Second time we've been here with a family of five. Family villa ideal for families: two semi's with connecting internal door. Beach is wonderful, as is the snorkelling. Best bit of beach and snorkelling between exits 5 and 7, villas 50 to 80. Nice buffet style food. Super-chilled pool bar. Staff everywhere are extremely friendly and always helpful. Very good dive center.

I have been to the Maldives 6 times already. I was there 4 weeks ago with my husband and kids and because I felt so overwhelmed with joy in this happy place I decided to come back with my dad 4 weeks later. ||Upon researching islands I stumbled across Filitheyo island resort and liked the fact that it is in an Atoll I had not been to before and because it is so secluded and therefore decided to book.||Having spent a couple of days here I can only share my sheer admiration for this gem of an island. The beaches are serene and the housereef is stunning. It only 2 took me two snorkeling attemps to tick off one huge chunk in my bucket list: swimming with a turtle! The reef next to exit 4 is amazing and one can see nursesharks, a variety of fish and we even came across a muray eel. ||The food is varied and very tasty and I have especially appreciated the green salad and the crunchy, juicy tomatoes. The staff is lovely as well (for example, we were greeted with a complimentary massage upon arrival or just today while I was chilling on my sunbed I was offered a free coconut they had just retrieved from a palm tree - in the resort 4 weeks ago you had to pay 10 dollars for this - but here in Folitheyo luxury is spelled differently). ||If you are looking for some peace and quiet whilst endulging in the pristine underwater wildlife, unspoiled nature and lush gardens, this barefoot island is for you! I am looking forward to to spending another 11 days here and can only warmly recommend Filitheyo.

It's our sixth time in maldives and every time we pick a different atoll. Filitheyo is located on the faafu atoll and it's the only resort of the atoll. Besides snorkeling and diving - something associated with maldives - the atoll has one of the least polluted skies in the world, making it a perfect spot for stargazing. The house reef has seen better days but it's still impressive and showing promising of recovery. It's easy to spot turtles, diamond rays and a plethora of colorful fishes that will make you day. Accommodation are adequate, clean and staff is welcoming and friendly. Food present a variety of local and international cuisine for all palates. Entertainment during the night is scarse, but it makes sense because of it location. Still ste staff manages to come out with ideas to keep you entertained. Note of advice: seaplane is needed to reach the resort, depending your comfort riding planes it can be the time of your life or a nightmare. For us it was one of the highlights of the trip

My stay here was wonderful. The beaches are breathtakingly beautiful, and the underwater world, with its incredible undersea life, is a must-see. The restaurant provides a wide range of food choices. While the rooms are standard and the resort is quiet on the entertainment front, the stunning surroundings provide all the distraction you need.

Filitheyo is a stunning island with soft white sand, clear turquoise water, and fantastic snorkeling just steps from the shore. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcome right away. Food is delicious and varied, with something new every day. The whole place has a peaceful, natural vibe—perfect for a relaxing getaway.

My experience on the island of Filitheyo impressed me very much. Friendly staff throughout the island. Very nice reception, the staff really tries to make visitors feel at home. The food is excellent, the chef deserves credit and praise. Friendly staff in the spa center, from which you leave feeling like a new person.

I am currently on the island half way through my holiday. There are numerous positives to this rustic island, the friendly and efficient staff ( bar, restaurant and room services). They cannot be faulted in any way. However what needs addressing is the fact WiFi is chargeable from $6.22 per hour up to $124.26 for a week. This came as a surprise to me and many other guests, who I understand have expressed their disappointment. This is not made clear in any website etc. In this day and age, WiFi is part of the day to day living and should be included in the holiday cost. When I questioned my surprise, I was told that if they included the cost, it may deter people coming. I was further advised that this is what the service provider could offer. Surely it is down to the customer to dictate what they want.!!! I feel I was being fobbed off. I am surprised as the sister island, Medhufushi, does not charge for WiFi. Further more once you sign up to WiFi, they forget to tell you that after 10 minutes of non use, you have to sign in again, and the same applies if you change location on the island. This is onerous. Presumably, over a period of time, this saves the island money!! There are a number of other issues which concern me. One of which is that some of the hot dishes were cold when I chose them. After 3/4 days I did speak to someone about this matter, just by way of feedback. 2 days later nothing has changed. In my opinion it is important that these concerns are brought to the managements attention and dealt with. I therefore will not go into my other concerns, but suggest a senior manager arranges to meet with me and hopefully resolve all issues. I believe they will know who I am and look forward to an honest and productive dialogue. If this does not happen I will provide a supplemental review in due course.

Been on the island three days now, island is lovely with a great house reef, made even better as we have access from our water villa ,food is excellent at both the main restaurant and sunset bar and staff are extremely friendly and helpful, only couple of downsides so far are having to pay for WiFi ?? Seems questionable given the price paid to get here and also having to pay for the pool table? Again seems penny pinching given the amount people pay to come to the island.no entertainment on an evening which is fine however a tv showing news, live sports etc would help in the bars
