This place is a winner! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the amazing collection of memorabilia. It really sets the mood. The food was delicious and it was cooked perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and overwhelming. A great spot for a casual meal or a night out with friends. Stepping into the Filling Station is like stepping back in time (in a good way!)

We heard so much about this interesting place that we decided to go see it for ourselves. The Filling Station Bar and Cafe is an American Restaurant and it opens 24 hours. Its was located not far from our hotel and it took us only ten minutes to walk there. This amazing place has a fantastic and lively atmosphere. It gives out the retro 50’s cafes vibes. Imagine finding Darth Vader, Elvis Presley, Pink Panther, Captain America, Superman, Incredible Hulk and Harry Potter etc all under one roof… how cool is that! The place is decorated with lots of cool memorabilia. We had an enjoyable meal and the food was good. Portions were just right for us. The staff were friendly and they look so cute in their retro uniforms. Overall, it was an interesting and wonderful experience to dine here. Definitely a must visit if you’re in Manila, Philippines!

Americana kitsch at its finest! This retro-themed diner is full of charm, and I loved the novelty of the decor. We stopped by for breakfast with the family and stuck to the basics—they delivered exactly what we hoped for. Since we visited around 10 a.m. on a weekday, it wasn’t crowded, and the staff, although not that attentive, was easy to flag down. I’d describe it as a fun mix of Applebee’s, Chili’s, or TGI Friday’s vibes paired with a Denny’s breakfast menu. It’s slightly pricier than other spots, but the unique atmosphere made it worth it. We had a great time!

The wow factor and nostalgia of this restaurant is really incredible. The memorabilia is super cool and really makes for a neat atmosphere. Our server while very kind was hard to notice us; so service was very slow and while the food was good, our basic breakfast was VERY expensive for what it was, but I also understand you are paying for the atmosphere at the same time. While we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere I think this is a place I would visit once for sure but would have no need to go back. I will say though, their in-house made bread was VERY good.

I love the vibe it gives! My friend and I had our dinner here, which was a surprising heck of a serving! We also love the foods we ordered as well as the drinks. The only thing is that there's not enough parking space for this area. But I guess this is manageable.

A must try!!!! Great ambience. Love their commitment to the retro American Filling Station cafes of the past. A lot of time and attention to detail was placed on the decorations. Delicious food, good portions, lots of options. They have alcoholic drinks as well, including basic cocktails. There are live performances Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. The waitress, Jenny, was great and attentive. Rest of the staff were also really polite and attentive.

My first visit to this bar was a fantastic experience, and the eye-catching aesthetic immediately drew me in. As someone who loves American vintage, stepping inside felt like traveling back in time to the golden age of oldies but goodies. The atmosphere was immersive, and the details were spot on. The food, while a bit on the pricey side, was absolutely worth it—everything we tried was delicious. A pleasant surprise was the extra milkshake served in a separate tumbler, made with the leftover mix from my order. It was such a thoughtful touch and a first-time experience for me. One of the highlights was the unexpected staff performance on the floor. We caught it just as we were about to leave, and it was an entertaining way to end the night. I’d definitely love to return, especially for a special occasion. This place is a gem for anyone who appreciates vintage vibes and great service!

Google
Definitely a time capsule in one place! The place smells really clean and nice, and everything is kept together especially the memorabilia it was well taken cared for and despite the amount of items everywhere it still felt organized and put together! It felt like a museum and a trip back in time eating here :) I absolutely loved the milkshake and adored the idea that they put in the extra milkshake in another cup so that there won't be any waste! Love the crispyness of chips and fries but, for the burger it's alright.

Yelp
The ambiance is straight out of 50s ~ neon lights, memorabilia, and great vibes. Big servings! Perfect for those who want a hearty meal in a fun retro setting.

Yelp
Decent place that is open 24hrs, good for those working the night shift. Interior is bright and BUSY. Drinks were good overall. We only had chicken tenders and fries and both were underwhelming as cold and didn't taste fresh. Also had to hunt down our server to get refills and the tab. Seedy neighborhood so be aware of your surroundings. Might go back, but not if I can find somewhere better.

Yelp
i'm here four times and the food goes from a little bit less than desired to very good. Serving sizes are very nice. And the most important thing is that this is a 24 hour restaurant with a very long tradition with incredibly beautiful eclectic American decoration. Overall, I would normally recommend going to this place. However, I had to return a food order because it. It was supposed to be a club sandwich, but ended up being more of an egg and some kind of ground something sandwich with what looked like fried ham. When I told them that I really like it and it's not what I expected and I asked to replace it with something else, they told me it wasn't possible. The manager that I would just take it to go pay for it and never returned it if that was the case. I had been here 4 times, and that includes a party of 2 and referring a party of 8... and I don't think the issue is really limited to my dish because I've had a few dishes here and they're not exactly the flavor or the quality you would expect . Wrong as you have expectations that are lower, but you really want the ambience and the 24 hour access then I would say this is a good place. But if you actually want food that taste like it looks like it has the ingredients of the title and no, you don't wanna do that. I had to look up what a club sandwich is and no, that wasn't right. I think the reason it was so off was because they turned it into a breakfast sandwich and they skimp on most of the meat in order to save money. Anyways, the manager told me that it was a management policy and spoken to staff. He could provide an alternative meal that I would pay for in lieu. He knew I was going to make a yelp comment and he knew very well that I would never return. Which is a shame because I still have weeks left and I really like the place itself... the waitresses and waiters are very nice and you don't have to wait long to get service although the food takes a long time to come every single time.

Yelp
So so experience here unless you are into Elvis Impersonators. I had the Adobo Chicken - too salty and not enough of it. The menu is big, but bigger is not better. The hostess seated me in a corner (I was solo). The server came by in minutes to take my order, I wasn't close to having viewed the menu and asked for a minute. 15 minutes later I tackled a server and placed the order. It's a decent place to get a meal, but just not great but not sub-par either.

Yelp
This place brings back memories for me as in Hawaii we use to have a place called Ronnie's. A 50/60s diner before they shut down. The food is pretty amazing here I got the DiMaggio hotdog and that hit the spot. The service was definitely quick and efficient being that it was around 8:30 pm and staff were pretty accommodating. The ambience it's a 50s/60s diner the music the posters everything was perfect and the childhood memories of the restaurant Ronnie's in Hawaii had come back. Recommend for anyone living or visiting the Philippines

Yelp
This restaurant is made to look like all-American diner, only they included hundreds if not thousands of dinner and Hollywood memorabilia on every inch of wall, floor and ceiling space. It's an Instagram spot and a must go to place for anyone visiting Manila and want to do something different. The waitresses and waiters dress like 1950 dinner style , some with roller skates, and on weekends you will find a Marilyn Monroe look alike serving tables too when they are not having there photo taken. We ate on the second floor out of three floors next to a vintage blue Cadillac mustang, apparently a real one, body only. And you you can have your meal in it to if you plan to spend the minimum on food, $50 ? The food dishes are all huge and taste like real good dinner food, at dinner prices. I also order one of the ice cream big cup desserts and it must have been made with 3 gallons of ice cream. the three of us could not finished it. While we were eating dinner the waitresses did a little dance routine that was entertaining. The only hiccup was the dessert, we waited a long time for it, they should have told us they are freshly made and need to stay in a blast freezer for 20 minutes so they don't fall apart. I recommend making a reservation if you going between 4 and 8 PM for diner time.and also bring proof of vaccination.

Yelp
Family friendly. Quick service when coming in. Took us 4 times to get our bills though. Portion is large. Atmosphere is fun. Foods was good! Try the Ube shake! It's so good!

Jordan K.

Yelp
Loved the vibe and atmosphere in this place. The burger was good and can't go wrong with ice cold San Mig! Sit by the window so you can street people watch.

Yelp
This restaurant was hidden in the middle of Makati and when you go inside, it just takes you a world away. My family and I shared deep fried ice cream, it was scrumptious. I had the Cesar salad and vegetarian pizza and the vegetarian pizza was the bomb. I will definitely be going back to this place a few more times before I leave Makati. The attention to details to the decorum was phenomenal. This restaurant is an American themed based in the 1950s. The servers wore their 1950s get up and the service was perfect. I give this restaurant 5/5 stars.

Patrick B.

Yelp
Such a cool experience coming to a retro bar in the Philippines. They had old school cars to sit in while you ate dinner and the vibe of the place was retro. Tons of food options and great portions. Truly a cool restaurant to eat at and they had a great watermelon drink!

Patrick J.

Yelp
Great place to eat in Makati! Food and service excellent! Staff really enjoy their work. The 50's ambiance is spot on. Great just to eat and take in all the different attractions inside the restaurant. A must eat in the Philippines!

KevinTawny T.

Yelp
Literally across the narrow alley from our hotel - the Oxford Suites, this place is jumping and high energy for 5am. We've been up since 3:30am because we crashed at 8pm every night since landing in the PHILIPPINES . Glad to have a place that serves breakfast early but didn't expect this: Americana Galore !!! We ordered two Filipino breakfast: one with Pork Tocino with Vinegar, and one with Corn Beef. The Tocino was excellent but the corn beef was just ok. The Garlic Rice was out of this world.

Dana D.

Yelp
Favorite place to crash when I'm hankering for a drink or just in Makati and I've no idea where to go. It's the best place drink if you're low-key introverted and antisocial because it's hidden somewhere in the red light district, so it seldom gets crowded. It's also open 24/7, what I like about Filling Station when I spend mornights (nornings?) here is you can enjoy their bomb selection of breakfast food. They also serve coffee, if that's your thing. And milkshakes, which def brings boys to the yard (well, for me anyway) so I highly reco you try it. You're welcome in advance. Menu is mostly American favorites, and servings are big, but also a bit on the pricey side. I reco trying out their burger pizza, which is basically pizza with burger patties tucked in the crusts. Local beers are pricier also, somewhere over a hundred, so at times I just go for a frozen Margarita.

Yelp
Flew into Manila on a late Thursday night and told my cousin I was craving American comfort foods. He took me to this spot! The restaurant reminds me of an all-American diner. We ate on the second floor next to a vintage blue Cadillac mustang (apparently a real one). And if you spend a certain amount, you can have your meal in it. No thanks, I'll just admire it from afar! We ordered 2 coke floats, midget burgers and Presley's pasta. Do not expect your order to come out looking like the pictures on the menu. Coke floats satisfied my sweet tooth and our food orders fulfilled the comfort food craving I had after spending 20+ hours traveling and eating just airplane food... but I just couldn't finish what I ordered. While we were eating dinner the waitresses did a little dance routine that was entertaining. Some were smiling while some didn't look very happy. Had to flag down servers but they were attentive once we got their attention. I would not come back for the food but if I had a craving for a coke float or wanted to hang out somewhere cool

Patrick U.

Yelp
Food: Chocolate Milkshake is very heavy on the belly. It's already huge yet they put the excess on the side, good for several more sips. Cajun Chicken Fingers are perfectly just right, if that makes any sense. The strips are actually thin, perhaps like witches' fingers. The tartar sauce partners well for both fries and fingers. Fries had minimal salt. Original recipe is slightly spicy but you can have them remove the spices. Place: Diner interior is overwhelming and beautiful. One table is inside a car! Decoration is literary everywhere including table tops. They also have a bar with pool tables, and a souvenir shop downstairs. Said shop also has a few kinky items. :p Service: It was exceptional! Waiting time was fair but the prominent factor would be the servers and supervisor's smiles. People should go here and ask them why they look so happy, because we need that kind of inspiration every now and then. Tips: Tax-inclusive...No service charge...Just pure smiles and good food. Only catch is how pricy the place is so bring a Metrodeal voucher once it's available.

Yelp
Most bars in Poblacion closes around 2am and Filling Station is one of the only few that runs for 24hours. Famed for its vintage diner setting and menu that caters from coffee to cocktails. It's no surprise that the pricing is not at par with the nearby establishments. There's also smoking area that fits around 10 tables.

Kayla B.

Yelp
I'm a 4th time traveler to the Philippines and stumbled upon this place with a group of friends. I was really shocked to come across a 50's esque restaurant that was open 24 hours. I ordered the chicken mango sandwich and instantly fell in love with my choice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone having a late night outing and need a good place to eat.

Yelp
Filling Station holds a lot of good memories for me. It's located along Burgos St. in the seedier side of Makati, but I'll always remember it as the place where our advertising barkada had breakfast after a booze-filled Christmas party at the nearby Bel-Air Soho Hotel, and as one of 2 pre-nup photo opp locations that Grace and I tapped. Filling Station serves hangover-friendly food. Large servings of pancakes, bacon, fish and chips, and other standard American diner fare, amidst replicas of 50s to 60s pop culture: DC superhero statues, Elvis records, Beatles press clippings. It's a smorgasbord of Americana amidst red-tinted lighting. It's like stepping into a time warp. No matter how seedy or grimy or noisy it is outside, it's always small-town diner fun inside.

Maan F.

Yelp
Been here last year, and it was kinda okay experience. We went here because of its instagrammable interior and ambiance. The price of their foods are a bit pricey, well, they are in Makati area and we're paying for the name & experience. The space is a bit tight for me because of all the standees and action figures. Over all, the experience is okay. But it doesn't meet the expectations as the socmed describes it.

Christina Z.

Yelp
James Dean. Elvis Presley. Jukeboxes. Gas stations and pool. The 50's was such a booming era that was brought to life in Filling Station. The place is beaming in red in the red light district of Makati. The checkered floors were a good touch as well making the place look authentic from the era. It's a good time travel place in the heart of a busy city. Filling Station's food is rather pricey than some of its counterparts. It's a toss between their Pancake Platter (P288) and Grandslam French Toast (P488) for me. It's hard to pick favourites with breakfast food. Bacon, ham, sausage links and pancakes are always a must-have. Their menu is varied. There are Tex-Mex, American, Spanish and Filipino. If you want to feel like you're a character in one of the Archie Comics, go for a Banana Split (P280) or Milkshake in Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry (P280). It'll feel like you're at Pop Tate's The Chok'lit Shoppe!

Mo M.

Yelp
Filling Station looks just about the home of an expat - collector - hobbyist - packrat that just happens to serve the best milkshakes in town and lets their customers use the pool table. It's filled with knickknacks from various eras past, top to bottom. It's reminiscent of American style diners (think Johnny Rockets) if it was set in the grungy red light district of Makati. The food is nothing special, as is most American fare. But you know what I would go back to this place for? Their milkshakes. Utterly worth the trip and the hassle of trying to find parking in one of the side streets leading to P.Burgos. Theyre made with real ice cream and top notch milk, as milkshakes are supposed to do. Just remembering the chocolate milkshake I had is enough for me start craving for them again. Definitely one for the books!

Nonito C.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to hang out in WillamsBurgos is Filling Station, which is overflowing with Americana and nostalgic memorabilia. In fact, every sqaure inch of this hip and fun vintage diner is plastered with anything remotely related to American vintage and pop culture. Coming into this diner is like traveling to the heydays of the diner culture in the US, where burgers and milkshakes are served in cute diners with jukeboxes and star spangled banners everywhere. That, or you feel like you just stepped into an attic that is filled with Pawnstars-worthy stuff. Though I generally stay away from the food because everything is ridiculously expensive (though I would get the burgers, the queso fondido and the nachos at times), my friends and I would spend hours in the pool room, where we play (or at least I attempt to play. I suck) billiards. The pool room, or what I call the Marilyn Suite is filled with all things Marilyn Monroe - a huge statue of the iconic skirt fluttering scene. The pool room is just a fun and naughty place where you could enjoy a beer while cueing, or to just chat with friends.

Mario D.

Yelp
Had a bad expirience in this place. Waited 50 minutes for my order. When i complained they told me it would take another 15 min. Paid for my beer and left no tip. I don't recommend this place

Beatrice C.

Yelp
Even before my late puberty hit, I remember one of my best dude friends taking me here with another dude friend to maximize on our gluttony. His dad had conveniently left a tab and little did he know that we would abuse it while he was out philandering at the red light district (evil laugh). Anyway, as we grew into our awkward emo stoner teen days, we would head here when my dude friends learned how to drive on midnight marauds. The food was so large in serving I felt fat finishing a whole portion plus a milkshake. The place is adorable and it's more like a display room for a collector's paraphernalia for everything Americana which is the Coca-Cola era. Think 50s Diner-style but two stories of it. It's a fun place too because it's right smack in the middle of the Red Light District and beside Hotel Bellagio, you see all types of people and all kinds of actions and going-ons. When I'm "dieting", I order their Taco Salad which puts the tiny platter of Pancake House to shame. It's bigger than my head and actually pretty good. My favorite though is their decadent milkshake which is mostly ice cream and cream blended into a frothy heaven. The waitresses serve you the excess milkshake in a canister. When I get more cash, I'll probably bring a date here just so we can get drunk amongst white men and feel liberated.

Jade D.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place for the ambiance. I'm always a fan of the American Diner set-up but this one takes it a level higher. They collect all things Americana -- from pop icons like Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley to motorcycle memorabilia, a gas pump, juke boxes, superheroes. It's like an edition of Picker or Pawnstars. I could spend hours just sitting here and enjoying the scenery. While their food is a bit on the expensive side, I think the burgers and the milkshakes are really worth it. The burgers are juicy and are pretty big. What I love more are the milkshakes, very thick! One order usually exceeds the tall glass and they give you an extra one so it can be shared. One downside to this place though, the parking is terrible. It's street parking or parking right in front of the restaurant, which is usually full especially at night. So prepare to park farther down the street and walk a bit.

Yelp
My brain categorized Filling Station under the lists of "awesome ambiance", "picture-worthy" & "meh food" Ambiance wise, Filling station is the best at it. It freaking nailed it. The restaurant is filled with retro items and memorabilias (which would like to get for my room please). It felt like I was in an American dinner. Every turn, I see something to tinker with - a rotary dial phone, a gas station pump, vinyl records... and the list goes on and on. There's was a lifesize statue of Elvis in there! I was pleased to see Spiderman up in the ceiling and Batman smack in the middle of the dinner, near at the billiard table. Marilyn Monroe is present as well. Food wise, can't say the same thing. The prices on the menu will burn a hole in your pocket... and to be honest, the chow is not worth it. Nothing special, really. The food is priced steep. It's disappointing that the awesome theme of the Filling Station didn't translate to their food. Such a waste of potential :(

Maronne C.

Yelp
The most adorable and kitschy 50s diner/bar in the metro. If you've always wanted to recreate one of Archie Comics' iconic covers set in Pop Tate's Chok'lit Shoppe, you'll definitely be able to do that at Filling Station. Aside from enjoying the ambiance of the perfectly (overly) decorated retro interiors and the nostalgic music, you'll also be able to play a game of billiards and grab some good pizza here! Filling Station's definitely one of my go tos for a quirky change of scenery, a nostalgia trip and some good vibes.

Camille J.

Yelp
I will never go back to this place again. If you will dine here, make sure that you check the bill because they might charge you for something you did not order. But this is a bit tricky because they do not give a proper invoice with the proper breakdown of orders. They also do not issue OR unless you requested for it. Good thing we did our own computation because they overbilled us by Php 600+. They are also overpriced. Their servings might be big but the quality and service are totally not worth what we paid for. We are UNHAPPY customers.

Kathlyn Y.

Yelp
Don't you sometimes wish that you could go back and relive certain years in history? I do and I just really love the 1950s! I just really love the music and people at this time. Sometimes I just really want to experience going to the diner and having a milkshake while listening to tunes being played from the jukebox! I also love the outfits that people wore! I just feel like during these years, people were very cheerful! I would actually love to go back to a time when all these were in place and in some way, I could! Anyone could! The Filling Station is a diner themed restaurant that's open for 24 hours! Even if there's just so much happening in terms of decor, I really like it! People may categorize it as clutter but I think that these are really cool! Vinyl records are stuck on the walls and ceiling as well as old coke signs, gas pump stalls, old movie posters, old bikes, old telephones, and etc.! The tables and couches are even designed like how you'd see them in the 50s! Not only is the place cool but the food is too. They have a lot of dishes on their menu and I really mean A LOT! The menu is pretty big! The serving is too! Every time I eat here, I order something different. And when I do, the portions are for at least two people. The food is good and mostly very American. If you're the type who's into this, you have to check this place out!
