Fin and Fern

As they say, some of the best surprises come unexpectedly. I took my wife to Fin and Fern on a whim for her birthday dinner. Made a reservation online for 7pm and was promptly seated when we arrived. Fin and Fern has a cozy atmosphere and a pleasant staff, Jodi from upstairs was great. I would suggest that if you are looking to make a reservation, make it before 6:30pm. Two of the dishes I was looking forward to ordering were already sold out before we could order our meal. Took a leap of faith on the warm beet salad thanks to the staffs feedback, it was probably the best beet salad I have ever had. The lobster ravioli was also delicious, I would absolutely order it again. Unfortunately, my experience was diminished when I was served a burnt crème brûlée. My wife’s dinner and dessert came out great, which is all that really matters. Overall a great evening and one not so great dessert. 4.5/5

WOW! This weekend’s pop up Asian night was FANTASTIC!! It was evident how much research, preparation, and intentionality went into each dish and sauce! Highlights included complimentary wonton chips with a sweet chili sauce to start, homemade pork dumplings, general tso’s chicken, topped with orange ginger crème brûlée! So grateful they’ll be open every other weekend til April! Excellent treat and evening experience especially in the depths of winter!

A really exceptional local spot with delicious and fresh food. I ordered the Basil Kush pizza which did not disappoint! It was cheesy and full of flavor with a touch of prosciutto. It was one of the better pizzas I’ve had. I also sampled the Halibut and it was incredible. Really truly spectacular! Fresh halibut lightly grilled with ginger and full of flavor. I also enjoyed a lovely Pear Martini that was well balanced and truly tasted of pears. All in all, we had a lovely dinner here and it seems like they rotate items on and off the menu while offering daily specials. Compliments to the house and chef!

We sat on the deck overlooking their courtyard-like garden, which was tucked in by teeming foliage and expansive awnings blocking the setting sun. The air was filled with the aroma of ocean spray and the intoxicating wood-fired scents coming from the kitchen. When we sat down at the table, a cold, olive green carafe of water was waiting for us. Salt and pepper sat in oyster shells along the inner edge of the table, waiting to be served with the miniature wooden spoon accompanying them. My husband ordered a bourbon-based cocktail, a Paper Plane, while I ordered a tequila-based smoky cocktail, the Mezcal Mule. The Paper Plane came served with the tiniest paper plane clipped to the glass with the tiniest clothespin. My Mezcal Mule, topped with chili powder and mixed with ginger beer, cucumber, and lime, tasted smoky and spicy met with cool and refreshing. For appetizers we ordered the crab artichoke dip and oysters. The crab was so fresh, and as a native Mainer who is quite seasoned in finding shells in a crab dishes especially, I am delighted to say there were none. It was also an unexpectedly enormous portion, with nearly an entire sliced baguette for dipping, which made my decision to order a salad easier. My husband enjoyed his oysters (I do not like them in general so I didn’t eat any) and helped to finish the crab and artichoke dip when he was done. For our entrees, I ordered the Summer Salad with grilled chicken, and my husband ordered the Seapig pizza. The summer salad came out with pickled blueberries, roasted almond slices, and small wedges of Brie cheese, topped with grilled chicken. It was the perfect complement to the aforementioned rich appetizer. The Seapig pizza— a wood-oven fired scallop and bacon pizza—was truly the most succulent pizza I’ve ever had. And THE CRUST. Oh my. It was so fresh and tender paired with just the right amount of crisp. The entire experience was truly overwhelming in the best way. Kudos to the chef(s) and bartender(s), along with the very busy front of the house staff for accommodating their guests in a timely and efficient manner, even though they had a full house. (Note: we were also 10 minutes late to our reservation, which I feared may have caused us to lose our spot.) In the past few years, many restaurants have lost their ambition to service customers with thoughtfulness and pride. It was so refreshing to have the experience of knowing the chefs cared about the products they turned out, and having a waitstaff that was diligent in ensuring the wholesomeness of their diners’ experiences. While I can’t speak more highly of the food and drinks we were served, having a devoted staff and dining in the most beautiful atmosphere is what made our time at Fin & Fern stand out. Thank you for giving us this experience!!

Tasty good food by the water. We had oysters, mussels and summer salad with grilled halibut. Small, cost place for a nice meal. Service was great. We paid $4 to park at the lot on the corner; there are few spaces on are not restricted/reserved.

We called for a reservation the day of and in spite of having a party of 17 coming that evening, they gave us a table upstairs with a beautiful view of the harbor. I believe we got the best table in the house, cozy atmosphere, quiet and next to the bar. Jodi was very personable and funny. It was an unexpected stolen moment in Stonington.

Beautiful spot for a delicious meal. We had the night’s special, braised short ribs, and the swordfish option. The salad was amazing, and we finished with the blueberry tart (of course). Entire meal was outstanding.

Excellent on all counts. I have never had anything here that I didn't enjoy. I treat myself to a meal here whenever I am on the island.

Super good dishes in an adorable setting both inside and outside. Very friendly service. We LOVED the crab and lobster raviolis.

This is a great spot in Stonington and a staple of all of our trips to Deer Isle / Stonington. My gf knows the area best so planned everything but we also had my parents, grandparents and sister. The wedge salad was GREAT! Also, get the seafood chowder. Just do it. I got the ravioli with marinara sauce upon hearing that the Alfredo sauce was overpowering on the ravioli. I thought it was good, not great. Stepmom got the shell pasta special. Good but nothing to write home about. Dad got the soy/ginger halibut on top of mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. THIS was the best entree of the night. Ambiance: I've sat outside before which I have to say is THE BEST, if your timing/weather works. Of note... they do have blankets!!! Inside is great too but not quite as wonderful. Another nice touch is the salt and pepper in the oyster shells. Service: Top class.

It is a very cute restaurant and it is right on the water. The staff were very friendly and observant of your needs. That's where things go down hill. The food was really bad if you don't get seafood. We had a large party of ten. Five got seafood and rated it a 4 out of 5. The others had other things and they weren't great. 4 bought a hanger steak special. Hanger steak is a really tough cut and you have to be skilled to make a good dish out of it which they had no idea how. One of us asked for well done and theirs was rarer than the people who order medium rare. When the plates made it to us the food was just warm. I would give them a pass on that as we had a party of ten but with how bad the non seafood plates were; it just stands out as a bigger failure. The other person had Alfredo and thought it was just OK. They are not a cheap restaurant either. So for the cost you would hope they would do better. I think the waitress knew as well when she asked if any of us wanted boxes and when we said know she had a look of not surprised.

Solid restaurant on Deer Isle. Service was good. We made our reservation around 3 hours before dinner and got a table in the garden which was nice. They also offered blankets if you are cold. The garden was very pretty and was nice to sit in. I thought the food was very comforting. If you go you have to order the crab cakes as they are to die for.

Fin & Fern is the best fine dining on the island. This is our second time dining here. I ordered the seafood scampi. My husband ordered the lobster. If you come to Stonington, you must try the lobster. Stonington is thee top port in lobster fishing in all of Maine and New England - fresh caught daily by local lobstermen. Fin & Fern is located right on the ocean. The view is gorgeous. The restaurant is cozy with limited indoor seating but provides outdoor seating when the weather is nice. The one down side is there is no parking. Luckily our vacation home is located within short walking distance, however, walking back up the hill with a belly full of delicious food and wine wasn't the best part of our experience. Another plus is Fin & Fern are open on Sundays when most fine dining on the island - and Blue Hill peninsula - are closed.

The food here is very good. The flavors were incredible and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. My only gripe was with the ambiance of the upstairs dining room. It felt like a complete afterthought to the rest of the restaurant and honestly felt more like a back office of the restaurant than a dining area. Next time, I would only sit downstairs or in the garden.

Finn & Fern is set in downtown Stonington on the hillside near the isle au Hau boat dock. We made a reservation for 3 on a Sunday night the day beforehand. I highly recommend making one in advance, as they only had dinner time availability in the garden area. They have 4 areas to choose from: Main dining, upstairs, garden, and deck. Note: parking can be pretty overwhelmed in the evening so arrive a-little early for that. We were seated immediately in the garden, and it was perfect! I love that they provide you seat cushions for the benches, as well as blankets if you get too cold outside. Our server, Natalie, was very friendly, informative, and efficient. The crab cake appetizer was delicious, and the glazed halibut was the star of the show in my opinion. Here is where we had trouble: We ordered the ribeye for $37 medium-rare, came out definitely medium-well to well. Was suppose to have mashed potatoes as a substitute and came with fries. We were hesitant about sending it back, but for $37 and about a 45 minute wait for food we wanted it right. It came back, and was way undercooked/cold in the center. Natalie our server was very apologetic and understanding. We decided not to wait for another one and removed it off the tab. The other 3 meals we had were excellent, and the view was gorgeous. It's unfortunate the rib-eye caused one of our guests to go un-fed for the evening. I would still love to dine with them again, as the service (thanks to Natalie) was great.

Excellent food with good attention to detail. We first went to Fin & Fern in April and had the best Clam Chowder and Cesar Salad with bacon that I've ever had. The pizza is also excellent. I've had 4 types of pizza here and every one has been great. The dough is crispy in the outside and soft and cheery on the inside with really good flavor. The toppings are top notch, and the combinations interesting. My biggest complaint is that the last 2 times that I've been, the Cesar salad and clam chowder have not been on the menu. I've tried the haddock chowder and the summer salad, and while both are good, they do not compare. I so hope to see them in the menu again soon! Also the restaurant is super cute inside. Cozy upscale is what I'd call it, and the wait staff has always been friendly and attentive. Highly Recommended!

Excellent dinner and service across the board. It was a busy place on a June Sunday evening, so very happy we made reservations. We were seated in the small upstairs dining room that has perhaps 4 tables and a small bar that seats 4-5. It was very peaceful there with a nice view overlooking the harbor. Service by Jody was spot on and our food delivery was nicely spaced out without being rushed. We started with the crab cakes - a nice appetizer for 2 to split but you can order it as a meal portion also. They were perfectly done - crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The summer salad was awesome with crisp greens, pickled blueberries, toasted almonds, Brie, cucumbers and tomatoes - plenty for 2 to share. Our two entrees were again delicious - a huge slab of grilled halibut with a soy ginger sauce on mashed potatoes and veggies and the lobster and crab ravioli in a pesto Alfredo sauce (a little heavy on the sauce). We didn't have the pizza, but they looked good. And no room for dessert. Cocktails were good as was the Maine white wine (surprisingly on the dry side that went well with the halibut). Just wishing we had more time during our visit to go again!

Absolute BEST restaurant in Stonington, ME. We wish we had found it sooner. A true island treasure.

We had a delightful experience dining at Fin & Fern. We were seated in the garden area at night which had beautiful lighting and a harbor view. The setting feels upscale yet laid back. The staff members are kind and accommodating, and the food and drinks were delicious and well presented. We highly recommend this restaurant. Note: I noticed other reviews that commented on the lack of parking. There is a lack of parking directly at the building due to how the downtown area is set up. However, there is lots of street parking on Main Street and public parking at the little park down the next side street. We were able to park down the road and got there with a very short walk which was much enjoyed as we were able to see many beautiful homes and the harbor along the way.

Absolutely lovely in every possible way from the delicious food, charming ambiance, and wonderful service. As other reviewers have said, the halibut is to die for! Spectacular. Just go ahead and order it; you'll be so happy you did. My husband had the fish and chips and it was delightfully crispy: chef's kiss! My parents split a pizza and that was also delectable. Wine list was quality; we had a bottle of Sancerre. The four of us shared a carrot cake for dessert and it was moist and full of flavor. Beautiful restaurant and we will be returning on our next trip back.

I was really looking forward to eating here, but my expectations might have been a bit too high. Overall, the food was good, but definitely not outstanding to me. I went off previous reviews and ordered halibut and the seafood spaghetti. The halibut was cooked a bit too dry. Both dishes were large in size but average in taste. I just can't really pinpoint anything about the dishes that truly stood out. And for that, I don't particularly find the food here worth the $$$. I also did order raw oysters which were pretty delightful - it was nice to have a taste of some east coast oysters finally. Besides that, the patio seating here is very well-decorated and inviting, and the wait staff was very prompt and kind.

Our friends who live in Deer Isle brought us here for dinner as it's one of their favorite places. We knew it'd be good but the food and atmosphere were really outstanding. Being originally from NH and now visiting from the Philadelphia area, I had a serious jones for local seafood, so I opted for the Lobster Roll. It was a real treat, packed with a copious amount of wonderful local lobster. Ideally seasoned, it literally melted in my mouth. Fabulous! My wife loved the Seafood Pasta, and being 100% Italian, that's saying something. For dessert we shared the Whoopie Pie. I make these all the time and have tried various recipes, and I have to say theirs was the best I've ever had (other than my latest batch). The cake is very moist with a great chocolate taste and the filling has a subtle cream-cheese flavor. This is an incredible restaurant, so we weren't surprised to discover that they ran out of certain dishes by the time we ordered at 6:30 pm.

Definitely the best restaurant on the island!! In fact, i would say it is my favorite restaurant anywhere! The ambiance at Fin and Fern is wonderful; friendly people work there and they seem to genuinely care about the satisfaction of their customers. Since it is a relatively small place, it is crucial to have a reservation, particularly in the summer. While they serve pizza, pasta, meat, and seafood dishes, it is the halibut that is so delicious that one yearns for it between visits. Perfectly cooked, it is served with shredded vegetables atop mashed potatoes. A wonderful sauce, made with ginger and soy sauce , completes the dish. Additionally, fish and chips, scallops, and the lobster ravioli all receive rave reviews from friends and family we have dined with. Situated by the water in Stonington, Fin and Fern is in a lovely location. Patrons can choose to eat outside in the garden or on the porch, upstairs in the restaurant, or downstairs in the main dining room. The main dining room or the porch are our favorite spots. One of the perks of eating in the main dining room, though, is that the scrumptious desserts are in constant view; we heartily recommend the giant whoopee pies or the Creme brûlée.

Went for dinner as we were exploring the region. First off. There's no useful parking. Had to pay up the hill and walk down. Nice day for a walk but it was a nuisance to have to pay. Wonderful server Jesse. Seemed like she was hustling. Wonderful location with views of the docks from the outdoor seating. Nice looking place. Wife got seafood ravioli in pesto. She loved the ravioli but there was literally over a cup of pesto sauce that the ravioli were drowned in. Not what was expected so she pulled them out and ate them outside the soup. The sauce was excellent. Just tons of it. I got seafood scampi and asked to add clams to it, menu says pasta is homemade so I was excited. The dish was terrible. Pasta was way over cooked and doughy. Literally 3 mussels 2 scallops and the 4 clams they added for $12. Wow. But the worst was that the sauce was so acidic. Every bite was a lemon doughball. Oh well. Ravioli was at least good. Would not go back.

This place was very nice for our family dinner! I really enjoyed the shell pasta special and my husband's halibut was very tasty as well. Nice ambience and view. Service was a little slow and lacking and we had to ask for certain things multiple times and eventually got tired of waiting for the bill and went to pay at the front desk. Would come back though for sure!

We failed to get a photo of our incredible meal after a day of traveling. Leslie was so accommodating of rearranging our reservation for our group of six. We had the best table in the place! Mariah was a fabulous server with great attention to our big group. All of the dishes were out of this world, notably the fish and chips and seared scallops (special). Amazing location and absolutely delicious food! We enjoyed multiple meals here with friends while vacationing in coastal Maine. The menu is seasonal and you can't go wrong with any choice, but I highly recommend getting a pizza and another appetizer or two and split with your table in addition to your individual entree. Don't forget a whoopie pie to go!

For us to take home dessert should tell you right away that something is up with his place! Starting with the end of dinner, the desserts were exceptional--had chocolate cake with with Baileys Lacore frosting And a blueberry crumble topped with ice cream. For dinner we had the main halibut and the seafood marinara with spinach pasta. A wonderful meal, a great location, and wonderful service by all. Highly recommend!

Nice menu selections. Clam chowder to squash/asparagus risotto. Delightful setting and reasonable prices. Worth it!

A great restaurant experience! The Halibut is always perfect, thick and fresh, cooked to perfection! Homemade pasta!! Fabulous deserts! Awesome pizza! And that's only the beginning of the great menu choices!

LOVE this little restaurant! I've never been disappointed with the food or the service. The pasta dishes are incredible (house made pasta). It's a popular spot during tourist season so be sure to book reservations ahead of time.

We had a wonderful dinner last night. Wonderful portion sizes. The food was perfectly cooked. We had a beautiful view of the harbor from the second floor. Jody was a delight as a server as she knew my friends and it made it a fun time. The desserts were incredible. We look forward to our next visit.

Driving through Stonington, and did not get into this restaurant as a walk-in and did not want to wait. It's encouraging that they were so busy, and the smell was pure Italian heaven. I'm writing this review, however, because I found their "fresh marinara sauce" and homemade fresh pasta in the local Maine section at Tradewinds in Blue Hill. Honestly, we both agreed it was the most delicious marinara sauce from a jar we've ever had. It's so fresh tasting and still needs refrigeration as it's so damn fresh (did I say fresh!) and sweet. Paired well with some local fennel sausage ( @colvardsausages). These products were so delicious that I will definitely try to eat in person at Fin&Fern next year.

We went for an early dinner at the end of the season. Small and close tables with a nice view. Suggest reservations do to limited seating. Fish and chips was fantastic - using Strong brewery, risotto was barely warm and Parmesan crisp was hard and rubbery, oysters presented traditionally, pizza and clam chowder was also nicely done. Desserts are really good- don't skip out! Apple tart and a mixed berry tart yum! Wait staff was darling and did a great job!!

If you are in Stonington, this has to be near the top of your list. This is similar to Portland Maine Grade A type of cuisine. Despite being short staffed on a really busy night, they made our experience very pleasurable. Go, go, go!

My husband & I just closed on a home in Stonington. As a retired classically French trained chef who studied & worked in Paris & NYC, I highly recommend this restaurant. The cozy, friendly ambiance, attentive wait staff and delicious, fresh food were very much appreciated. My husband noticed that our local grocery store in Burnt Cove carries their fresh pasta, which I will definitely be purchasing! We are very grateful to have been treated so warmly by the chef/owner who was very kind to come greet us. Stonington is a truly welcoming community. (Not pictured: the clam chowder was superb as were the crab cakes).

It is undoubtedly hard to run a restaurant operation during the uncertainty presented by COVID and the survivors of this in the hospitality industry are likely going to become important players. Fun & Fern in Stonington, Maine takes advantage of the fabulous seafood and other produce to implement a varied menu with something for everyone at their location close to the water. The dishes were very good and I have dined their on a couple of occasions. Whilst I would recommend the restaurant I have a couple of pieces of feedback pertaining to my particular experience to pass on; Firstly the wine and cocktail list could use a review. Some mow wine spectator rated wines perhaps or some cocktails using local botanicals - gin & tonic etc. Also the evening I dined there, of the half dozen diners half ordered fish & chips where the fish was barely warm and the chips were nearly cold. We did not complain but I do feel the challenge for restaurants is going to be when COVID lifts I would anticipate diners not taking any excuses for poor dishes or service and will vote immediately with their wallets.

This was my first visit to Fin & Fern and I cannot wait to go back. This is the latest arrival to a small island with some culinary heavy hitters like Aragosta and Acadia House Provisions. I had high expectations and they were more than met. The setting is phenomenal with outdoor sitting during Covid-19 plus indoor seating with a wonderful view of the water and lobster boats. I had some Long Cove oysters and a beet and goat cheese salad. Those are always safe bets and they were both delicious. I had the special which was a pasta with lobster and shrimp. They do everything well but the pasta is a standout. The atmosphere was cozy and charming and the service was pitch perfect. Another must for any visit to Deer Isle.

This is 2nd time I've been to Fin & Fern. In this time of Covid, it's really great to be able to sit outside and enjoy the Stonington Working Dock. The food was fabulous and I have to recommend the Key Lime Pie for Desert. Their wine list is small but offers good bottles. I can't wait to be back here next year.

This restaurant is fine but not great. Definitely mediocre for the price point. The chicken wings were the best thing we had! Everything else was just ok. I am mostly disappointed in how much hard batter was on the fish and chips, the lack of flavor in the Alfredo sauce and a ribeye ordered medium that was well done. Since there aren't many options in the area it would be a fine choice but just don't expect anything that will knock your socks off.

We were taking the ferry to Isle au Haut and wanted to get lunch somewhere close by. Fin and Fern definitely fit the bill, just a short walk from the ferry office. We took a table overlooking the garden and harbor and perused the menu. Courtney took care of us for lunch and she was pretty great, full of information and really welcoming. They only had two beers on tap but they were both local. My husband's first choice was gone so we both got a pint of Rock Harbor Storm Surge. It was a pretty tasty IPA. Husband had a bowl of the chowder and a lobster roll. I had the house salad with beets and the bucatini carbonara. Daughter had a cheese burger and fries. It was pretty cool watching the chef go out to the garden and pick some fresh herbs for my husband's chowder - it doesn't get more local than that. My husband loved his chowder and lobster. My salad was outstanding and the pasta was pretty good too. I'm not sure about my daughter's burger but she inhaled it with no complaints. We got a couple of desserts to go to take on the ferry and the blueberry tart was really good but the carrot cake was outstanding! For a restaurant that was only open 2 weeks I think they did a bang-up job.

Bumpy start, reservation lost, waited 15 min to be greeted and had to walk into restaurant to find someone, wait staff ignored us. Argh. But it all turned around when we were served. Piping hot dishes, halibut and skirt steak. Cooked to absolute perfection. Servings generous. Meals were beautifully presented and delicious. Will definitely return. Place is packed, make a reservation.

This chef knows his stuff, and understands the restaurant business. His pizza was worth the 40 minute drive from Blue Hill., which we did twice in the same week we were in Maine. I mean where else are you going to get lobster pizza where you see the lobster boats on your way in to the restaurant? The dough is puffy, so if you are looking for a thin crisp dough, this won't be your thing, but for this style of pizza it's the real deal. The apps and mains were crowd pleasers.. not show stoppers but solid good food. Blueberry pie was good.

Took the family for an early (5pm) dinner on a Friday night. Everything was fantastic! Cocktails and Apps for the parents were both A+. The kids had pasta and pizza and the pizza was praised as "the best ever". The adults ordered two specials; the Burger + a seafood fettuccine. The burger which was loaded with caramelized onions, bacon, cheese, and enough fries for the entire table to share. It was awesome! The seafood pasta was packed with fresh scallops and loaded with flavor. We ate everything they served. The service was top of the line. The head chef made the rounds checking on each table. Real classy. No wonder the place was filled up with hungry locals by the time we left. I can't wait to go back. TIP: make a reservation!

Had a post wedding rehearsal here and all was fabulous! Salads, Pizzas, Tarts in a comfortable back yard setting. Came back the evening before my departure especially for their wonderful Beet Salad! My friend opted for a special offered, Seafood Pot Pie that she said was amazing!~

My favorite place on Island with the best crab cakes and halibut around, prices are good and wine pouring is generous. Chef Andy has a wonderful menu !!

A fabulous restaurant!! Welcome to Deer Isle folks!! This is a classic restaurant redone with excellent food, ambiance and delightful service. Relax and slow down as you enjoy the beautiful old architecture. We enjoyed a refreshing cocktail as we waited for our appetizers of white wine garlic mussels (yum) with tasty garlic toast!! And a Caesar salad with marinated white anchovies ( make sure you request them to be included) and home made croutons. We then enjoyed the fresh halibut - excellent!! A generous portion of perfectly cooked fish on a bed of smashed potatoes and julienne carrots with fresh green beans and a light Asian flavor. This restaurant is busy but the gals make sure to check on you as often as possible. We were not going to have desert but indulged in the chocolate raspberry tart. Superb- not too sweet, not to bitter just the right amount of chocolate flavors. Really a lovely desert. I was going to take photos but honestly the meal was too delicious to stop and photograph it. 3 tips- slow down and enjoy this delightful new restaurant and it's lovely staff , call ahead they may stop seating earlier than posted due to large parties and if you're in one of these large parties split the check at home or alert your server before the meal is over. Torturing the waitstaff is unacceptable and inconsiderate to other diners. Cheers! I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Our first time here- we were delighted to be seated at the corner table overlooking the water- the seat is a 7 The waitress also a 7 was prompt, polite, professional and very punctual The food- crab cakes for starters- salad for my wife and we shared the awesome spaghetti and topped it off with the Cream Brûlée - A 7 A nice visit with Leslie the manager to see how everything was on our visit- she is a native Deer Isle resident and obviously very fond of the business and is very interested in feedback on what her customers like or do not like- while they are dining - - - this type interaction with your customers is hard to rate but it is more than 7 When you total up all the good- - - subtract all the bad ( which are none) Then Fin & Fern and Leslie and her team rate a 7 on the Yelp scale of 1-5 We look forward to our next visit Thank you so much fora very enjoyable - very relaxing dining experience Dale & Linda B

What can I say that hasn't been said. This place, through Andy's determination and his understanding of what people in this community want, is a gem. Everything is delicious. It's very popular so make your reservations early.

Excellent local food at great prices! Lobster, fish, crab and more. They also serve great desserts such as chocolate raspberry tart. There is a choice of indoor or outdoor seating (overlooking the bay). Great service. We would definitely go here again if we are in the area.

Great scenic views down by the harbor right by the Isle au Haut boat dock. Just opened July 2019. Bar will open soon meanwhile you can get classic cocktails wine and beer on the porch while you wait for your table. No reservations and only about a dozen tables inside so expect a bit of a wait. Really good food! Calamari salad was extraordinary with warm squid, cool watermelon, peanuts, radish, lettuce, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in a sweet and tangy sauce. Halibut was perfectly cooked with mashed potatoes, asparagus and, shredded summer squash "Zoodles" with a lovely thin sauce Hanger steak was tender and delicious with a great beef sauce. I suggest get mashed rather than fried potatoes if you like but the fries were excellent. Mussels were the best we have had all month.They have a choice of 3 styles. Pastas are homemade and excellent in every way. Only drawbacks were the place was chilly this evening and the noise level was very high. Service was slow but friendly. Wear a sweater but come.

We loved it here! The food! The servers! The atmosphere! My partner and I each had the halibut. It was possibly the best halibut I've ever had.

Found this little gem for a family meal during or vacation. We ended up eating there twice for dinner. The Fried Haddock will not disappoint. Don't forget to take home a whopper pie!!

Very nice place. Great drinks. Menu had some out of the ordinary selections and they were excellent. Very friendly staff. Two thumbs way up
