Fifty Seven Waterberg

5/5 Stunning place, beautiful setting/area, delicious food, exceptional and friendly staff. The Boma dinner was a treat with Mpho’s Tomahawk steak cooked to perfection. Reuben was barman but also doing everything else to make us comfortable. Joseph hosted us with a smile. Kenny, The cappuccinos with beautiful picture art made the morning coffees with a view special! Welgevonden does not disappoint on any game drive. Elephant drinking from the pool..and the special elephant sighting with William was a highlight! I cannot mention everyone’s names, but you are all wonderful. We will be back.

We have just spent 5 nights at Waterberg and it was amazing. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and had wildlife ie elephants, impala, zebra, baboons, monkeys stopping by our villa most days and drinking from the pool. The villa itself was beautiful and modern and had a great shower. William our guide was fantastic. His knowlege on animals, birds and plants was very good. He was also a very happy person. The food was very good but for us the servings were far too big. It would also be nice to have a selection for lunch and maybe something light like a salad or wrap. The only negative, which is out of the lodge's control, is the road to the West Gate. Very rough and bumpy - make sure you have a comfortable 4x4.

What a special lodge! The rooms were spacious, airy and modern and the private pools and jacuzzi's add to the luxurious feel of the lodge. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful and the food was five star. Our ranger, William, was also one of the best rangers that we have ever had. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone who is looking for a luxurious and relaxing trip to beautiful Welgevonden.

We had the most amazing few days at 57 Waterberg! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the accommodation was beautiful and kept very clean. The Game drives were fun and very informative. 10/10 experience. Would highly recommend.

Awesome place. Ephraim is very good at what he does, Will book again just to see him. Game drives were great. 5⭐️, no spoilers from me though. The rooms were great. The luxury rooms were better. Awesome turndown service and awesome housekeeping., I didn't even see them. Waiting and Reception staff were Awesome, friendly and professional. Chef Alan, thank you for the food. It was delicious. Don't go there thinking you have much choice for what you will be eating, but dang, most of it is tasty. I didn't ask about room service, but I also didn't see anything about it in the information book in the room. The room is well stocked with booze, soft drinks and drinking water. No snacks though. I dont want to say much about the rooms, I dont want to spoil it for you. Loved the water hole and how close the low profile fencing was to the camp. Great way to watch game close up in the comfort of your own private patio. We felt very safe there. The place is well off the beaten track and with space for only 20 adults, very quiet. Ill see you guys again soon.

A true Gem in the heart of the Welgevonden Game Reserve!||The Luxury Suite is exquisite, beautiful and modern. Great decor with a small pool to relax and unwind. ||Lovely outdoor and indoor dining, bar and lounge areas with a great infinity pool and boma area overlooking the watering hole. ||The game drive was very enjoyable and excellent cuisine. |Service in particular from Reuben and Kenny was fantastic. ||Overall, A Gem Of A Lodge!

We can highly recommend 57 WB to anyone who want to experience the African bush and animals at its best. The game viewing is the best according to us, the dining experience exceeds the 5 star rating and that staff are truly South African, hospitality at its best. We will definitely return.

An excellent overall bush experience. Outstanding staff and service and a very knowledgeable and friendly game ranger.. The food was five-star throughout and the overall ambience is warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.
