On the Grid : Fice

"You wont find a better place for limited edition, standout sneakers anywhere around here. Fice is it. In a way, Fice is a gallery and boutique that perfectly reflects the culture of SLC. It’s creative, off-beat, classic, and offers an exceptional product and experience unlike any other. It’s just plain bad ass." - Chase Carpenter Design

If you haven’t seen FICE, you are definitely missing out. This is a street style location in Utah and it’s top tier. You can find some shoes, street styled clothes and accessories. They keep getting creative and have become a home to Millennium Dance Complex! Thank you for letting us create a dope promo video!! Much love!

Absolutely love this place. A staple for SLC! All the staff are extremely friend and always willing to help! Best sneaker shop in the state. Retail prices so you don’t have to worry about all the reseller fees and all. 10/10 would recommend.

I cannot express enough how disgusted I am by the absolutely abysmal way the FCFS raffles are handled here. The entire experience was a complete joke from start to finish, and it’s clear that customer satisfaction was never even a thought. Let’s start with the resellers – they were camping out overnight, ensuring they would get their hands on the stock while genuine customers who were waiting for hours were completely disregarded. The lack of respect for anyone else in line was infuriating. To make things even worse, the store didn’t bother providing an adequate amount of stock or a complete size run, leaving many loyal customers, who arrived on time and followed all the rules, out of luck. People who had waited in line for hours were completely bypassed by random individuals who just jumped in front of them, making a mockery of the entire process. And the cherry on top? When the store finally opened, there wasn’t even the slightest acknowledgment of us by the owners. No greeting, no communication, nothing. We weren’t even told when purchases would start, leaving everyone scrambling and confused. To top it all off, it was painfully obvious that pairs were being backdoored and kept from the public, which is not only shady but outright dishonest. This entire experience was completely unfair, frustrating, and unprofessional. I’m beyond disappointed, and I will not be spending another dime at this establishment. You lost a loyal customer today, and frankly, you should be ashamed of the way you treated everyone involved today.

Google
Gem of a shop. The owner has the right vision. The shop does a great job of supporting the community through acessable and relatable art and fashion. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff as well.

First time in greeted by very sweet/cute employee who was engaged and helpful with my shopping experience. Walked out with a fresh pair of Nikes at a great price. Store is very welcoming with a bunch of local artwork too:)

Google
Amazing shoes, very lame exchange policy. The week prior to Valentine’s Day, My husband bought me a new pair of kicks as a gift. They were too small, 2 weeks after he gave them to me (on the 15th when I returned from a work trip,) I went to exchange them, receipt in hand. Turns out, they have a 10-day return window, receipt & perfect, new in box shoes notwithstanding. They suggested I put them on eBay or take them to a resale shop down the street. It was super lame. I can understand if I had held them for 6 months- this is a space that is obviously all about what’s new. However, that kind of terrible customer experience makes me want to support, well, anyone but FICE Gallery. 🥲 $150 flushed down the toilet.

Google
This is mine and my brothers favorite store. We love walking in and checking out what they have. The staff are always so kind, cool and patient with us. One employee, Noah, is super great. He always gives us so much help and advice. Highly recommend checking out this store. They also always have cool art on display

Yelp
Great place to visit when in town. A staple of the community. They host monthly art shows. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.

Yelp
If you want to stand out from the typical Utah mall fashion? Hit up this place. This place offers Jordans, Unif, Vans, Huf. Pretty much anything cool. Great Streetwear and the guys at the store are super nice. The store is organized is such a way that you can find what you need, it isnt like Zumiez where there is too much and and you get overwhelmed.

Yelp
Fice and the surrounding shops on 2nd give downtown the flavor it needs. Love going down to Este Pizza, shopping at Fice, and hitting Gallensons. The street art is always fun to look at as well. They carry great stuff, they have been hilighted by Jordan Brand and others in the past and their Fice line is the Best! Thanks for keeping the store alive here in SLC.

Yelp
Fice is, pound for pound one of the most impressive independent street wear purveyors in the country. The fact that they have not only built a culture in Utah, but have also remained constantly relevant is something to behold. It's beautifully curated and ever evolving as is the world of street wear itself. There's never a lack of new and exciting pieces or brands, but they're also interwoven with a lot of classics. It's a community staple and a beautiful display of creativity and entrepreneurship. Art gallery, hang out, clothing boutique all in one.

Yelp
Love this store. Friendly staff and they carry the best brands. I always find something I like when I pop in.

Yelp
The customer service at this shop is horrible. I've spent thousands of dollars over the years and will take my business some where else.

Yelp
This is a really cool eclectic boutique right next door to my favorite pizza joint in SLC. Fice has a really laid back cool atmosphere, really great art on the walls that is for purchase and good music playing. My only problem is that their clothing on hand rarely changes. They have a very small inventory so it's hard to find something because they run out of the large sized stuff quickly. Anyway, it's a shop i'll visit a lot but rarely buy because i can't find anything i like in my size! too bad but that's a boutique for ya. Check out the amazing mural on the side of the building done by some well known artists, it's very good work and ads beauty to the SLC drab downtown.

Yelp
This place always has great shows. Clothes are very reasonably priced, but I rarely can afford the art. If I had a billion bucks, I would start my shopping here b/c everything is original or old school.

Yelp
Fice has got some of the trendiest apparel, the coolest Nike's and an awesome staff. The majority of the store contains men's clothing and shoes with brands like Black Scale, Vans, 10 Deep, etc. If you're looking for a pair of Oakley's, some cool Huf socks, or an awesome new hat, you can find those there as well. They also have a small women's section which has a lot of unique items that you can't find in any stores at the mall. They don't carry a large number of the same things though, so if you really like it, you better get it before its gone.

A. B.

Yelp
Very nice customer service! A really good selection of clothing & shoes. Plus, gave me a couple of Nike gift bags. I appreciate it gentleman. Will do business again. THANKS!!!

Yelp
Some of the freshest lady kicks around. I'm loving their selection of Nikes and Vans. Corey and gang know how to dress the ladies.

Yelp
Pick up your freakin phone! It's either off the hook or it just keeps ringing and ringing. I know the workers purposely take the phone off the hook so they don't need to answer calls SMH. The owner of this store needs to hire people that come to "WORK" and not just sit around like a pathetic hipster with no social skills. YOU ARE LOSING MONEY and clientele! Step your customer service game up or you won't be around for too much longer , take it from a business owner

Yelp
Best shop in SLC for street wear and sneakers. Excellent selection, awesome staff. An absolute staple in SLC.

Yelp
Fice has very poor customer service. Everyone in here acts like your presence is an annoyance. Very unhelpful and rude. Not a great environment to buy in or ask questions in. Take your business elsewhere. Very limited brand selection to top it off. Wish there was a shop in salt lake with knowledgeable, friendly staff and good selection.
google avatar

Blaine G.

Yelp
They have a good selection of urban type shoes for your typical hipster.
google avatar

Ryon N.

Yelp
The only spot worth visiting in SLC for streetwear and sneakers! They also host an art gallery for local artists regularly. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I have been coming here for years and have always been satisfied with the selection and service. They offer both men's and women's apparel and shoes ranging from everyday runners to high-end sneakers and exclusive releases. There's no need to look anywhere else, FICE has you covered.

Yelp
Fice is the optimal shopping scene for those who dig the urban feel but don't wish to mix with the "scene" kids crowding the mall, clawing at a Volcom Tee, in their sisters jeans. Fice does carry the more easily recognized 'The Hundreds' brand and along with it, less known, higher quality urban goods. 10 Deep, Alife, Akomplice, WESC, RockSmith, Benny Gold, I.M King, RetroSuperFuture shades; and so much more. the art changes constantly and when you're in the dressing room, no one comes out of the wood work, hurling jeans over and sliding shoes under begging you to up their sales. Shop here-don't let the mall rats shop for you.

Yelp
I was doin' some shopping with my girlfriend over the weekend & Fice, has got some of the illest lineups. Like Black-Scale, Nike shoes, certain HUF pieces & 10 Deep. Unfortunately one of the sales assiociate wasn't very customer service friendly & had no common courtesy. As a small business shouldn't you provide excellent customer service? Isn't that what keeps your business growing & keeping your customers coming back & telling people about your business? You should try & provide friendly vibes not negative vibes & build public relations with new customers. Nobody likes a know-it-all.

Yelp
This is a cool store. The fellas here are super cool and knowledgeable about the sneaker game. I would certainly consider this place a rare gem in SLC.

Yelp
Strongly recommend you do NOT purchase anything online from this company! I placed an order for a tshirt and paid for priority shipping. Ten days later I contacted the store to determine why I hadn't received. The employee stated she would have someone call me back. The next day the person who runs the store (that's how she identified herself) called to say she apologized about the delay but she'd been carrying around my package in her car and forgot to mail. She noted she would send out for overnight delivery and up would get a refund check in the mail for shipping costs and a gift for the inconvenience. She also stayed she we gould update me via email with tracking information for my package. Fast forward one week...still have not received the order. I call the store and get an answering machine during business hours I left a message but got no return call. The following day I called back and reached the girl who "runs the store" on the phone. She looked up the order and stated that the order shipped and was delivered rhee days prior. Delivered to who? I don't know.I explained up had not received and she basically told mgr it was not their problem because their records indicate it was delivered. She offered to send me a copy of the tracking info which she'd never sent to begin with so I could research with the postal service. I asked her to speak with the owner and she said he was gone until the next day but I could call back then. She would not ask him to call me but leave a note that I would be calling him. I spent the entire afternoon ring to locate the package and was able to track down. It was not delivered to me but someone else and the merchandise was crammed into box the size of a VHS tape. All wrinkled and filthy from being crammed into a dirty box. No paper or plastic around it . The free gift? A small book from one of their vendors with clothing advertised in it. Needless to say, Fices service us awful and I strongly warn against purchasing anything from them. I know I won't. I have been sure to warn all of my SLC friends to susu clear of this business.

Yelp
I went into the store to make a purchase today and the manager had the Music blasting all I could hear was the word nigger and motherfucker over and over again. I asked him about some prices and he made fun of the way I speak. I decided to leave and come back to buy from a different employee who has always been respectful. I went back in the store and let the manager know he was very disrespectful by making fun of how I speak and he claimed he couldn't hear me which could be true since the music was blasting in the store. When I told him I spend a lot of money in his store he and asked him not to be disrespectful he said"a lot of people spend money in my store you don't disrespect me" I asked him how I disrespected him he could not answer that because up till then I had not. He then came from around the counter with his hands spread out and said he knew my name as if to provoke me to fight. I told him I did not like his attitude and I did make a threat which was wrong on my part. This is not the first time I had a problem with this guy. He is clearly racist but will probably say something dumb like "I have black friends" I'm no longer allowed at this store which is fine. There is one Asian guy that works here that is absolutely professional. However the rest of these guys are wanna be hip hop suburban rich kids. Trying to act like they understand Hip Hop culture because they sell Air Jordan's and listen to the music.

Yelp
Fice is an absolute diamond in the heart of downtown SLC. Stocking some of the absolute best labels in street wear and fashionable clothing at the moment, you never walk out empty handed. Prices are adequate and expected for an excellent selection of brands like 10 Deep, Huf, Blackscale, Nike, Vans, etc... Possibly not a favorite of the 40+ crowd, this store is stocking things which would otherwise be very difficult to find locally. Fice is also a gallery, and the artwork they display is always interesting, usually local, and of a high quality. The staff can be a bit salty but will warm up to you in time, it's all part of the "appeal". Hit up this unique, fresh boutique if you're looking for the season's most interesting items. I often shop out of town in places like LA, NYC, and Las Vegas, but Fice has had my business for years, and will continue to for years to come. NYC boutique style shopping for an SLC crowd.

Elvera G.

Yelp
I work next door to this store and i think it is very unique and has allot of style if you havent checked it out you should.

Yelp
I was in the SLC area and have been dying to find a top notch sneaker/apparel/lifestyle store. The 9th and 9th area is dead and has nothing to offer but I actually found Fice through Yelp and decided to give it a try after dinner. The area seems to be rejuvenated and on the rise. Upon walking up to the store I knew this would be a good store. Fice mainly carries Nike while the rest is Vans and other classic brands. The selection is excellent, however, and there are some rare finds that are sold out everywhere else. The staff was chill and helped me out since I couldn't move very well (I was on crutches and just had knee surgery on Tuesday) as I shopped. There is a pretty extensive selection of clothing, from heavier jackets to lightweight tops and dope pants/sweat shorts. As I was about to checkout I noticed the brand new flyknit Air Max 90's on the counter. I tried them out and couldn't believe my luck as I checked out since those kicks are sold out everywhere else. Overall this is the place to shop if you're a sneakerhead or just someone looking to get some nice shoes that aren't like the rest of the crowd.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. My 13yr old bought a pair of shoes there yesterday. Wanted to exchange them and pay more money today. Because they were Jordan's they said there was an "unwritten rule" that they couldn't be returned Or exchanged!!! The sign said there was a 10 day return policy...Unreal... I will never do business there again....
