Ferron's Jerk Chicken Av. 105 Ejido

We are here on a weekday, wasn’t busy. Ordered jerk chicken, fried chicken, Mac and cheese, plantains, beef patties and garlic bread. The jerk chicken was fall off the bone good, the skin had an amazing flavor to it, didn’t even need any sauce. Best jerk chicken I’ve ever had! You’d be hard pressed to find fried chicken in PDC but this right here was outstanding, crispy and flavorful on the inside. The plantains are served with this garlicky sour cream, unconventional but it works. If you’re ordering the beef patty I’ll warn you it’s not the traditional style it’s made of like a masa which is real greasy and kind of tough, we weren’t a fan. I would also skip the Mac and cheese. If you ever had southern baked Mac you’ll consider this to taste like Kraft Blue box Mac. Side bar- they make the most amazing frozen passion fruit margaritas. The service was excellent, food came out fast and we spent about $65 USD. Overall a great gem.

Delicious food. We had the chicken and rib combo. The Chicken was juicy and tender and the same for the Ribs. The sides of Mac and cheese, beans and rice, fries and coleslaw did not disappoint. Strawberry margarita was good and rum punch had a good share of alcohol. Food was worth the money and the best meal we’ve had in a while. We love Playa Del Carmen and happy we’ve found one of their many gems. We will be back without question!

The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because the place it’s a little too small and the chairs as well and is warm (only 1 AC out of 2 was on). But the food was pretty good, good portions, tasty and fresh.

A bit far inside the city, it's high quality food and tasty. Extra delivery for 30 pesos, kinda worth it. It's what I consider to be a hidden gem in Playa del Carmen . Excellent value price ratio.

Wonderfully located spot with awesome music and tremendous food. Staff is friendly and attentive. Bathrooms are clean and well functioning. Vegetarian? The cole slaw, bread, seasoned fries and corn were off the chain. Meat eater? Highly recommend the jerk chicken plate. Can’t wait to come back on my next trip to try Mac n cheese as well and the fried chicken.

The meal itself was authentic. Jamaican jerk chicken just like I use to eat back in Negril. Totally worth a try. Service was quick and the waiters spoke english as well.

Delicious jerk chicken, the sauce is a little spicy, you can order it on the side if you prefer. The coleslaw was a big portion and very tasty. Very friendly service accompanied by some soft reggae music. Go check them out!
