FILIPPOU Restaurant

Found this hidden gem in the neighborhood where we were staying as we walked by it numerous times. There is both inside and outside seating. Server was very friendly. We started with the delicious fried feta with honey and sesame seeds. This is a must try for anyone visiting Greece. We also had the tasty Octopus which was chopped with oil, vinegar and oregano. The Artichokes a la Polita was slow cooked artichoke hearts with carrots and potatoes in a lemon sauce. It was quite good. And the meatloaf was cooked with an egg in the middle….definitely different. The meal ended with a moist cake with brown sugar that was quite good. And the beer always hits the spot. Great prices for a meal.

Delicious lunch at Filippou! We didn't take many photos as we were tucking in. Beautiful salad, taziki and fried feta with honey, then the grouper with oven potatoes, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned and melt in the mouth chicken. Everything was Beautiful. Can't wait to go back. Thank you.

A neighbourhood eatery perfect for professionals lunch or for tourists. The pastitsio was good and so was the steamed veg and greek salad. The dips were very mediocre and definitely not homemade as they say. I returned my aubergine dip almost untouched and they still charged me for it. Service was rude for my taste. If you are in the area and you want authentic lunch type give it a go.

Old fashioned tavern- restaurant with typical well-cooked Greek cuisine. Outside seating during summer time, kind service by knowledgeable waiters. Must try the lamb, meatballs, stuffed cabbage leaves (dolma) and pies of this place. Maybe the most original food in Kolonaki area that is still reasonably priced. Delivery is also available.

A wonderful discovery from walking around the city. It seems like a traditional Greek/Athenian place (that's good for lunch too) 99% customers seem local? In any case, good wholesome food and very reasonable price with good staff. So naturally, I stayed for a second glass of red 😊 🍷 🍷 & dessert 🍨 😊

Great authentic place! It wasn’t the cosiest place ever but it felt very genuine and authentic. They served super tasty greek food and good wine. The prices were really affordable as well! Great service.

Nice experience dining here after finishing the view from Lycabettus Hill. My husband had the best lamb fricassee in his life. The lamb was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My spaghetti with minced meat was very simple but good.
