Figaro Restaurant

One of the best dinner restaurants in Jyväskylä If not the best. The season menu had an excellent build. Mostly relatively heavy and dark palette but focaccia lightened the experience. Professional and fast service. The place was almost full on Friday and hence a bit noisy. If you are looking for a better dinner in Jyväskylä, Figaro is a great choice.

This place offers what probably is one of the best restaurant experiences in Jyvaskyla. Admittedly, Jyvaskyla is not known for its foody scene, but this restaurant will stand out regardless of its location. While pricey, the food certainly is worth the money. In my experience, the staff was very professional, courteous, and friendly. The service was prompt.

Amazing flavor and outstanding service. Very nice discovery in Jyväskylä. The snails were delicious, and the meat was perfectly cooked and soft (you can cut it like butter). The staff was nice and friendly, specially the Spanish man. We followed his recommendations for food and drinks (local beer and red wines) and they were very good. Looking forward to come back

A fantastic restaurant with pleasant staff. The fixed menu was adapted for my vegetarian needs, and there was a three course meal. Choice of wine was 2016 or 2014 reisling wine. Why they have the two years, I don't know. It wasn't very well explained and there was no description of how the wine would go with the food. This aspect could be improved considering they have a wine bar connected to the restaurant. Instead I went for a cocktail with smoked gin. Interesting combination, and smokiness was pronounced for quite an aftertaste. Stater was a artichoke soup. Nice creamy taste and served in a nice bowl with some pastry to accompany it. Meat eaters had a delicate mini sausage (or so I'm told) roll to eat with the soup. Portion size was as expected for fine dining. Main course was, artichoke again, with a sliced salad fried with a vinegar dressing with some mushrooms and creamy potatoes. The blend of flavours were good, and mixed, although combined taste was never present twice from the food. Dessert was a white chocolate pudding with ice cream, with cranberries and crumbled cardamom cookies. This was soft and sweet to go with the green tea. The music was lively and the place was well light. For a Monday night, there was a good atmosphere and waiting was of good quality. They communicated well in Finnish and English. There is only a single toilet for the men, in a restaurant with seats for around 50 ppl, and that is at the back of the restaurant that looks a bit messy. Room for improvement for the entire experience, but generally satisfactory.

We had a dinner menu “season menu”. Ceviche was excellent but another starter was a bit dissatisfying even though it tried to be different take on traditional Greek salad. Pike main was good with really tasty caramelized carrots. Brita cake was perfect. Staff was polite and friendly. I would have liked to heard something about the dishes we were eating.

I wouldn't mind paying extra for a perfectly cooked steak. They also have a fine selection of wine to compliment your dish. The place can be full on weekends, hence a reservation is highly recommended.

Goes straight to top 3 restaurants in Jyväskylä. Excellent food and the wine pairings are spot on. Nice relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. Perfect place for a intimate dinner for 2 or a larger group for a nice relaxed dinner.

Really good restaurant. Fine food, good wine's. Great service. And the dessert was fantastic (see picture). This is an apple cake with homemade ice cream.
