"Perched on one of the most iconic corners in Mérida — Paseo de Montejo and Colon — Fiesta Americana Mérida is a classic hotel in a historic building. "It's a classic favorite because of its five-star amenities and prominent location on Paseo de Montejo, Mérida's Champs-Élysées," said Gritzewsky." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Super nice hotel. Very vintage and charming vibe. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Good parking. The lounge on the 5th is excellent, desserts are amazing. Rooms are premium and comfortable.

Loved the hotel! Everything was extremely clean and the service was friendly. The food in the buffet was AMAZING. We also loved the location and the fact that the hotel had car rental places downstairs.

1. No one was providing service at the hotel entrance; 2. The equipment outside the room was very noisy, which should be the sound of the air conditioner (we were on the 5th floor, room number was 581); 3. The room was old and the mirror was very dusty; 4. In addition, the breakfast included on the 5th floor was also very bad. The service staff was very poor, some people cut in line, there was no order at all, and there were not enough tables on the 5th floor.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful, but others are rude, patronising, dismissive and gaslighting. Was frequently told to wait around in my room for problems for a long period of time with issues (such as air conditioning) not being resolved. Organisation is shambolic. Was at one point told not to leave the pool area for around 30-40 minutes so they could find a working card machine for me to pay for a single can of coke. The hotel not market themselves as a Spanish / English hotel, but in my opinion they shouldn't if the majority of staff don't speak English. This extended to staff not understanding "Do Not Disturb" signs on doors - I was once woken up by room service staff who would not stop knocking on the door (they knocked and rang the bell three times) to offer me an additional coffee cup, when I was trying to sleep. Room service experience was terrible - wrong information given on how to access it, wrong food sent up, half-eaten food sent up and returned. Not what you'd expect from a hotel that markets itself as five-star. The food is also of poor quality considering you're in Yucatan which has some of the best food in the world. Save your money - go for a smaller, boutique hotel in the center of Merida - we stayed at one of those before arriving here and it was excellent.

A nice hotel in the heart of Merida. We are attending the annual meeting of the North American Youth Exchange Network (NAYEN).

Amazing location! Amazing service and the rooms are very spacious. We went as a family of 3. Walking distance to main places or you can take a cab/uber. Enjoyed our stay throughly.

Don't be fooled. They have a coffee machine in the room but don't supply coffee pods. Didn't try the TV so can't guarantee it worked. Elevators are good though.

Great location and service overall. Hotel staff beyond friendly. 20 minute walk to downtown Mérida, 2 minute walk to Paseo de Montejo and Calle 60, near bus station, and close to multiple restaurants.
