Feuerstein Nature Family Resort

Overall a good stay with excellent facilities, but some inconsistencies for the price and areas for the improvement. Arrival was confusing; reception gave incomplete information, and the room wasn’t ready when shown. The room itself was spacious, very clean, though the double bed had two single duvets and one child’s bed wasn’t made. Turn-down service was requested but never provided. Food was disappointing — especially lunches were limited, oily, and overly salty. Kids’ meals lacked vegetables and rice options. Paying extra for still and sparkling water, as well as soft drinks for adults, felt unnecessary for a family-run resort. Restaurant service was disorganised with long waits and frequent drink mix-ups, though waiter Ali was excellent. Kids’ facilities are outstanding — Hay Barn, kids club, playgrounds, and Mud Club Sports Arena are top-notch. Both children were injured on the first day in the day care, and staff response felt too casual, which could be concerning during peak times. Spa facilities are excellent, though pool areas were cold and family saunas were not operating in the mornings. Adult spa and massages with Angelica were exceptional. Service communication could improve (e.g., birthday cake charged without confirming price). Would return off-peak for the facilities, but food, service, and communication need improvement.

I only have wonderful things to say about this hotel. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with stunning views and excellent sound insulation. The childcare was outstanding. Our 5- and 2-year-olds had the best time. The staff were so kind, and the kids’ activities were creative, fun, and full of memorable moments. We also loved the spa. The Aufguss experience in the sauna was fantastic. The food was another highlight. Everything was truly perfect, with something for everyone, and the coffee was excellent. Dinner was absolutely exceptional. I’ve never eaten so well at an all-inclusive resort. We especially loved being able to try different wines each evening. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. Kudos to the management. This hotel delivers a genuine five-star experience. We can’t wait to come back!

Just got back from a week at Feuerstein with our 18 month old daughter and it was one of the most enjoyable holidays we’ve ever had. We picked this resort in part due to the 70 hrs of childcare which catered to under 2s and while the standard of care was excellent, we barely used it as there was so much amazing stuff to keep us busy as a family.||With kids and adult spas, multiple (amazing) play areas, a mini farm, outdoor playgrounds a sports hall and loads of family friendly spaces we had no trouble finding fun things to do every day. That’s before you step out of the hotel ground and into the beautiful valley in which the hotel is situated. The hotel offers good quality carriers and off road buggies, both of which we used to do some gentle hiking with our daughter. You can get to some beautiful mountain spots pretty easily, just 10-15 walk from the hotel.||We stayed in an Alpenjade suite, which was incredibly spacious and had jaw dropping views of the surrounding mountains. The suites are close to lots fun stuff for tiny kids (play barn, mini playroom, sports hall, outdoor playground) and are really quiet, so would definitely recommend them from anyone wanting a bit more space, away from the main hotel building. ||Food is a huge part of the experience and we had a lovely time eating together. The food is good and the menu pretty varied, more importantly there were stacks of great options for our daughter, which meant happier mealtimes for everyone! All the food is included, but we did end up spending a small fortune on drinks (including a few bottles of truly delicious bottles of wine after some gentle upselling from their excellent sommeliers).||Most guests seemed to drive there, especially from nearby countries, but we flew into Innsbruck and took a hotel-arranged transfer, which was straightforward but quite expensive. If you’re planning ahead, looking at taxi alternatives could be a good idea.||Overall, it’s a beautifully-designed resort for families, especially with small kids. There’s enough to do that the days fly by, the service is excellent and both kids and adults have plenty of their own space. We will return.

I can’t recommend this place enough — whether you have children or not, it’s an incredible destination. Nestled in a stunning valley surrounded by majestic mountains, the scenery alone is worth the trip. Every morning, you wake up, open your window, and are greeted by breathtaking views of mountains and waterfalls. It’s pure peace and beauty. The food here is outstanding. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included, and the variety is amazing — there’s truly something for everyone: kids, adults, and even the pickiest eaters. Drinks aren’t exactly cheap, but there’s a wide selection to choose from, so you’ll never feel limited. What really makes this place special, though, is the endless list of activities. You can drop your kids off at the childcare center (open most of the day), where they’ll have a blast doing crafts, games, and outdoor fun with the teachers. Meanwhile, parents can relax at the spa, go hiking or mountain biking, or just enjoy some quiet time. There’s so much to do together as a family too — pony rides, five different swimming pools, bike rentals with child trailers, badminton, football, playgrounds, and even treehouses. The resort also organizes fun activities like kids vs. parents football matches, woodcraft workshops, trampoline bungee jumping, and painting sessions. There’s truly something happening every hour of the day. Yes, it’s not a budget destination, but every dollar feels well spent. Between the scenery, the food, the activities, and the overall experience, it’s one of those rare places that really has it all. If you’re looking for a mix of relaxation and adventure — for both adults and kids — this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Amazing resort nestled at the top of a stunning valley. Waterfalls and mountains surround the resort making for stunning views. It really is a paradise for families. There are so many things for the kids to do (playground, ninja room, iWall, table tennis, swimming pools, epic times water slide) as well as a whole set of organised activities for various ages. The spa and sauna area are wonderfully relaxing and quiet. The food, service etc. are all top notch. If you want to get out and hike or do other activities there is plenty on offer as well - they organize excursions for families, adults only, and teenagers.

Best hotel in Europe for kids. My kids enjoyed every moment of the stay, there are many diverse activities each day, the kids will never be bored and 100% away from screens. The parents also can enjoy their time in the adults only spa. The staff is very very kind and helpful, and food is good. A great winter escape hotel!!

We’re just back from a week at Feuerstein and having major post holiday blues. This place surpassed all our expectations. We’re booking to come back in the winter to experience it again. The service and staff are exceptional. The property itself is gorgeous and meticulously maintained as well as being kid friendly so not too precious. We were blown away by the balance they’ve achieved of a luxury experience for parents and kids without compromising for either. All details were thoughtful and smartly done. The restaurant and food are beyond what we could have imagined. It’s miles ahead of any previous family resort dining experiences . Food, wine selection, array of dishes and ordering options all excellent. Whilst we only used the kids club a few times, the activities and staff there were brilliant. All were kind, fun, patient and took time to get to know our kids so they felt relaxed. Top tip would be bring a little rucksack and water bottle for kids to take into childcare with them. If you don’t have items (we didn’t) they have a selection at reception. The spa was a highlight for us. Over a week we had multiple treatments between two adults and all were expertly done as well as being great value. Overall, this was an incredible family holiday experience. It shines in all weather, caters for the entire family and we left feeling refreshed and connected- brilliant!

It is our fifth stay at Feuerstein and I surely have a thorough understanding of both the resort and the region. Food is great; staff, for many I know by face by now, are very nice; facilities are good for kids; and the best massages I have ever had in Europe. The fact I have returned for four times shows how much I liked it. Having all these being said, my stay of last week fell apart. The overall issue is simple: the resort is expanding fast but many seasonal staff were not well trained. I have food orders missing in the air, confused dinner service and the worst of the worst, was the check out. The day before our departure, I saw my neighbour chalet parents moving with multiple bags and three young kids. It was quite chaotic so I was giving a hand. I asked why they did not call for the service. The response was: "we did but they never came; and now our shuttle bus to the airport is leaving...." Ok, so we decided to move the luggages ourselves to make sure everything is on time at departure. I checked out at 10:30am at the reception. Between 10:30 and 12:30, I was locked out of the chalet twice as the key card did not work. The staff came to deliver new card each time very quickly but did not mention much why I was locked out. The most frustrating part was when we are all packed with luggages and two kids walking towards the garage, our key card could not open the garage door. For those who have never been here, this is a HUGE resort. My husband had to go all around the ground floor to enter the garage and open the door for us from the other side, while I was waiting with the kids and luggages. I wrote an email to complain. The response i received was no more than saying: it is our rules and it is not our fault. The overlooked fact is these rules are NEW (because we were invited for lunch of the departure day many times before and now it cost 100 Euro covering lunch and facilities but not the room). I am not objecting the new rules or the cost involved; but please explain them better as they are very confusing even for the returning customers! For ski classes for children, Feuerstein does not book for the guests. Although the transfer and coordination between the resort and ski has been smooth, it is still a bit stressful to arrange the ski lessons by yourself, while other similar resorts in the region will do that for the guests. Also, compared with other family resorts, the activities offered to adults are very limited here. There are gym lessons everyday but very few outdoor activities to explore the region.
