11 Best Airbnbs in Bermuda for a Dreamy Beach Getaway | Condé Nast Traveler

"Jaw-dropping vistas of the cerulean North Shore steal the show at this one-bedroom oceanfront cottage, where new renovations bring airy, modern comforts in ocean-inspired blues (yes, even seashell-shaped pillows). The setup is thoughtfully done: a full bathroom with a tub, room-darkening shades, and a hair dryer; a terrace and private oceanfront dock with water-sport equipment; plus an outdoor dining area and barbecue for lingering afternoons. Located in central Bermuda, it’s a seven-minute drive to a grocery store and 10 minutes to Hamilton, and the sweeping ocean views are never out of sight. It’s the kind of place where I’d happily slow down and let the scenery do the heavy lifting." - Kristin Braswell

The place has an 80's retro feel to it, which seems intentional on the owners' part. The decor seems to harken back to 1986. However, some people may enjoy that sort of retro experience. The place is comfortable and clean, and the residents were friendly and hospitable. It has nice views of the mountains, and it is only 5 minutes from the city center. We stayed in Durango to ride the train, and we were there on a straight shot. I will recommend the place....but a refurbishment and remodeling should be in the near future.

We stayed in unit 20. It was very nice. Amazingly roomy. It felt more like a house than it did a hotel / condo. the only real issue we had was the air mattress had a hole in it, and a power strip was that to sit on a heater melting it and exposing the innards.

Nice one-bedroom unit very close to town. Loved the pool and used as a hub to Mesa Verde. The loft was great for kids to sleep in. Nothing to complain about as the unit had all necessary amenities. Would highly recommend for the price.

Stayed four nights in unit 48, two story unit with loft, and it was perfect! Unit is very clean and well maintained. The complex is quiet and peaceful. Thanks for a great vacation! Would definitely stay again in the future!

There were five of us in our party. All complained about the uncomfortable beds. The only access to any units seems to be up at least one flight of stairs, and there are no elevators, so if you have issues with stairs, this place is not for you. There was not enough light for reading in bed. (Light on only one side of the bed.) The unit we stayed in had insufficient and uncomfortable chairs in the living room, although the sofa was okay. But visiting in the living room was a little difficult. Plenty of hot water, adequate appliances in the kitchen, and it was quiet.

We came yesterday about 5:15 Pm. Office was closed. No instruction send to us how to check in. It took 1 hour (after contacting Air B $B) then host contacted us by phone. It was not shown in the photo nor mentioned (during booking) that we have to climb 40 to 50 stairs to get to our place. I have COPD and my family helped me to get there. It was horrible. I do not know how I am going to spend two more days here. In the morning I woke up and found toilet is not working. It is 6 am in the morning I hope I can contact some one to day to fix the toilet. Air B $ B in the past you did gave us good service but this the worst one. I will never, never book for this kind of Condo any more, nor I want this kind of rude host.||Happy Thanks Giving

From start to finish, will not stay here again. Check-in is at 4pm. My travel party got there at 5 minutes after 5pm and office was closed. Had to drive to a different location on property and retrieve my own keys, and locate our rented condo. We let ourselves in and were pretty disappointed. Our party consisted of 2 adult couples and the second bedroom had 2 twin beds. We reserved the Drake condo and nowhere on the site where I booked was I led to believe it would be anything BUT a queen size bed in each bedroom. I gave the other couple the master since I booked this condo. The other couple refused to even use the shower in the master bathroom, it was so gross. Beyond that, the living room furniture was very well worn and a vaccuum was just left in the hallway. (petty complaint, but c'mon)

Travelled this July with 2 adults and 3 kids. Condo was super clean, gave a lot of room and in room washer/ dryer. The Drake is a lower floor but there are significant stairs everywhere in this complex. If mobility is anything of an issue I would stay else where. Check in was odd as we were there at posted hours but had to go pick up our keys at the after hours place. Location is close to train station and everything downtown.

Yelp
Checking in was as expected. But you will need to check specifically as to what you will get with the condo. We rely on room specifics to get a tub and there is only a shower. You can't count on major booking sites to accurately depict the room you get. Add in the "trophies" in our particular unit and it's not a great place to stay. Better for a major chain for accuracy than staying here

Yelp
My husband, a friend and I went to Durango for the Single Speed World Championships and we needed a place to stay. We looked around town and the cheezy motels were the same as the price of a condo at Ferringway so it seemed to be the obvious choice. The condo is pretty basic so I guess it depends on what you are looking for. The place was clean, in a central location and has super hot water for showers. It is also close to different bike trails. We had a bottom unit and we were able to hear the upstairs neighbors, not too bad though.

Yelp
BEWARE!!!! I booked this through Booking.com. The confirmation made no mention of several flights of open stairs, dissrepair and generally not even close to a "Resort". Don't be fooled by outdated pictures and "Resort" description. This unit was old, dusty, dingy, had two window air conditioners and a kitchen from the 60's. My wife has a disability, and we could not climb the 3 flights of stairs. They made no accomodation and told me to call Booking.com for a refund. Booking.com said it wasn't their decision and after two weeks the Ferrinway declined a refund. We left because we could not use and our documents indicate nothing about no elevators or services - what is a "resort?". Stay at Holiday Inn - you will be very satisfied.

Yelp
I believe I had the misfortune of meeting the "blonde" manager who was described in other posts. Wow! What a miserable person! I was there with 6 other families for a sports tournament. After a hard game, the kids wanted to sit in the hot tub. After 5 minutes, my son came back and told me he needed an adult with him (he's 13). That's fine - when I got there, this woman said kids needed to be supervised. I said that's why I was here. She then said she had been watching them for half an hour and I should be grateful. I pushed back on the half hour part (I still had no idea who she was). She then said I needed to learn how to be a f&$ing parent. All the while her husband(?) and 2 dogs were getting their jabs as well. All and all, not enjoyable. Stay away!!

Yelp
I found myself stranded in Durango. I was referred to Ferringway and what great luck. I travel frequently to Durango and usually stay at one of the hotels. The condo they gave me was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Staff was great. The condo had a full kitchen. Having the washer/dryer in the unit was very convenient. Have been back four times. About a 4 minute drive to all of the shops and restaurants.

Yelp
We had the worst experience EVER. We were accused of leaving vomit and blood on the walls, floor, and sink area of the bathroom. We had absolutely no assistance getting the wifi to work (and were given the brush off for even asking) and we needed it ASAP. AND she didn't give UPS directions to our unit when we were awaiting an urgent package and it wasn't delivered because UPS couldn't find the unit. And when I confronted the woman claiming to be manager, she blamed UPS and took no responsibility for her role in the delivery of a package that she KNEW we were needing. There were bits of food in the carpeting and hair on the pillowcases. Also, I was bitten an ALARMING number of times by insects -- we're talking 15-20 bites on my hands and feet. We moved to Durango and the first month we spent at the Ferringway got progressively worse. We were DYING to leave ASAP. Also, there was a lot of noise in the parking lots by people being loud and obnoxious making it difficult to fall asleep at night. I will tell everyone in the Fort Lewis/Durango community to STAY AWAY from the Ferringway!!!!!!!!
