Nice trails to stroll, lovely beach, free admission for seniors from Maine, pet friendly trails, dogs not allowed on the beach. Very nice nature center!

Beach area very nice on a rainy day but the water birds were just enjoying their lunch. The park has nesting g piping lovers around the dunes so be mindful of fenced areas. No dogs on beach during nesting season per beach rules

Google
In my opinion, one of the best beaches in Maine!!!!!!!! Totally worth it the 20 dollars 7 day pass. It feels like you are in Norway or Finland

Google
Decent walk to beach from parking. Overall a great place. Some walking trails. State Park.

Google
A great destination whether you want to go to the beach or do a walk on the trail or just sit and have a picnic

This is a beautiful little park with gentle paths winding through the woods and a really lovely beachfront area. I visited after the tourist season was over and experienced some true fall magic here. The sun shining through the trees and all the colors just exploding around the park made it such a peaceful place to spend some time. A really special spot that I’m glad I got to experience.

Love Love Love this so super clean state park. It's prett small as far as sitting but to walk its absolutely gorgeous. Get there early they open at 10 am. $5 for residents. Bathrooms are always stocked and super clean, Well as clean as out house toilets go lol.

Chill beach from a mesh path going under the road for a short walk through the state park. Use your debit card at the park gate $5 resident, $7 out of state. accessible from bay view road. Outhouse style bathrooms on the back side with a nature walk. Surf is mild, no good for surfers due to the rocky shelf and islands a short distance from shore. Lots of rocks and shells to collect at low tide. There were also a bunch of small neck clams washing up when we were there. Cool plovers running around the surf as well.

Yelp
Nice walk through pine trees, we ran into a friendly snake. Sunned on the rocks and watched the seagulls and crows do their thing. Seems to be a sharky area from the sign. Good place for a walk and a reboot in nature.

Yelp
This place costed too much and had basically nothing in it. There were barely any people, the beach was small, and their nature center had little to nothing to look at. Everything in the nature center was just a bunch of stuff put together to make it seem somewhat interesting but it was very fake. There is a reason why only people from out of state go here cause they don't know what is here.

Yelp
Ferry Beach is perfect for those with little ones! I think of Ferry Beach more as a "Mother's Beach" as it's not connected to a large mass of the Atlantic. There are lots of children for yours to make friends with, shallow waters, and a sandy beach with no debris. During the summer hours, the entrance fee to park in the private lot is $15 (CASH ONLY) per vehicle from 9 AM-3 PM and $5 before 9 AM and after 3 PM.

Yelp
Beautiful slice of wilderness near Old Orchard Beach. I was looking for a place to grill some marshmallows and their picnic area with raised bbq pits(?) did the trick perfectly. Very clean and peaceful.

Yelp
I have lived in Maine all of my life, however never visited Ferry Beach as a child. Years ago, I purchased a State of Maine park pass when I paid my taxes and decided to visit many of the State of Maine parks and Ferry Beach State Park was high on my list. I spent that summer and many that followed visiting the park. The last time visiting, this past summer, the day was perfect with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The beach itself isn't all that long, however it connects to Ocean Park, Old Orchard and Pine Point beaches, so If you are up for a long walk the opportunity is there. There are also wooded walking paths, picnic areas and even an ecology education building that provides a history of the park, as well as, information about the wildlife and ocean creatures that call the park their home. I was Instantly impressed with the friendly park rangers that spend their days between Memorial Day and Labor Day collecting park entrance fees, monitoring the large parking lot and simply maintaining the area. The bathrooms are outhouses, however they have showers and changing areas for those who need to rinse off the salty ocean water and change into or out of their bathing suits. There is a bit of a walk from the parking area to the beach, but you walk directly under a bridge where children love to talk loudly to hear their echo. I discovered Ferry Beach State Park as an adult and now it is "must" visit each summer.

Yelp
Lived in the area for 14 years. Always my go to beach. Bayview was always crowded with tourist, and same with Camp Ellis. This is a spot that is great for everyone. Toilets, changing room, hiking trails, picnic area along trail & near parking lot. Usually has lifeguard on duty. Also has a newly opened nature center which is great for all ages. Typical state park fees apply - resident discount & discount for loon plate carriers. Great small state park!

Yelp
Looking for guaranteed parking and the basics? Ferry Beach State Park has both. There are toilets, parking and trails. The area it encompasses of Ferry Beach is surprisingly small. That means a crowded beach. Parking can be tough throughout Saco and OOB, so for peak times of the year, it is a safe bet to pay the fee.

Yelp
Nice beach with plenty of space for everyone... Bring a buggy with you, the walk to the beach is easy but might be helpful.

Yelp
If you're new here, make sure to bring extra cash, bc you've gotta pay a parking fee during the season. It's free parking otherwise during the off season. Awesome place to go SUP aka stand up paddle boarding when it's not too windy. The Scarborough marshes leads out to here. You can go clam digging here too. Has 1 port-o-potty

Yelp
For the most part Ferry Beach is a nice park with access to a sandy beach and wooded trails. Unfortunately the day we were there someone was firing some very loud weaponry close by. It was not a serene place to be! We were on the trails, not the beach so I don't know if you could hear it on the beach or not, but it was very loud and distracting. Too bad because the park really is a nice little park. For those of you still interested in visiting it does have out house style bathrooms and a changing room, a few picnic tables and a very nice educational center. Most of it is handicapped accessible, except for the beach once you get off the wooden pathway.

Yelp
After a lovely saunter through coastal woodlands we came to a short tunnel that took us under the road and we were at the long beach and the deep blue of the Atlantic...
