San Miguel de Allende Guide: From Natural Wineries to Boutique Bungalows, Discover This Next-Generation Creative Capital | Vogue

"We passed through a thick wooden door into a subterranean studio lined with well-worn cowboy saddles, geometric-patterned flannel tops, and antique silver and turquoise belts, where Norteño music blasted and beers were popped open with dusty leather boots. Launched four months ago as a way for visitors to learn the region’s traditional cowboy culture and customs, it offers bespoke hat-making experiences: Armendariz prefers Bolivian wool, Mexican rabbit fur, and Mexican palm leaves, and even guides guests through shaping and steaming the brim themselves. I chose a milky grey base that turns pink in the right light, ringed with an alabaster leather rope, sifted through gold and silver buttons, and settled on a three-pronged feather in brown, white, and black as she hammered in the final metal buttons. Completely unplanned and entirely impromptu, the evening felt celebratory and even a little chaotic; it was also perfect." - Michaela Trimble, Lilah Ramzi

We had a private party to celebrate a milestone birthday 🎂 for my mom. The room was beautiful and our server David took great care of our party. The food and drinks were wonderful and everyone really enjoyed their meals and the great service! The staff all around was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Thanks, Fillippas, for a wonderful dinner experience!

My first time at Filippas. All I have to say is WOW. I wish we had a location in Chicago. I had the best night ever. My cousins and I, sat outside in their garden. It was beautiful, and magical. The food was outstanding, and very tasty. One of the best Chicken Parmesan I've ever tasted. Let's talk night life. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Everyone danced, sang, and had a great time. It was a full house, and the vibe is just right.

Google
It was rather interesting! I mean besides the cool atmosphere and very great employees that had fantastic attitudes might I add. It wasn't like above and beyond. Except I really did enjoy the fetta alfredo. But it was all around a cool atmosphere. Highly priced obviously due to the fancier atmosphere as well as food. But the desert creme Brule, outstanding! The chocolate cake was my favorite due to the very saturated chocolate. The cheesecake was insanely good too. From what I heard the drink was very strong and not that pleasant to finish. However you may have to just have a certain taste to fathom the drink. But very well done with the employees!

My family has celebrated a number of major life events at Filippa’s - everything from a Baby Shower, Bridal Shower, Wedding Rehearsals, and a number of Anniversaries and Birthdays - and with each event the team at Filippa’s continues to impress us with their stellar service. The wait staff is top notch, providing fast and professional service. The food is always delicious and receives many compliments from our guests. Lastly, Asida is extremely welcoming, organized, personable, and makes the planning process seamless! She will go above and beyond to ensure your room layout is perfect and your guests feel comfortable. Don’t think twice about booking here!!

We had the best time tonight. I hadn't been here in about 15 years and it is still as lovely as I remembered. We ate in the bar because they had live music which was great. Our group had the perch, gnocchi special, and a chicken dish, as well as a desert. Everyone loved their meals and the service was excellent. I love the old school vibe. The butternut squash soup was absolutely fantastic!

Great atmosphere and service. Wish they still had the fresh calamari Sicilian on the menu. Escargot had good flavor

We booked a private room for our engagement dinner at Filippa’s. The service was great. All of the staff was amazing. They were friendly and polite and very attentive to our needs. They got us whatever we asked for right away. Everyone loved the food. I would highly recommend booking an event at Filippa’s!

Love this place! The food, ambience, and service all go above and beyond. It’s a charming Italian restaurant that’s lively and delicious—perfect for dinner or a night out for drinks!

Yelp
What a classic spot that I totally forgot about. Stopped in with a friend who had been raving that Filippa's is so good, and she was right. We started with the steak tips, which came in a really nice sauce, which was a smidge salty but still good. Each entrée came with the option of soup or salad -- I went with the clam chowder and my friend chose the salad with Italian dressing. Both were good. I ordered the Rigatoni Alla Vodka with meatballs while my friend had the Pollo Di Bacci. Both dishes were amazing. Next time I might skip the meatballs, only because they weren't as flavor-packed as I hoped, but that might just be me. Of course, their bread was as terrific as ever. The service was second to none. Our waitress, Rhonda, was wonderful, and a few other staff members stopped by to check on us throughout dinner. Everyone was so genuine and truly wanted to make sure we had a great experience. The atmosphere was warm, clean, and comfortable -- the kind of place where you can wear jeans or dress up a bit. The crowd seemed to lean a little older, but I can't quite figure out why. The prices are fair, the food is good!

Yelp
Attended a rehearsal dinner here so the menu was fixed. Three different appetizers were all good. Bread looked delicious and I managed to control myself so I could enjoy the rest of the meal - pasta course, salad, salmon. Tiramisu for dessert- one of the better I've had. Lovely setting for a wonderful event. Service was impeccable.

Yelp
So disappointed in this place last night. I should have known by the empty parking lot but it was open until 10 and it was 8:30. Da Francesca's was closed sadly a vacation (good for them, sad for me). We were sat quickly as there were only two other parities on the restaurant so there was plenty of seating. We were greeted promptly by our server and she was friendly the whole night...but that was the only positive part of the experience. The bread was hard and stale, like it had been sitting out all day. I was told that the warmer was off because they close soon so that is all they had - even though the restaurant still had an hour before closing. It was not edible. We were never asked what we wanted to drink, so we were left sipping water the entire meal Then came the lasagna... if you can even call it that. It arrived soggy, swimming in a bowl of greasy liquid, topped with burnt, rubbery cheese. It looked unappetizing and tasted worse. Not a single bite felt fresh or properly prepared. I could have had better reheated microwave lasagna. This place was a total letdown. They tried to make is right by offering to remake the meal or to offer a free dessert but at that point I didn't want anything from the kitchen. I had high hopes for this long standing Italian restaurant --what I got instead was an overpriced disaster. I won't be back.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years but the food still holds up. The drinks and soup were fantastic, but the steak bites with zip sauce were everything I remembered. So happy I got to dine in after so many years. I wish they shipped the sauce nationwide.

Yelp
Our carry-out order ended up costing significantly more than the prices listed on the restaurant's own website. When we brought this to the manager's attention, she initially denied any discrepancy, until we showed her the proof ourselves. Rather than taking responsibility or offering any kind of compensation, she simply remarked, 'Someone's getting fired,' and still charged us the higher in-store price. If you can't keep your website menu updated, that's not the customer's fault.

Yelp
We (a party of 5) had dinner at Filippa's last night (July 10, 2025). Our waiter, David, was friendly and professional. Our entrees were delicious and their presentations were eye appealing. This was totally a fine dining experience.

Yelp
Food was so delicious. We sat at the bar. The restaurant was a bit packed on Christmas Eve. We only had appetizers. They were all great. But meatballs were my favorite. The service is first class. I will be back to have dinner here

Yelp
We tried Filippa's for the first time last night. We were first sat in the dining area which was dimly lit with a nice setting. Unfortunately, there was a large party and a wedding rehearsal dinner going on at the same time occupying the majority of the space. The noise level was so crazy high that we requested to be moved to the bar area. The bar area was less appealing but much quieter than the dining area was on this day. Our waitress was very polite and knowledgeable regarding the menu. We ordered Arancini as an appetizer and received a warm bread basket with a dipping oil. The bread basket was very fresh and delicious. The Arancini were delicious, but quite small for the menu price. I ordered the Pollo Di Bacci with a side salad. The salad was a standard side salad with ranch dressing that was delicious. The main course was also very good, my only complaint was the Bacci pasta was a little over cooked. My husband ordered the Parmigiana with a bowl of the beef barley soup. The soup was neither good nor bad, just generic. The main dish was beautiful and the red sauce was delicious, however, the chicken was very tough with a soggy bottom. Our waitress was quick to replace the meal and my husband chose to change to the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. This dish was just okay, the prosciutto was very over powering making the entire dish taste like bacon. I enjoyed my meal and return, while my husband has little interest.

Yelp
The menu used to have a great variety of steakhouse items, it is now an Italian restaurant. Which isn't bad, but the original Filippa's menu was so good! We took my mother-in-law for late lunch the day before mother's day. We arrived Saturday at 3pm. We were asked if we had a reservation, we said no. Husband was told that we could be seated, but we only had 90min due to reservations. Had we not had my mother in law I would have walked out. That is so rude! There are ways to handle that situation without telling someone up front they are on a time limit. I doubt all of your seatings are arriving all together in 90 min. There were 3 tables currently sat. You weren't busy. Food was bland. The salmon itself was good, but the sauce made it. There was no real seasoning it flavor to the veggies, potatoes, or salmon. $28. Salmon was cooked properly, but just bland. Dessert was the best part. ‍

Yelp
We went for my very picky mom's 94th birthday (lunch, because of the 94 year's old of it all). We chose it because it was close to where she lives and had a pretty tasty sounding menu. The atmosphere was lovely, if a little dated, and both our food and service (Jennifer) were outstanding! We had the shrimp and mussels apps, whitefish po'boy, and Michigan salad. Our server was a delight and all of our food was very good. We will put it on our list of mom-approved places !

Yelp
We came in saturday night and were promptly sat by the sweet host at the front. Our server Aaron zipped over and introduced himself before suggesting a few of his favorite cocktails. We chose the mango tango and my hubby got a beer. Aaron then suggested we get a spinach dip to begin before we dove into dinner. He suggested a couple more things for dinner and every choice he made for us was excellent. One of the best dinner experiences ive had recently. Phenomenal service, wonderful food and great vibe overall. Looking forward to coming here again!

Yelp
It's been an old faithful restaurant for my family for 20 years. We always have good food here. It does get a bit loud when the place is full, but I love sitting in their high booths. Steak & fish cooked perfectly every time, and a large variety of cocktails and wine.

Yelp
Great food and nice party's on the weekend. I enjoy it every time I either invited there or celebrating a a family friend. Service so great and always gets to be taken care of.

Yelp
Wow! Came for New Years dinner went early because we did not have a reservation got there around 4 and place was starting to get picked up. They decorated the entire place for new years and had a dj stand you could tell they were going to party later one, they said the whole place was booked up after 6. I ordered the arancini came with 3 balls and they were divine; full of so much flavor. Got the lobster bisque soup and you can tell it is made fresh with fresh lobster in it, the cream was to die for never had a better soup before. Got the prime rib as the meal was larger than my hand and cooked to perfection, the aus ju sauce was also really good with it, had a lot of meat left over so made it into sandwiches the next day. So good, great job to the staff and servers as well place looked great staff was friendly and food was delicious.

Yelp
We had a birthday party with 20 guests today. The food and service were both outstanding. Christa was a sweet and competent server. The Cellar was a beautiful room that gave us the space to relax and celebrate without bothering restaurant customers or being disturbed by them. We'll definitely be back for our next special occasion.

Robert D.

Yelp
Firstly the service was great. Our server was friendly, efficient, and courteous. The food on the other hand was sub-par at best. There were 7 in our party and all feedback was pretty much the same. I started with the mussels and the only way to describe them was vile. The smell was so bad I had to cover them up. The clam chowder was good but my chicken entree was "off". Something in it and me did not get along. My wife had the white fish and it was full of bones. My friend ordered the shrimp scampi and said Olive Garden does a better job.

Yelp
Excellent happy hour. Thursday is half price bottle of wine. Great service and enjoyed the guitar and vocalist!

Yelp
Well unfortunately, as much as I love Filippa's on hall rd and mound, they did me dirty today. I have always been in their corner when people talked any crap about them on social media but what happened today has changed my mind a bit. I ordered off of their lunch menu for my husband and I after he got done with an important surgery. I figured the lunch menu had cheaper prices than the dinner menu (as most places with lunch menus do) and so when I saw lamb chops on the lunch menu for $17 I thought, wow that's a pretty good deal! So my husband wanted the lamb chops and I ordered them for him. We both love their lobster bisque and it was a $4 upcharge each, which we were definitely fine with that. So I thought the lamb chop lunch portion with the soup upgrade would be $21 total. When I showed up to pick up the food, I see that the lamb chops on the bill were $40! So I asked if they accidentally charged me the dinner prices, they said no and showed me the menu. The menu they showed me said the lamb chops were $36 and then with the $4 lobster bisque upcharge, that brought it to $40. I was like "wow, your website said the lunch portion is $17" (the entire time I was cool, calm and collected). The two women behind the to-go counter (one I believe was a waitress and the other I think may have possibly been a manager), were acting like I was looking at the wrong website and the one who I think was the manager said they would never have lamb chops that cheap and that if I see a restaurant with lamb chops that cheap then that's not a good sign and the only time I could possibly get them that cheap was if I went to the store and bought them myself. So I once again, insisted that their website said the lunch portion was listed at $17 and they kept acting like I wasn't looking at the right website. So the lady who I think was the manager was sitting at a computer but tried asking me to show her the website I was looking at (I left my phone in my car, so I wasn't able to show her) so she pulled up the Filippa's website on her computer and asked "did the website you looked at have these pictures on the main page" and I said "yes, I was looking at the right website, click on 'menu' then click on 'lunch' and scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the lamb chops are listed at $17." Sure enough, she saw what I saw (see picture attached for proof). She said "oh someone is getting fired! This isn't correct and needs to be fixed right away!" The waitress was standing right next to her and was the one who was trying to ring me up, she had her back to me but I could see her look at the manager and I don't know if she whispered or mouthed something but it looked like she may have said "should I honor the price?" or perhaps something along those lines and the manager shook her head no and then the waitress immediately turns around and says "so do you still want the lamb chops?" And I said "well yeah... I guess". At this point, my husband just got done with surgery and he really needed to eat something, I wasn't about to sit and wait for something else to be prepared. So they rang up the lunch portion of lamb chops at the full price and didn't offer any discount or anything to try and make this misinformation/situation right. I'm sorry, but I have managed restaurants before and if there was ever any issues like this that was mis-advertised, I ALWAYS tried to make things right somehow, that's just proper customer service and keeps regulars like me coming back. But instead they at first doubted me, made me feel gaslit, acted like I was crazy for thinking the lunch portion of lamb chops was $17 and then verified the price in front of my face with absolutely no intention of having excellent customer service. As much as I love the food at Filippa's, I don't think I'll be back for a while because that whole situation just rubbed me the wrong way. I can't believe how poorly this situation was handled. I wasn't expecting the meal to be free but they could have offered something to make me feel better about their pricing/advertising mistake! Filippa's customer service gets a 0/10 rating from me.

Yelp
This is NOT the Filippa's of old! The food was OK, but the menu is rather limited to basic Italian fare now and it feels like it used to be more extensive and diverse... Again, the food was OK. Nothing to write home about, but not bad. $22 for a bowl of rigatoni is borderline theft, but could be forgiven if it was homemade pasta or if it was like the greatest pasta that I've ever had, which is was not... The service however was AWFUL! We walked in at about 3pm on the Saturday before mothers days for a table for three and I was asked if we had a reservation and we did not... The place was pretty dead and I was asked if we could finish our dinner in 90 minutes because they had reservations to fill. I mean, we're not planning on spending the night here, but it really depends on you. How quickly can you get us out? I find this type of treatment to be very rude... if you can't fill a table, just turn us away. Don't give me a time limit. Our server was fairly slow and didn't even take drink orders; we had to ask for drinks ourselves and then when I asked for Thousand Island for my salad, so rolled her eyes and kind of grimaced and said that they don't have any, she paused, and then said but they can make it... Ok? You either have it or you don't. It was a very weird experience that she tried to make it sound like she was doing me a favor. You could have told me that you don't have it and I would have been fine with something else and never would have known... This may sound like a few petty complaints, but it's honestly just flat our rude and demonstrates bad service. There were one hundred ways that the service could have handled these "situations", but they chose to just be rude about it. We haven't been here in a long while; probably a number of years, but after yesterday, I certainly have no plans of going back.

Yelp
Super fast service and tasty food! Chicken is so flavorful! The breading is a nice crust and not over done! The sausage and peppers are different, but in a good way! They have diced potatoes in them and the tomatoes add a nice juicy flavor!
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
The food is good but there are many more local options that are better. The service was alright but for the overall food and experience I thought it was overpriced.

Beth J.

Yelp
Reserved for 12 people for Tuesday night. Our server Antonio was delightful and efficient. Everyone liked their food and most took some home cause the portions were so large. I really liked that Antonio served us bread while we enjoyed our drinks and waited for our food. We were the last to leave the restaurant but they never told us. Class act! My husband was highly impressed with the reasonable prices. The food is authentic Italian and large menu. I highly recommend - but make a reservation. I had veal parmisan and my husband had Fruitti di mare- fish pasta. Both were delicious.

Dan S.

Yelp
Went here for the atmosphere on Saturday night. Did not disappoint. Pollo Di Bacci is the best item on the menu!

Yelp
Been having lunch in the bar area here for years. Nice, chill atmosphere that they've redone, with quite a sophisticated feel. Markie and her friend are always reliable and serve with a smile. I usually order the Beef & Bleu salad which is phenomenal! When I first started having it, it was $19 and has since gone up to $22 and I never would've thought I could justify paying that for a salad but I make an exception here; it's like 2 meals in one. Such tender, juicy bites and it all together just works. The balsamic dressing pairs perfectly. I've also had the Shrimp alla Filippa's and it is an awesome little appetizer with 4 very decent sized pieces in a beautiful white wine sauce. Great place for a bite!
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
I decided to treat myself. Being alone, I sat in the bar area. Had lovely conversations with a couple of guests and the staff. My meal was excellent and service outstanding.

Yelp
We come to this Restaurant at least twice a month, we came very late about 830p and we're very hungry. We asked our waiter" Gazmend" during our drink order to get us a Arancini, it was great. My wifes Chicken Marsala, she said it wasn't as good as last time!!! l ordered Chicken Sicilian, it was okay I normally order Chicken Parm, which is always great. That's what l get, for not sticking with my go to dinner. Our waiter was a 10 of 10, the best. We also heard Albanian music in the background, which is very close to Lebanese music, we loved it. l want to mention the young guys cleaning tables, they were right there on the spot, cleaning off table. Managers and staff are always accommodating. P.S. l am a very tough grader they were probably a 4.5.

Yelp
Made reservations at Fillipa's for my girlfriend's birthday. This place was on my commute route, I've literally driven by it a thousand times. The atmosphere was nice. Good variety on the menu. Decent wine list. The lobster bisque was delicious, and the escargot were very tasty. Unfortunately, those were the only positive aspects. Service was tepid at best. Despite having a party ordering drinks, sides, entrées, and desserts, I think the waitress spent a total of about 2 minutes at our table. Her attitude was one of total indifference. I had specifically mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday, and she didn't ask or even acknowledge it. The bill was over $400. I usually tip 30%. She didn't get that. Outside of the highlights, the food was average at best. I had the lasagna. It was unimpressive. My girlfriend had the chicken Marsala. She said mine was far better. It did not live up to the reviews. I spent many years waiting tables in high-end restaurants and would have been embarrassed to give a customer the same experience we had. There are far better options for Italian cuisine in the area and at a far lower price point. I don't think we'll be returning.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Snagged a reservation after trying unsuccessfully at other spots closer to where we were located. The star gazer lilies at our table seem to need a bit of TLC and removal of the pollen and bulbs inside, it's shedding the stuff. Wanted the calamari and the escargot but the calamari is already breaded and the escargot can't be made without the butter either. We ordered the salmon salad sans candied pecans and cheese, it comes with lemon vinaigrette and then the seabass or bronzini with green beans without the butter. The seabass comes with a house salad and ordered it with the balsamic vinaigrette. The wine glass lights above are cool and fun. The bathrooms smell and look clean. They are cleaning the tables and chairs between guests at least. It's quite busy in here, they might be adhering to the 6 feet between tables, but looks more like 50% full and not the 15% capacity. The side salad looked lifeless, dull and boring, mixed green and ice berg, the dressing is good at least. The food feels like it takes forever when you don't have any appetizers you can eat. The bronzini looked opaque and beautiful, pearlescent and white. It is cooked perfectly, it's a bit bland but lemon juice helped some. I taste a hint of butter in the fish prep, but not overpowering, although I didn't want anything in butter at all. The green beans that were supposed to come as my side ended up being yellow squash, zucchini and red onions too. The salmon salad was quite a good salmon portion. The lemon dressing was nice, a bit of extra sweetness from the dried cranberries too. Our waitress is good about cleaning off our table. We haven't seen her since our we finished our dinners. Finally got our bill, now we are waiting for the card to get swiped so we can leave. We left and the front area was so full off people, we hauled out of there quickly, so congested. Food was decent, as was the service.

Kerry K.

Yelp
Great facility and food. The menu selections are traditional Italian, but there is something there for everyone. Service is excellent. Our waitress, Tina, did a great job and was very helpful. The employees seemed to work well as a team.

Yelp
I have a pet peeve. If your going to offer eggs Benedict and a breakfast hash with poached eggs, make sure the yoke is runny not hard. If it wasn't Easter brunch I would have sent my dish back. Both my hash and my wife eggs Benedict, the poached eggs were over done. Bummer.

Yelp
Went here on a date after we couldn't get a seat at another restaurant nearby and omg I'm so glad we ended up here. The food was good but the ambiance was even better. Very cozy and romantic feeling inside with dark moody lighting, jazz music playing and a fireplace to set the mood. The malbec wine I had was also great and I wish I took a pic of the drink menu so I could've bought a bottle!! Overall 5/5, I will definitely come back.

Lion A.

Yelp
I really liked the food and we all had a great time and the staff wore well prepared. You get multiple choices of soup and salads plus multiple choices of delicious food. They had thought over all the details and the style was super comfortable. The toilets were clean and it had a unique style. The chairs had also a unique style. I love this restaurant.

Laura W.

Yelp
I wanted to call this a 3 but figured it was my fault so went with 4. I went here for a quiet, relaxing lunch. Everything was great except I should have packed my own leftovers. I probably had eaten only 1/4 of my dish, if that. It was pretty expensive for lunch but figured my leftovers with a salad would be 2 dinners, so pretty good value. The waitress packed my leftovers. I was stunned when there was so little in the small container. I learned my lesson that I will always pack my own leftovers. I did have a great quiet and relaxing lunch but the deal with the leftovers clouded the experience.

Emily C.

Yelp
Great food and service! Haven't been here in so long, decided to try it out. Very cozy on the inside and great staff all around. Went with a big group - table received bread and oil so good! Ordered spin dip and meatballs - both great choices from the apps! Everyone received a salad or soup with their entree - caesar dressing was delicious! Between the whole table we ordered ribs, chicken piccata, lasagna, rigatoni, gnocchi and chicken parm dishes - we're a close family so we all tried a little bit of everyone's and to say you can't go wrong with any of those dishes is an understatement! They were absolutely delicious. Added a complimentary pistachio/chocolate chip cannoli at the end for a birthday too! Will definitely be going back 10/10 experience. Thank you!

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere, great food & drinks. Amazing patio!!!! Perfect for a night out with friends or dinner with the family.

Yelp
I must, I have never had dinner at Filippa's for dinner. lunch is a different story. i pride a restaurant on service than food. decorate is a category alone. Bianca was serve. She was understanding, helpful in making a dinner choice most of she returned our table a number of times to check on needs. The mussels were served and n a tomato base both. I only needed a soup spoon to finish off the both. Dinner was amazin. The sauces that covered our meats were perfection. Yes, I completed my dinner by soaking up the sauce with their freshly baked bread.

Yelp
Came here for a work dinner and left impressed. The service was solid and the food was even better. The salads and bread were great starters. The soups were solid and the entrees were mouth watering. The steak, chicken and pasta were all amazing. Will be back to experience this on a personal visit.

Yelp
I had my daughter's bridal shower at the restaurant August 31/ 2024 the second I got there I was told the prices had changed. They went from $31 to $37. I got into an argument with them. I told them that was not the price we agreed upon, then they proceeded to intimidate me n got mad at me after we already set up a party for 100 people then they told me after changing price last sec that my daughter signed a paper which is a lie they have nothing n told us if we don't like it we can go somewhere else like what nerve I ended up paying five dollars extra for each person almost 100 people. My niece wrote a review on the restaurant they ended up cyber stocking her and my daughter n contacting them directly saying it's hurting there business stalking them immediately following them on social media and took my money n had zero accountability . they have absolutely the worst service. Their manager was horrible. I cried on my daughter's bridal shower. I was angry the entire time.

Yelp
Wasn't impressed. My friend had a worm from the tequila bottle in her drink & my other friend had a bone in her boneless chicken parm.

Yelp
I love this place but the second time in 2 weeks been here , trying to have dinner and there blaring disco music in the beautiful lounge that should be having music playing something that is more appropriate. Please please reconsider a more traditional singer, entertainer more suited for the beautiful lounge, this place is not a nightclub!

Yelp
Stopped at Filipinas for lunch with co-workers. Got the Black & Bleu steak salad. Steak was cooked perfectly and salad was top-notch. Nice ambiance and great service. Well worth the visit!

Yelp
This place had gone down hill; portion size is so small, leaving hungry. Ordered tenderloin tips, think I got 4 small pieces with mostly mushrooms, and they were tough. Salmon, same, small and overcooked,.. $65 bucks and I need to stop and McDonald's on the way home.... WTF

Yelp
We had a great evening, largely because of a great waiter, but I lost the receipt and don't remember his name - efficient, accurate, knew how to serve and remove our food properly (a lost art these days) Came with group of 6 on a Friday night - dined in the bar area (quieter, relaxing), salads were fresh and crunchy, house cabernet good quality, my home-made pasta with cheese and course pepper was the best my wife and I have had since we left SW Florida. Yes, complimentary bread service (another rarity these days). Our table was well managed by the waiter and his hard working assistant. Carrot cake meh. Definitely will be included on a return visit in the next week or two.

Yelp
The entire restaurant smelled like boiled socks. Food was over-cooked in what I would assume was boiled-sock water. Everything bad.

Yelp
If I could rate this place with no stars, I would. I made reservations for 4 people and was never once informed that you must be 21 to sit in the patio area. I had 2 girls with me that were 20 years old. The host up front who claimed to be one of the owners was extremely rude and disrespectful and denied us a seat in the patio area due to their "rules"... meanwhile, my little cousins friends (18 years of age) were all celebrating an 18th birthday IN THE PATIO AREA. Needless to say, unless you have connections to anyone at this place, you get treated like garbage.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I've been to. The best atmosphere with amazing food and music. The owner is so sweet and very understanding. It's like being at a small party while enjoying food and fun time with your friends and family. So far I've been here twice and I plan on going many more times:)

Yelp
Even though this restaurant is far far from the Indy area it was terrific. We were there for a 50th wedding anniversary party and needless to say we expected the food to be mediocre and probably lukewarm due to the large number of guests. To our surprise this was not the case everything came hot and it was delicious plus the bars pour of wine was more than adequate it was enormous. If you're ever in the Utica Michigan area I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
My family and I went here this past weekend for dinner, and I'm surprised that I had never heard of it or tried it before, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in at the amazingly beautiful and modern ambience and decor. The hostess Iris so nice and promptly greeted & and took us to our table, even on a busy Saturday night - I was glad we didn't have to wait past our reservation!! Once we were seated, our waitress promptly greeted us, and made recommendations - the whole place smelled so good, and the menu was very inviting- We went with the calamari to start. I just don't like the rectangle type of calamari, but my kids do, but the sauce was amazing with capers and lemon! (Hence 4 stars instead of 5). My husband ordered the veal piccata and thought it was really good, I would've added lemon but now I'm just being picky haha My kids got the pasta with meatballs and rigatoni alla vodka with proccuito- they ate very well - and even came back for their carry out the next morning! I ordered the steak (yes I know, but I was really craving the protein) I was pleasantly surprised by my selection because it really tasted like in Italian meat dish with heavy pepper in a flavorful zip sauce, which was very nice. The tiramisu was excellent, but small, and overall everything was a bit overpriced for the size, but the atmosphere made up for it.
