Where to Stay in Paris (Updated 2025)

"I found this large hostel to feel like a hotel conference center—often hosting school groups—so it’s not a party hostel; it’s located in a quiet neighborhood, includes breakfast, and all rooms are en-suite (dorms available only to those 18–30)." - Matthew Kepnes

Went here for a school trip. Really enjoyed it here! The dinners were great, so were the breakfasts though I would've liked a bit more variety. Rooms were clean and comfy with ample charging ports and room space. The bathroom was also very clean and so were the rooms. The cat was also very friendly :) Would recommend.

I stayed in a private room.....The rooms are spacious....But the floor was not good....It was sticking.....There was no amenities provided.....You need to request it everytime at the Front office....Very rude front office staffs....They profile customers and behave accordingly.... The complimentary breakfast is manageable....But same menu everyday....You will get bored if staying for many days.....The lobby area is good....Nice place to relax with a cup of coffee

The hotel is very close to the center of Paris and the metro. The breakfast isn't great, but it has everything you need. The hotel is a bit noisy due to student groups, but I was in building C, so I had no trouble sleeping. The staff is very friendly, just like Santiago. I'll definitely come back with my family.

I came with a school group and stayed for just over a month, and several issues arose. First, I had about $500 USD on a meal card that did not seem to work. The first time my meal card stopped working, a cafeteria employee took it and I was able to get it back from reception the next day. The next time it stopped working, I brought it to reception myself, expecting they could replace it or reactivate it at that time. The employee took it and told me he had to wait to fix it, but it would be done by dinner time that day. When I went back, the employee was gone, and long story short, I checked twice a day for four days an no one had my card or would replace it for me. Then, when I saw the original employee I gave my card to, he gave me back my card without it having been fixed or looked at. Cafeteria employees took my card several more times during my stay, and every time they did, it took at least one full day to get it back. This resulted in me having about €70 left on the card when I left, which was money wasted. Another issue was that housekeeping on the fourth floor did not clean my room as frequently as they said they would. Towels were supposed to be changed every 3 days, and sheets every 6. Sheets were only replaced two times in our 32 day stay, and both were upon request. Towels were only changed 5 times during the stay as well. When housekeeping did come, they put some of our belongings that were not garbage into the trash bins, and they left dirty gloves on the desks and bathroom counter. While I think the FIAP is good in some ways, staying for an extended period of time and having to rely on the resources there was incredibly frustrating. If the employees at reception communicated with eachother more, the meal card issue could have been avoided. And I really don’t see why the housekeeping was so inconsistent. One highlight of my stay was the bar staff. Baptiste was a joy, as well as the others.

(We actually went Feb 2024…not Summer). |This is such a good base for a school trip to Paris…. Rooms are comfy, quiet enough, functional. Our students were happy there…. Great pizza place just around the corner, really well located to get toG and onto all the sights.

I stayed in a very nice room, I really liked the hotel and especially the breakfast options. The only bad thing is that after I went to the basement game room it felt like I had thousands of fibreglass splinters in my hands every time I tried to touch something, and it didn't go away for a while. Not sure what that was about, but other than that this is a very nice place to stay, just avoid the games room

This hotel is truly awful — I deeply regret having chosen it. The rooms are not clean, and they don’t get cleaned even when cleaning is supposedly scheduled (which, for the record, is every six days — as if rooms stay clean for a whole week). The staff is disorganized, and the internet connection is intentionally poor to make you spend money on the “better” one — and I emphasize “better” because even that one is far from good. But the worst part is the canteen: it’s dirty, ugly, and terrible. You need passes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and if you don’t have them, you go hungry. The portions are limited and, unsurprisingly, small (for example, you can have a meat dish or a pasta dish, but not both). The quality of the food is horrifying — the products are clearly thawed, terrible, expired, and spoiled. In fact, several people have suffered from gastroenteritis and vomiting issues. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST STAYING AT HOTEL FIAP.

Stayed here with my school arts department on a trip to Paris. It was fun! Place was overall very modern and sleek, the WiFi worked surprisingly enough.||The Good:|- Food was surprisingly great. Contential stuff mostly, but you can't exactly knock it. If your meals are included then you operate with a paper token system, which isn't ideal, but it works. Queues weren't long and there was some decent variety.||- All the events/commons are focused in this one huge hub area, which works a charm. We had a Jazz band on our first night, the atmosphere was perfect. Plenty of tables and space for us to play D&D. There's also an outdoors bit if you fancy that. ||- Getting on WiFi is easy and doesn't demand that you sell your soul to a newsletter or anything like that.||- Full of surprises! Local jazz band on the first night, a wonderful kind of café vibe in the evenings, and CATS. There was a particularly grumpy one that sat on the seats and did allow pats if you were lucky, I've immortalised him in my profile picture.||The Not-So-Good:|- Walls are very thin. So you can basically hear everything going on inside or outside. Not usually an issue. But considering the place's status as a youth hostel? It gets bad. Some earplugs help fine. ||- The group I roomed with were only given four out of an expected five room cards. Not usually an issue, but the hotel stresses their importance in verifying that you're actually staying at the hotel. Thankfully the staff were understanding, otherwise felt like being checked at the Berlin wall everytime I came in. ||- No air conditioning in the rooms, which was brutal in the Paris heat. On a group trip you'll usually be in the main hub, which is ventilated exceptionally. So this shouldn't be too much of a problem if you're travelling with a group.
