Fielders Choice Ice Cream

What a great stop for ice cream. The drive thru is so convenient and it was nice having the fenced in area in back with the picnic tables. The choices were so hard to choose from and the prices we paid for the huge scoops is so worth the stop.

Great ice cream, great fast service, and BIG portions. I ordered a small vanilla and thought they made a mistake. Had to skip dinner after that cone. The owner was great, too.

Great place to have ice scream if you are in the area! They have both counter service and drive-thru. Prices are fair, portions are generous so plan accordingly. A small was more than enough for me. They don’t take card, only cash, which is why I docked them a star. They have an ATM on site with a service fee of $2. Outside seating was very pleasant and is fenced in making it easier to manage kids.

Favorite Ice Cream place in Maine. Always happy and full after I leave here. Perfect for any time of year but in the summer, this ice cream especially hits like no other

I always take family out for ice cream or get it to take home when I come to ME for a visit & this is my go to spot! Really can't beat it in the Brunswick area!! Always a favorite by everyone. I love Fielder's coffee order & peanut butter cup flavors. Our family dog loves the pup cups! Love the drive-thru option, the convenience keeps me coming back. The staff is always super kind & accommodating. Plenty of parking if you choose to walk up to their window. Cash only might be the only negative, which sometimes catches me off guard because I'm not there often enough to remember...they do have an ATM at the front windows though.

Delicious hard and soft serve ice cream. Very kind staff. They have a good-sized menu and it was hard to decide what to get because everything sounded amazing! We ultimately got a sundae and a closer (with hot fudge, brownies, and whipped cream). The portions were so large that we actually had to stick the leftover ice cream in the fridge! Well worth the price, although next time I think I’ll try a kid’s size, haha. Heads up: they are cash only, but there is an ATM on site.

Love fielder's choice. It has become our "go to" spot for ice cream. The portions are huge and everything is delicious. You will not disappointed in any choice. They are cash only but provide an ATM on site. Lots of open space with picnic tables to sit behind the building and you can either use the drive through or walk up to the window. The girls are so friendly.

Awesome ice cream place! We sampled the ginger snap (yum!) vanilla soft serve and the Oreo. I would warn they out chocolate syrup in the bottom of all cones (yuck for ginger snap)! I ended up tossing the cone which is an ungraded because of this. Also, please make smaller servings. This is just too much and we had it EVERYWHERE. Perhaps a "bunt" size or even kiddie is needed

No trip to Maine in the spring and summer is complete without a stop at Fielder's Choice. There are multiple locations. The sizes are very generous and a great value for the price. It is cash only. My baby-size cone was $3.59. They have a drive through but I find delight in staring at the menu board and going up to the window to order. The employee who served me was very pleasant. I was served quickly. There is plenty of parking. There are picnic tables and a large grassy area so you can enjoy your treat and the kids can run around. I recommend Fielder's Choice.

Good Ice Cream...if you can get it. Tourists beware you'll need to find cash. It's 2024 and who honestly is still cash only. It wouldn't be that big of a deal, if they POS ATM they advertise actually worked. Normally this would be a five-star review, about the quality of their ice cream, but I have to give them a solid two stars for the absolute pain the butt their policy is. I've been here before and it's really good, but I haven't been there in a year or so. Totally forgot they are a cash-only business. Got to their parking lot and remembered cash only. I don't have a local bank, so I had to use their advertised atm. Normally that's not a problem. This location has one of the cheap ones you see at sketchy gas stations in bad neighborhoods. It doesn't function like a normal ATM. The menu is confusing and it prompts you to check you balances before you can withdraw. Then the atm tells you it suspects fraud and cancels the transaction. Throw multiple times. Still not convinced I haven't been scammed by a bogus atm. Either way, don't show up without wads of cash or it will be a completely wasted trip and not worth the hassle. We ended up going back into Bath, using a card, and spending twice as much for much better dessert options. Tourists beware.

I was SUPER excited trying Fielder's Choice. I ordered a black cherry milkshake and was drooling! I love the well guided drive-thru and tons of space to park and enjoy your treat. Lots to choose from with an extensive menu. Service was super friendly as well! My 3 stars is due to the fact I got food poisoning. These things happen and willing to get is another round.

I have loved Fielder's Choice Ice Cream since the first visit a decade (?) ago. It's always a treat ... literally! The Brunswick location is a half hour from home, and it's mostly a drive through ... but idk if it is all year long or not (I don't think so!) The young gals at the window were great! I asked if they did anything special for "birthdays" and was told no. That's too bad! Even if it's just a down charge in price or an upsize for the lower cost. Of course folks would need to show their drivers license and it would need to be within a couple days of their birthday. I'm also thinking a loyalty card would be nice. Maybe set up a birthday/reward program. It's all outdoors, and sit in your car. Later there will be picnic tables, I believe!

We always love our ice cream here. And, it's open all year round. Personal favorites include the maple ice cream, butter crunch, and coffee. The butterscotch topping is killer. Good service. We always take it to go.

Our local ice cream and shake spot provides yummy treats for a hot summer day. The staff is friendly, but occasionally bog down balancing the walk up patrons with the drive-thru. Great variety of flavors

Best ice cream ever!!!!! The sizes are huge which I don't have a problem with, just more for later. The coffee hard serve is the best ever and have a chewy texture....yummy! They employee teenager's, and I don't know what they do, but these are the best teenage works I have seen. Pleasant, polite and always smiling. Maybe they get free ice cream. Now I need to go get another ice cream after writing this review.

This place was right next door to where my husband was getting a root canal. How perfect is THAT? I ordered the "minor" sized Frappe, with sugar-free coffee hard ice cream. It was delicious! MUCH better than hubby's dental work!

Ok. First off, don't be shocked at the prices. The serving sizes are WORTH EVERY PENNY. Second, if you're just an average person, get the baby size. Seriously. It's made for a Sumo baby. It's plenty. You won't be disappointed. Every flavor is divine. The peanut butter soft serve gets rave reviews in my social circle. I tend to try something new every time. The sundaes are incredible. If you like peanut butter, the the Dugout Floor. They make all their cake pieces, brownie bites and cookies on premise. Their seasonal flavors are the things to look for, they have fun fall yummies: apple pie, pumpkin, Indian pudding.

When you pull in to the parking lot, you'd think by looking at the size of the building that it has an indoor option. However, it does not. It is strictly a drive thru / walk up window place. The ice cream choices and options are great and the ice cream itself is very good. We got ice cream for 5 people for under $20 which kind of blew my mind honestly. The have some picnic tables located all the way on the other side of the parking lot. The only reason I'm giving this an "average" is due to the fact that they provide no bathroom facilities or options at all. Given the size of the property and the size of their building, even an out house would be helpful. Staff was typical ice cream shop folks. It was somewhat slow but it appeared there were only two people working. Would recommend if you're in the area.

The portions are big and delicious! It's a drive thru with plenty of parking in their lot so that you aren't trying to chase the ice cream drips while driving down the road. Picnic tables are available as well. Extensive offerings for "all things ice cream"!

Generous portions and a wide variety of flavors. We tried the ginger snap, pumpkin and butter pecan ice cream and all were excellent.

Was on vacation with family when the ice cream crave hit. It wasn't particularly hot out but we just had to have a creamy sweet, cold cone. Using my trusty Yelp app I found a place near us in Bath. Unfortunately they had closed for the season. Venturing a bit farther away we discovered fielders choice. They had a superb selection of different Sunday offerings that had baseball generated names. Soft serve along with a good selection of hard ice cream. To cure my ice cream addiction I chose to opt for a medium Maine blueberry. First of all it was enormous. Very generous portion. And not because it sucked!! It was rich and creamy with loads of wild Maine blueberries and fantastic blueberry flavor. My sister got the coffee Oreo which was equally impressive with great flavor and loads of Oreos incorporated into it. This had become not only a cure for the craving but lunch as we were so satisfied we couldn't eat anything else. Give it a try

I live for ice cream. FC had a huge and fabulous set of flavors. Plus 6 different soft serve flavors, including coffee (VERY rare, and delicious!). The serving sizes are bigger than I have ever seen. And very tasty! We were only visiting Brunswick for 5 days, and we went twice. 5+ stars!

We have always enjoyed Fielders Choice and we were happy when one opened in Brunswick. However this year, the amount of hot fudge on the Sundaes is so minimal, we have had to request extra hot fudge, and that makes it sufficient. Yesterday we went and we ordered the usual Sundae with extra hot fudge and there was the tiniest amount of whip cream on top. It was barely visible. Very disappointed in what has been a favorite place to take grand kids up until now.

Spring has sprung and summer can't be too far behind because today was Opening Day for Fielder's Choice in Brunswick. Had to go! Got my favorite flavor, and it is as yummy as ever. Also eyed several new options which will require another trip or three to try out.

This place has amazing ice cream but only except cash and are vary slow to make ice cream there sizes make no sense and some are to big and small me are to small this place is not we'll kept and is vary loud

Price can't be beat, and servings are very generous. 2 "baby" and 1 "small" (really more like 2 small and 1 medium) cost us about $10. Lose a star because they're cash only (especially in times of covid-19, they really should take cards...) Lots of good sounding sundaes on the board; will probably try one next time.

There weren't enough days I was in town to visit this gem. The baby cone offers all you ever need and their flavors are delightful. Can't wait to get back to visit them again.

The ice cream at Fielder's Choice is totally worth the drive. They have all t he standard flavors and the taste of homemade ice cream can't be beat. Now open for the season with a drive through window and a couple of walk up order stations as well that encourage social distancing. The former indoor tables have been moved outside for an open patio so you can still enjoy your treat outside your vehicle. As an aside to the owner or manager...you might want to schedule less staff on the weekends. With the drive through loaded with cars and 2 walk up windows, we ordered and stepped aside to wait for our ice cream. There were a group of 5-6 young ladies standing there laughing and chatting by the coolers doing nothing but taking up space. With this pandemic, if you have time to lean- you have time to clean. That has always been the motto in retail. Find something to do instead of standing around. Made me think twice about the management letting it happen. Even with young staff, learn a work ethic now and it will benefit you later.

This is a place to avoid. They have no idea how to make customers happy. They even charge for a dish if you want it ina edition to a cone.

This is the best ice cream in Maine! Wish they had a location in Portland but we're willing to drive to OOB or Brunswick to enjoy! Cash only.

Excellent ice cream with unusual flavors. Wish the portions were smaller. The small is the size of a medium elsewhere. Try the Indian pudding ice cream, if you love Indian pudding or molasses, this is the ice cream for you. (It does have a little different consistency, but I liked that.) They also have more flavors of soft ice cream and of sugar free ice cream than most places.

Man oh man. My husband and I were in town for two nights and after grabbing some ice cream through the drive through (what? yes, drive through, amazing!) we decided that we had to hit them on night two as well! The sizes were ridiculous, I couldn't finish either ice cream from each night. The Dugout is outstanding, and the ice cream quality is great. Also we got lucky with the service, there was a single girl the first night and I think a trainee and the same girl the next night. They were charming and sweet and patient with my terrible memory. I wish these guys would come to NH so I could be a regular!

Fun baseball-themed homemade ice cream shop. Very thick and creamy ice cream with a great variety of choices from Gingersnap to Coffee Oreo and Butterfinger. The servings are incredibly generous - the baby is the size of a medium at most ice cream shops (although you can only get one flavor in a baby). Highly recommend the sundaes, especially the Closer, their version of a brownie sundae complete with a giant homemade brownie and hot fudge.

Their portions are huge, the prices reasonable, and they have a good selection of flavors. They offer both window service and drive through, but still seem to be working out some kinks on managing the two. It helped that the staff were really friendly. My kids both got small cotton candy flavor that were more the size of a pint! I had the grape nut, which was delicious, and my husband had the cookie dough. There are a few picnic table next to the parking lot, the perfect spot to enjoy our treats.

My husband would give them 5 stars but I think 4 because their chocolate based ice crams are all milk chocolate based and too sweet for my taste. Again, a minor complaint and their vanilla based ice creams are very good. If only they would add a dark chocolate mint ice cream...,

Love this place! The ice cream is so yummy and the portions are huge. Seriously, get a minor (this is a small at Fielder's). I would say a minor at Fielders is equal to a large at Dairy Queen. I got the peanut butter soft serve (SO GOOD) with cookie dough mixed in and it was what dreams are made of. I had no idea they even opened Fielder's in Brunswick but I'm so happy they did.

We like fielders choice for a quick trip through a drive-through ice cream stop the chocolate ice cream is on the milk side of chocolate and I am a dark chocolate lover but otherwise this place is great

My dad is in the hospital and I went out for a quick treat. Was excited to discover the drive thru which is great when you want ice cream but it's chilly out! I waited and got to the window and discovered it was cash only. Sadly ready to drive off without my treat, the very nice cashier said not to worry, i had waited long enough, it was on them. So not only is the customer service phenomenal, the giant wind up ice cream with PB cups was exactly what the doctor ordered! I'll be back with all my friends and family and it will be the first stop when my dad gets out of the hospital!

Best ice cream around! Glad they're finally open in Brunswick! Huge servings of delicious soft and hard served icd cream! And really any combination you can imagine!
