I love their products, selection in store does not compare to online. Look for their fall specials and summer clearance, otherwise you'll be paying quite a bit for their products. Very expensive but their motto is "might as well have the best." It truly is one of the last stores that make durable clothes.

I was really looking forward to visiting the Filson store coming from U.K. and visited this afternoon. Lauren and her colleague were really helpful and helped us with different sizes for the jeans and the boots. She also recommended us with alterations with the jeans if we need too. Was a great visit and we bought 3 pieces today. Keep up the great work.

I was extremely excited to get my first Filson jacket, till I actually got it in hand. A relative was heading to Chicago for the weekend so I asked if they could grab a specific jacket for me from the Filson store. I made sure to confirm my measurements with my tailor so I knew the jacket should fit perfectly. My relative brought me the jacket and said the Filson staff ensured it could easily be returned online if there were any issues. Well, they were right, but they didn't say how much of a hassle it would be. The jacket was way too small and the measurements online did not match up with the actual product. I returned the jacket and said I wanted my money back, instead they sent me store credit. They said I could use the store credit and if I didn't like what I got I could have my original payment refunded. So, I tried again. The new jacket was WAY too big, itchy, and did not at all feel like the quality matched the price. If I'm paying $400-$500 for a jacket, it better fit properly and not need $100+ in alterations. So once again, I returned the jacket, only this time they said there would be no way to refund my original payment...which I was not okay with. After them stone walling me and saying they couldn't help at all, I opened a dispute with my CC and they removed the charge. End of the day, the clothes are not worth what they cost and their returns department is extremely difficult to deal with. I will not be shopping with them ever again.

Google
Amazing customer service from a gentleman that helped my mom and I buy for my husband without him there. The fellow helping us had great insight and helped a lot with sizing. Wonderful experience!

Google
Been to this location many times before! I have always had an amazing customer service experience. Today was far from the past. Very poor performance by the staff. Seemed to be the least bit interested if I spent a penny. When I spent a few I noted no change in what I received. Signage was left from a private event which made it seem like today(Sat), was a closed door private event. Saw many customers walk by and avoid the store prior to opening due to the miscommunication. I would have given a 2 but the cashier who rang me up placed me on the email list for future events or drops. The store was empty beside myself and had just opened. Disappointed, this is my go to for high quality tough wear clothing. I was excited to see the spring line but I will be hard pressed to come back. Might just stick to the stale internet shopping....

Filson's "Lifetime warranty" isn't really lifetime. It's "lifetime" only for the length of time that they deem it should last. Period. I am disappointed and must leave a negative review. My belt I assure you was cared for properly, along with my boots. I am fully aware of the care it needed and it received. A company as large as Filson should not be advertising its products as "lifetime" when the reality is quite different. They offered me a 25% discount. They can keep the discount, why would I invest in a product that is clearly inferior and a company that doesn't stand behind its warranty? Disappointed, Michael H.

Google
Very slow shipment and very long time for refund or exchange, bad attitude for service. Quality is not as good as they claimed

Google
Looking for for quality well made outdoor clothing? this is the place. Most items are made in USA but pricing is significantly more than other stores. As they say, "You get what you pay for". lol

Yelp
Filson in Naperville is the best. I have several Filson bags and love the quality of the bags. My first bag is over 10 years old and the strap broke. I brought the bag into the shop, and they looked at the bag, and sent me home with a new strap, and let me keep my old strap. Awesome customer service and really cool people. THANK YOU Filson Naperville.

Yelp
Top quality outdoor clothing, bags, hats and other hear are beautifully displayed in this showroom. Prices are high, but so is the quality. Today we came across some very reasonably priced sales items, including comfy flannel shirts and T's. I mentioned the way the store is designed because I fully appreciate the way they present their products in artistic displays. Even if you aren't in the market for woodsy gear, I highly recommend taking a look around and enjoying the presentation. The salespeople have always welcoming and helpful!

Yelp
This store is extremely cool. Clothes, gear and outerwear for men (and women looking for quality gear). I intend to be a customer one day because the materials and stitching is clearly high quality. The issue is the price. Look at the tags on their fleece button down shirts... OUCH. I'm just not able to spend over $100 on a shirt. But the store was packed so clearly some can. I hope the store is still around when I can afford high gear.

Yelp
First time there, looking around, 3 associates just 2 customers (us included), never got acknowledged, I believe because we were not dressed on brand. Anyways, never even got greeted, kept looking at the product (which is very nice), touching it, checking out the pants, and nothing from a customer service point of view. Very poor customer service, when I asked for help, the first associate blew me off, said he was busy. Then I spoke to the manager, Hunter, he said to me "We'll get to you, when we get to you." I was interested in seeing if they would have a leather shearling jacket, and after seeing the product I was very interested in their offering. Never been to Filson and due to the experience I just had, I will never go back. There's options out there. Horrible customer service. Been working retail for 15 years, 10 in management, I would not hire people like this. Do not recommend.

Yelp
They've got some pretty cool stuff here. Great location, friendly employees. I bought a nice flannel shirt for myself. I actually would have bought another one in another plaid pattern I loved but they didn't have my size which is odd because this place literally just opened the day before. I might try to order it on their website. If you're looking for some high quality, stylish rugged wear you should check this place out.

Yelp
Checked out the new store today and it did not disappoint. Everything in here smells so good. The products are built to last, you know like things used to be! Atmosphere is cozy and clean. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Sure, the prices for a shirt might be more than you're used to spending at Sears or the like but you can't beat the quality. Overall: will be doing some Christmas shopping here!

Yelp
Wool sweaters, flannel shirts, heavy duty canvas type overalls, pants, vests and luggage of the same heavy feel canvas material with leather straps and accents abound in this super rustic old fashioned and cozy retail space. Filson bills itself as an "Alaskan Outfitter", Which makes sense that it would be in the heart of downtown Naperville Illinois, it's essentially the last American frontier where a man has only his grit, his will and access to a canvas backpack that wouldn't even count as a day bag that will cost $350 in order to survive such a savage and unforgiving environment. Sweater vests $175, that were made of some type of material that was very abrasive which didn't inspire confidence it would be comfortable if you had to wear it while covering more ground than say, from your car to your front door. If you are seeking a fashion label or brand name to let people know you have more money than brains than by all means go hog wild in here. Nothing says I care more about what other people think of me than a $300 sweater that could easily be had for 10 times less the price at an outfitter like Bass Pro or Columbia and actually get used in a backcountry setting. If any of these clothes or accessories offered some kind of premium performance, like, idk if it was bulletproof fashionable body armor, than I could see why you might pay the premium prices. But the heavier duty vests and pants feel and flex like the same material used by Carhart who used to claim their materials were impenetrable to bear claws, suggesting survivability to a bear attack. If any Filson brand loyalist who wants to prove my review wrong and demonstrate why flannel shirts are worth over $100, I'd be happy to slather you in honey, tie you to a tree in bear country and see how well your Filson flannel shirt, rugged vest and overalls perform in actual wilderness survival situation. However in the harsh, unforgiving and unpredictable backcountry of Naperville Illinois, you're likely only going to prove that you have absolutely no idea what it really requires to be effectively outfitted for the outdoors. So if you're the type that likes to look like you shop at L.L. Bean or even Blaine's Farm N Fleet but are wanting to prove to people you can light even more money on fire and not ever miss it for the sake of achieving the same look, than Filson is the place for you!

Yelp
Ugh. Soooooo overpriced!! Unbelievably overpriced for the quality!! And I think Filson customers are suckers. I know this because I recently bought one of their high priced trendy too cool looking parkas. You know, so I can try to fit in with the current hipster trend towards that hunting sporting casual and yet so overpriced that you know I don't know hunting from schmunting and the sportiest thing I will be doing is scoping out some more trendsetters at the latest cool coffee shop where we will all be flexing in our finest overpriced latest trending gear. Pretending we are all kinds of hunter, outdoorsy intellectual types with excellent taste and not at all concerned about the cost, in fact we don't even remember what brands we're wearing! ( but please notice our labels!) So. The parka was not made in USA, had nice pockets, was unexceptional in every other respect. Was supposed to repel rain. While the water did bead up on the jacket, the lining right against my skin made me feel cold. Like chilled to the bone cold. I can't understand how this is meant to be worn in any type of damp weather. Definitely not worth the money or my closet space. So that's where my nightmare with Filson begins. I returned the jacket to the Naperville store as instructed by Filson customer service. The store clerk took the jacket receipts and all paperwork in the back room was gone for 10 minutes while I waited around. He finally came out and said he could not refund my purchase price it had to go back to the warehouse where theY would process the refund. It has been 4 weeks now and no credit has been refunded to credit card yet. Calling their customer service line is a nightmare. Be prepared for a very very long wait on that returns line! Finally got through tonight. Reps response was " oh look at that, someone forgot to push one little button here and that's why this little hiccup happened " " well let me see if it lets me click it , oops no. Wonder what's wrong?" Lol! What decade are they doing business in?? Filson, overpriced underperforming 0 value.

Yelp
The Filson online team told me an item I wanted had been discontinued, but they told me it was in stock at this location. I called Friday afternoon 2022.01.14 and Lauren was extremely friendly, helpful, and speedy in arranging an order to be shipped to me.

Terry H.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Unknowledgable sales staff. Tried to order an item and was promised a Friday delivery but the sales staff don't even know how to send a package to arrive on time. I might get it on Monday when I'm out of town instead. I like their products but the number of complaints documented on the internet show this company either is incompetent or doesn't give a damn. Shop elsewhere.
