🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 A truly magical and unforgettable experience! This event was absolutely spectacular from start to finish. We were picked up directly from our accommodation and taken to the perfect spot to watch the sunset. As Uluru slowly changed colours in the fading light, we enjoyed a beautiful selection of delicate canapés and sipped bubbles — an experience that felt both intimate and grand at the same time. As night fell, we walked into the Field of Light, and it was simply breathtaking. Thousands of softly glowing “eternal flowers” stretched out before us, shifting and shimmering in an ever-changing landscape of light. The atmosphere was serene and otherworldly — something you truly have to see to believe. It’s beautifully organised, thoughtfully executed, and leaves you with a sense of wonder that lingers long after. An absolute must-do when visiting the Red Centre. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Field of Lights Star Pass. Chose this over the standard admission and the dinner. Well worth the $135. Canapes (5 of these, very filling, though would've loved a sweet treat at the end). Bubbles, wine, beer, soft drinks and Yaru still and mineral water free flowing. View above the FOL overlooking it as the sun when down. Awesome. Best vantage point. Then walked down and did the longer walk through the field, quite incredible how huge it is. There I was thinking how long did it take and how many. 6 weeks and 50,000 lights. Incredible.

We recently took part in the Field of Light Sunrise tour which was fantastic. Our tour guide & bus driver were both awesome. Super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The light installation was so lovely, such a magical experience to walk around then back up onto the dune viewing area for a cuppa and incredible view of sunrise over Uluru. Highly recommend!

We did the FOL dinner experience. The staff were lovely, attentive and good service. Started with drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) and canapés, just after sunset (not dark yet), we've been guided to the dinner tables. didgeridoo performance, followed by night sky story, self guided walk along the trail in FOL and back on the bus. Great evening

🌌 Mesmerising Field of Light Dinner Experience in Uluṟu This immersive evening in Uluṟu is nothing short of magical. Starting with drinks and canapés against the backdrop of a glowing desert sunset, the experience seamlessly transitions into a beautifully prepared dinner under the stars. A captivating talk on astronomy adds depth to the night, connecting guests with the vastness above. The grand finale—a walk through the illuminated Field of Light installation—is simply breathtaking, as the landscape transforms into an ethereal wonder. Easily one of the most unforgettable experiences in the region. Strongly recommended for those seeking beauty, culture, and awe all in one evening.

I had wanted to see this exhibition for many years, and it did not disappoint! Quite a spiritual experience, the 10s of thousands of colourful lights with a backdrop of a spectacular sunrise, with Uluru popping its magnificent head out through the sunrise!

There are set paths now to walk through, so somewhat less immersive, but good to get some nice shots. Recommended not doing the latter visit so you get more of the scenery & Uluru as well.

Yelp
It was lots of lights in a field that changed colours gradually over 10sec or so. There was a bit of walking in the dark with minimum of lighting so we bought a headlamp as one of our group is disabled with affected vision and walking. It brought about the ire of a young couple asked the light be switched off as it was upsetting their appreciation of the field. The place is big enough for one person's headlamp to be ignored. They also have people placed along the path to make sure people don't get lost. A headlamp or torch is needed as the path is not paved but dirt with small bushes. It was less than an hour in the field. "Self guided" meant no commentary, turning right gave the short path and the odd left turn gave a longer walk.

Yelp
I'm going to start with a hint: the closer you can visit to a new moon, the brighter the exhibit will be. Unfortunately for us, we visited on a FULL moon which had a dimming effect on the light display. But it was still a nice walk listening to the night sounds. If you have the option of getting to this exhibit early to view the sunset, have drinks and canapés, I would give that a pass. The canapés were not tasty, and the sunset can be viewed for free on a raised area in the middle of the hotel/shopping area.

Yelp
The dinner under the stars experience was HORRIBLE. It was not made clear to me that the evening is NOT a mobility impaired or handicapped friendly experience. Walking UPHILL to an area where there was NO seating, NO bathrooms, and not enough appetizers to go around was a bad start to the evening. Then we had to walk DOWNHILL to the dining site where the only bathroom was UPHILL. The people responsible for putting in this dinner should provide golf carts to shuttle people form the bus drop off area to the dining site and back after dinner. It is UNACCEPTABLE to expect everyone to walk what seemed like at least half a mile to the dining site and back. And there were no napkins handed out when the appetizers were handed out. What the heck?!?! A very substandard, amateur presentation for what so advertised as an outstanding evening. It was an experience to be endured, not enjoyed.

Yelp
Did the star pass with drinks and canapés. The canapés were pulled kangaroo sliders, a sweet potato and feta and a blue cheese puff. The lights were amazing.

Yelp
Field of Light is a beautiful light exhibition in Uluru by artist Bruce Munro. I do not regret seeing this exhibit. Not only is it a stunning visual display of 50,000 light bulbs among millions of stars (I've never seen so many stars in the sky in my entire life), there simply are not many things to do in Uluru at night. Field of Light is one of the few activities offered after sundown, so I say take advantage of it if you are staying in Uluru overnight. One disadvantage is that Uluru in general has become an expensive tourist trap, and Field of Light is no exception. I paid for the most basic entrance pass which included pick-up from Ayers Rock Resort for $40 AUD. There are other packages that include camel rides and dinner that run into the hundreds of dollars. I didn't think the price would be worth it, and going by some of the other reviews on Yelp, I am glad I did not pay hundreds of dollars more for canapé and a glass of bubbly. My group was given around 45 minutes to walk around the exhibit before returning to the bus and heading back to the resort. Unfortunately with it being so dark, I was unable to take any portrait photography, only photos of the light bulbs. I wish that there had been more to this tour other than letting us loose in a field of light bulbs, but I suppose that is only reserved for the more expensive tours. To check availability and reserve a spot on the tour of your choice, visit the Ayers Rock Resort website. Field of Light has been extended until December 31, 2020, so there are still a few years left to see this exhibit.

Yelp
Visually this was really interesting and delightful. It was an expensive experience, but I would not say value for money The star talk was amazing. Could Have listened to this for longer. The food was average. I understand that there are limitations on food due to the facilities that are available. The meat was tough and if you were the last table to approach the buffet there was not a lot available. The consolation of them being the first for dessert did not make up for having leftovers for the main. The whole thing was to long. It was cold and the heaters were being valiant in doing their job but could not meet the need. It should have been shorter. Move through the meal service quicker, have the star taker start earlier.

Yelp
Field of light is excellent! From the sparkling wine at sunset at the lookout to the dinner under the stars, everything is extremely well done. There was a digeridoo player at the sunset drinks and he was fantastic - he is a from the area and really showed how the instrument was played. After sunset we walked down to the dining area that had a view of Uluru if you sat on one side of each table. Move quickly to pick the best seats! The dinner was a buffet and there were some very good dishes. Having prawns/shrimp in the desert when you are very far from the ocean was a little questionable - I thought they tasted a bit funny but I didn't get sick. The dishes were all good but the chicken with lemon myrtle stood out. Delicious! Of course the desserts were all good and the fact that they used some 'bush tucker' ingredients was interesting. The wine was just ok that that's what took this review down from 5 to 4 stars. I did like the port at the end but the red and white wines were just drinkable unfortunately, I understand that there is one wine supplier but it was a bit disappointing. After dinner there was a brief talk about the stars. One of the hosts had a laser pointer and pointed out some planets and stars - we could see Venus. I had been to a competing dinner years ago and their astronomer was much better. But that is not why you come here, you come to see the lights! The final part of the night is walking through the field of lights - it was incredible. All the lights change colour. They are powered by solar panels from the day and there are about 50,000 lights. You get to walk through them all, but don't go off the trail for photos or someone is likely to yell at you! (guilty). That was definitely the highlight - what an amazing night!

Yelp
This is a beautiful art exhibit that spans acres and acres. It includes walking trails set up to enjoy different viewpoints. Definitely unique and worth going to!

Yelp
Field of light meet the stars! We did the basic walk and felt that was good enough. Unique experience well organised, and well worth the trip! The field of light meets the stars and is spectacular. To walk around in the dark and quiet and watch the lights change colour was brilliant. There were a lot of small children on our tour so I would recommend a later tour for the quietness. We thought the experience was expensive but when we arrived felt it was worth it! Well worth a visit.
