not worth your money stay somewhere that actually cares and does something instead of replying to reviews.
