Filitheyo Island Resort

Our stay at Filitheyo Island was absolutely gorgeous! The island and its house reef are simply breathtaking, with stunning coral formations and an incredible variety of fish. Our villa was perfect—just a few steps from the reef, making it easy to explore the underwater beauty.The food was incredible—delicious and diverse, with a different cuisine to enjoy every night. The bar was fantastic, and the staff truly made our stay unique. A special thanks to Rabiul and Raj at the bar, who were always kind, friendly, and had the best attitude.The only issue we encountered was during checkout. We had planned for a late checkout to have lunch at the main restaurant and enjoy a few last drinks at the bar, but our departure time was suddenly changed without prior notice. We only found out because we happened to ask at reception. As a result, we left the resort earlier than expected, only to wait nearly an hour on the boat near the airport, which didn’t make much sense to us.Aside from that, everything else was wonderful, and we truly enjoyed our stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Filitheyo Island Resort and are extremely pleased with our experience. The hotel offers excellent quality in every aspect, and we felt well taken care of throughout our visit.||The food was a highlight, with a wide variety of dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. There was something for everyone, making each meal a delight.||The beaches were idyllic – soft white sands surrounded by crystal-clear waters. Spending our days here was a pleasure, and it was easy to relax and enjoy the stunning natural beauty.||The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. We always felt welcomed and appreciated their professional yet warm approach.||The only thing that could have made our stay perfect would have been an earlier dinner service. For a family with young children, 7:30 PM can be a bit late. Additionally, it would have been appreciated if the internet was free, as this is a basic service in many other hotels.||Despite these minor areas for improvement, we are very satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend Filitheyo Island Resort to other travelers. We stayed in an overwater villa for a week around the new year holiday. This resort is great. We came away refreshed and full of memories. First things first, this place is brimming with hospitality. We got smiles for miles from our server Mojilu in the dining area, Faruk in the pool bar, Robiul and Akil in the main bar as well as Zuhoor on our Snorkel Safari as well as our housekeeper Kashem. Everyone was lovely and accommodating. The only drawback we had was the menu. It is heavy on the curry. Unfortunately it's our least favorite cuisine. All meals are 70% curry so be ready. However there is a pasta station, fresh salads and some other alternatives for every meal. This one is more preference. As far as the carving station goes; there were meats nightly but they all were lukewarm. That is the only issue ue we had. We did make do with everything else that was offered. The resort has two bar areas and the pool is well maintained with a gorgeous sunset view. The grounds are cared for and the housekeeping includes turndown. We snorkeled off of the water villa daily and we found the dive center to be extremely stocked with excursions. Since we opted for the all-inclusive aspect we did get some complimentary excursions which we used to our advantage. PRO TIP, when you arrive, sign up for excursions at check-in. They can fill up fast if the resort is busy. This whole staff goes above and beyond to make you welcome.

The resort is very calm, beautiful with very friendly staff. Rooms are very comfortable (except the bed mattress) and clean. Snorchling is great. Food is something incredible here! Lots of curries and great reef fishes. Traveling by hydro-plane was very exciting. For us is this holiday kind a paradise. We highly recommend this resort to everyone who is looking for peaceful staying.

Great Resort. The Service is customer oriented, respectful and approachable. The reef is amazing. Many fish, including sharks, mantas and turtles. Dive school is available on the island, plus several different excursions. Here you will have a great vacation experience from beginning to end.

A good house reef with plenty of fish, but the current constantly changes. The staff is friendly and always ready to help solve any issue. The island feels wild, but it could use a bit more upkeep. Some areas need renovation (for example, the pathway to the villas – the lighting consists of completely different lamps, which doesn’t look great) and so on.

Resort staffs - ||The resort manager is unmannered and very cheap guy who doesn’t have the manners to talk. Resort staffs are good . ||||Accommodation- ||The rooms are as equivalent to a 1.5 star rooms very dirty furniture with meagre maintenance. ||Drinking water is chargeable. ||WiFi is chargeable. ||||Transfer - ||Return transfer they will provide connecting seaplanes which is very inconvenient. ||||Food - ||Food is stale and we were 16 friends out of that 6 people got food poisoning issues. ||When inquired from resort staffs they told its common here and everyday 3-4 cases comes . ||Unmannered Resort manager started arguing when complaining about food . ||||Cleanness - ||Rooms are very dirty and nobody bothers to do housekeeping . Even after repeated requests the cleaning guys don’t do housekeeping on regular basis. ||||In short it is advised not to visit as the money spent is not worth at all . ||||Further the resort manager is the most unmannered staff we communicated over there .

Just finished 8 days at the resort. Thoroughly enjoyed it. ||There's a lot to know about the place but best on mind this is not a top end resort, it's towards the lowest end of all-in Maldives experiences so I wouldn't get too precious about smaller details. ||Last came here 5 years ago. Rooms have had a makeover and the Delux room I stayed in (73) was clean and everything worked. ||The main point of this holiday is the reef which is 30m from my rooms door. Saw all manner of stuff snorkeling - sharks, rays, turtles and a lot of larger and smaller reef fish. Tick :)||Food wise all meals at the main restaurant are buffet style. You are going to eat more curry than you'd usually eat but *this ain't the Conrad. ||Excursions were a bit of a mixed bag. Whale Shark Snorkeling involves a 2hr 15 min boat ride each way. It was a bit rough when we went out and after we got there we didn't find one of the buggers lol. ||Fishing - if you like your fishing pack your own gear. 'reef fishing' is by handline. Trolling for which they require 2 guests to go, is also by hand line. A travel rod, reel and some decent hooks, softbaits would be ample. Current strong at times so a mix of jigheads. ||Five tips for saving money. ||- buy a SIM card at Male Airport. Wifi is pricey. |- bring your own flippers mask and snorkel (with prescription lenses if needed|- half board and eat lunch at the other restaurant is an option but menu is limited|- the wine at the resort is genuinely awful so I'd avoid it|- spa services were good but not so cheap so give these a miss if you want to save some coin||Oh, and they charge for water so drink tea and coffee at the main restaurant :) ||
