Senor Luis made a dream of mine come true. To most it’s just a dining experience- to me it was a life changing moment of pure bliss and gratitude. The food was everything I dreamed it would be, fresh flavorful and beautifully presented. I can’t thank Luis enough for giving me the opportunity to experience this level of authenticity! I will sing the praises of this fine establishment around the world! Michelin star worthy

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the waiters are very attentive. The menu us mostly traditional regional food along with a wine list that also features wine from the region. The slow stewed lamb with bread soup is the perfect stew for a chilly evening. The meat was juicy, the broth flavorful and even the potato was delicious. If you only have time for one meal in town, this is the place that you don't want to miss.

Best service, lovely ambiente and greates food in our travel from north to south through portugal. Thanks for this very great evening. It was worth any penny. We will come back, when we are in this area again.

Had a very nice lunch at this place that has been around for more than a century with the same chef for 30 + years. The table was set up for several starters including Iberian ham. Grilled octopus, bread, cheese with an apricot jam, faca beans mushrooms, cod carpaccio. We had a glass of white and a glass Of red from a local winery. And we ordered the veal steak and grilled pork both of which are delicacies from this Alentejo region

Excellent restaurant with classic Portuguese cuisine. The lamb was truly outstanding. If you are a fan of salted codfish, go for it. I found it too oily for my gallbladder ☹️

We had lunch at Fialho on a weekday. Very busy and fun environment. Our server was João and he’s great. We had the ham, pork cheek and lamb. All tasted excellent! The restaurant was so cute and nicely decorated. Recommend to book a table in advance.

An elegant place to enjoy dinner specializing in some of the Alentajo region’s fine cuisine. Service was excellent and formal, but not stuffy or pretentious. They do a great job creating an ambiance that is both traditional but also bright, clean and inviting. The meat and fish are absolutely excellent. My only regret was eating too much because I wanted to try it all!

We got lucky with a table for 3 without a reservation. Exceptional dining experience with the family. The food was incredible from the appetizers to entrees to desserts. The American vintage music in the background was a nice touch, the waiters were extremely attentive and the restaurant got filled very quickly as it should.

Top notch everything...service, food, wine, ambiance. I included a picture of our receipt of all the things we ordered. Everything was delicious and we highly recommend all of it. We had lunch. Reservations are strongly recommended but we attempted to walk in with success of getting a table at the end of May.

Firstly, make sure to make a reservation. Very popular place that fills up fast. Very nice white table service. There are 3 appetizers already on your table when you're seated. In our case, octopus salad, bread and prosciutto. We tried the prosciutto, which was very good. The wine list is very extensive. We asked for help in a recommendation and had a very nice bottle of red that was local. Very reasonably priced and very tasty. We had the black hoofed Iberian pork with smashed apples. Very good and tender. We also had the kid lamb, with potatoes and greens. Extremely tender and tasty. All very good and would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I enjoyed a nice meal of black pork here on a Sunday night in early October. The restaurant is sneaky large with two dining rooms on the street level and more tables down the stairs. Every table already has several appetizers on it when you are seated. We ordered our wine and water before digging into the apps. We had to pace ourselves for the pork dish to come later and only ate the cured ham, soft cheese with bread. The squid and red pepper dishes were also quite tempting. They made a point at each table that you are only charged for what you eat. Service was attentive and quick this evening. Our black pork entrees arrived shortly after we finished our first course. We both ordered the same dish of black pork (3 decent size grilled pieces) with rosemary, smashed apples (applesauce), small potatoes and cooked onions. There was also a cracker with jam on it that we weren't sure what to do with. We tried mixing it with the pork and applesauce but it easily overpowered the other flavors. The black pork was excellent. Nice and juicy with no bone. I really enjoyed it mixed with a little applesauce. The portions were too large for my wife but I was able to clean my plate. For dessert, my wife got a small cheesecake and I the chocolate cake with ice cream. Both were delicious. We chatted a bit with a neighboring table of fellow Americans before making the short walk back to our room off the main square.

Consistent good, great seethed and terrific appetizers. The place is a bit pricey for the area. However, it is always packed and you need a reservation. The lamb chops are delish, but so are most of their entrees

After attempting to find a table at 10 different restaurants on a Saturday night we finally made it to one of the best restaurants in Evora. Beautiful family run business for over 70 years which also won many different excellence awards. From A to Z everything was perfect. Our waiter Juan was extremely attentive and made excellent recommendations for our wine, main dish and desert. We both ordered the lamb dish that came with potatoes which was extremely tasty and juicy. I would love to know how it was prepared so I can make something similar at home. We also ordered the almond cake desert which was heavenly. Well deserved five star for their food, service and ambiance. Make sure you reserve to avoid the wait and ensure you have a table :-)

They've been in business 70 years for good reason. Excellent service, delicious but a bit pricey. Get a reservation. Grilled black pork is epic. Skip the bacalou.

This is a very nice, fancy restaurant in Evora. Good food and good service. Reasonable prices for the quality of food.

Historic Restaurant in Evora. It starts with the beautiful old decor/ building to the 50 years in business. Service was attentive and helpful in explaining the regional dishes on the menu. Food was well prepared and well seasoned. If you are looking for an upscale experience at reasonable prices this is a definite stop in Evora
