We stayed at Fiji Resort & Spa from 13-18 December 2025 and we enjoyed our stay very much. It was a little rundown down but we still enjoyed the comfortability of the resort. The food was a little average, but good enough to eat. The Japanese menu was my favourite. We had the 2 bedroom villa which was perfect for our family of 5. Bathroom was a little small, but managed well. The staff from the neighbouring village of Tagaqe were absolutely beautiful!!! They were so accomodating and made us all feel like we were home. It’s about an hour and half from Nadi airport but worth the drive and stay. Not many shops around, so would recommend getting a car if you want to get out and explore. Reception helped us with a cheap rental, so super handy.

Hideaway is relaxed and friendly. Our room (2 bedroom bungalow with sea view) was dated but comfortable and spacious. With a lovely view and garden. The staff were lovely. Lots of activities available if you wanted no pressure if you didn’t. The snorkeling was right there and gorgeous.|We did the village tour and glass bottom boat trip, both were great. And did our own local fishing/waterfall and sand dunes day trips.

I feel sorry that I have to give a one-star review but I'm compelled to do that because I had to end my stay here prematurely and move to a different hotel due to water quality and supply problems that affected the pool and the water supply to the room. The water to the room /bure was dirty brownish) and the water in the pool was dirty (murky green) from day one. I didn't want to make a fuss about it presuming it'll get sorted out quickly so I opted to use the pool of another resort which was a 15 minutes away, paying out of pocket for day passes and taxis. I also started using bottled water (again, paying out of pocket) in the room and avoided using tap water for brushing and washing. The resort started cleaning up the pool, after a few of us complained, applying cleaning agents on the night of 3rd Jan and they ran filters on the 4th. They did further cleaning of the pool on the 5th and the photo I've attached shows what it looked like on that day and you'd see the person cleaning the pool. The resort acknowledged the problem with the water to the room on 4th Jan however it was never resolved during my stay. The resort cut off the water supply to my room at noon on 5th - that meant we couldn't flush the toilets from that point onwards. The supply wasn't restored by the time of me checking out on the 6th. After checking out, I went out for lunch leaving my bags at the resort and when I came to collect it at around 3pm, and even at that time, the taps were still running dirty water ( see photo of the sink with grey water). I paid for certain services that included a basic level of hygiene and amenities - like a working toilet and a water supply - and that was not what I got. I've opened a support case with Expedia to get at least the last two nights of my booking which I didn't use, refunded but apparently the resort has rejected that. On a positive note, the staff here provided a good service. Friendly and joyful, although at times forgetful. As I mentioned at the start, I don't take pleasure in leaving 1-star reviews but it's an automatic 1-star review given I had to cancel my plans. Hopefully, what I experienced is not the norm for this resort but I don't think I'll visit here again. I stayed here during my 8th visit to Fiji and I've never faced these sort of problems anywhere else.

Oi auueee....I absolutely love my stay at Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa! 🌴 This was my second time at the resort and I always love the atmosphere. The staff members are always smiling and are always keen to lend a hand in any way or fashion. The tenderness and care that Fiji Hideaway possesses is more than enough to make people come back each and every time. The laughs, the food, and the hospitality I will always treasure. 😂🍽️💖 Kingi, Ony, Georgie, Vara, Eta, Nano, Lisa, Olly, and everyone else who work tirelessly to enable the establishment to run like clockwork, we salute you, we appreciate you, and we love you! Thank you for always making my stay memorable. Arohanui xxx 🙏😊 #Resort #Spa #Atmosphere #Staff #Tenderness #Care #Laughs #Food #Hospitality #Establishment #Memories

My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa. |Their hospitality and service was outstanding and we appreciated the laid back, relaxed vibe. |We enjoyed all of our meals at the restaurants, and all of the yummy cocktails at the bar. A special thank you to Voli for looking after us at breakfast every day, we loved talking with her. |Our bure was very nice, although it's age showed a little, it was super clean and the lovely cleaning staff did a great job servicing our bure. It always smelled fresh and fragrant when it had been cleaned. Our bed and pillows were very comfortable. |We liked the character and charm of the property and the pretty tropical gardens. |There was a great variety of activities on offer; we loved going to the local primary school, the Kakoda cooking demonstration and the Kava tasting. I had a great chat with Kini on our walk back from the school which I really enjoyed. Oni was so knowledgeable about Kava and how important it is in traditional Fijian culture. |When we left the resort on 24/10/25 at 4:40am, the lovely gentlemen in reception kindly provided coffee and pastries while we waited for our transport, which we greatly appreciated. |Vinaka vakalevu to everyone at Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa.|Elise, and Peter from Australia.

I loved the vibe, location and friendliness of this resort. And, unlike some other resorts in Fiji, this was next to a proper beach and coral reef. The resort was very attractive in parts and the locals super friendly. The pool was great. I thought it was excellent value for money compared to some other places. We had a baby with us and the locals made a great fuss of her. OK, it was not perfect. Some of the decor is quite dated, and the food was fine rather than great. So if you are looking for a super-luxury experience, maybe look elsewhere. But having to a few resorts now - I would happily return to this one.

I read all the bad reviews about the place and wasn't sure if I wanted to stay there.|I did however checked it up on my way up to Suva to get a better idea.|The place looked just fine and we ended up staying there for one night on our way back to Nadi.||Other than one lady which hands out the pool towel, every staff members are just excellent. ||The food is not overpriced as mentioned in some "Karen" reviews.|The menu is ok, with plenty of choice that reflects the needs of their guests, mainly Aussie and Kiwis families.|What ever we ordered from the main restaurant for lunch and the Japanese grill for dinner was tasty. |Ok fine, I give it to you, the Japanese is not 100 % Japanese, but they do their best and it did the trick. The atmosphere was great.||The main restaurant was very busy for dinner, and it seemed everyone was having a great time.||We had a garden bure since we were 4, these bures have 4 beds versus just the one for the Beach front.||You get your basics, no tv or internet but never mind that, it is fine. |We are locals, so we have internet from our phones.|The room could use a bit of TLC though. A few light bulbs were not working and the outside shower tap fell apart when I tried to operate it. |There is AC, but the unit in our room although very clean, needs a re-gas and it was barely cooling anything. I also noticed each bure seemed to have been fitted with at least 10 different brands. Seriously who does the purchasing here ? |This is a maintenance nightmare.||The pool area is just fine, and the slide very cool for the kids.|Water is clean.||One complaint though, the toilets which are under the slide, haven't been cleaned for days and stank of wee, bad, real bad !! Housekeeping this one is for you.||On the bad side, bare in mind they have a nonsense pool towel rules. |You need to return them by 17h30 and can't get fresh ones until 10h00 am. |So what happens when you kids wanna swim at 8h00 am and needs to get ready by 10h00 ? No towels to dry with and the lady at the Pool booth wouldn't bend the rule and was rather unfriendly about it. Not acceptable.|I had to drag the duty manager out of the office and after talking to her, I got my towels pronto, and I guess the pool lady was told to go to the market and buy herself a smile as well as a positive attitude.||All in all, this place is just fine to have a good relaxing time among stunning views.|It is a good 3* with fantastic staff. Food is more than all right, prices are in line with Fiji restaurants prices, breakfast come with a choice of an a la carte"" hot choices. ||When you depart you get your own good bye drums, We had a good time.

I had the best 7 days here. If your looking for somewhere relaxing and peaceful this is it. My bure/room was spacious and right on the beach front. It's far away from main cities but that's what I was looking for. All the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. I paid full board so had all my meals here and the portions were HUGE. And the massage I got at the spa was the best massage I've ever had of my life! I would 100% recommend this resort again and again.
