One night it not enough. Excellent dinner and breakfast hosted by the charming Buenvino owners. It is like staying at a friends' fabulous country estate... the walks around the property a the region is a must to explore... could not recommend it more.

The owners. The breakfasts and dinners. The location The home. All deserve long 5 star reviews. Suffice it to say that a stay at Buenvino is memorable and enjoyable in every way. My wife and I loved everything about this place, including the two sweet dogs and the challenging mountain hikes to the lovely nearby towns.

This place came strongly recommended by friends: we went there with wife and our little baby for the weekend. just a little more than 1h drive from Sevilla, you enter the English countryside. ||This country house ran by the Chesterton family is a hidden jewel in the Andalusian dehesa. ||The hosts are the most friendly people you can dream of, Jeanie's and Charlie's cuisine is a great fusion of flavours and styles, a tastebuds adventure that will gently swing you between Great Britain and Andalusia. The villa itself is a treasure chest filled with mementos from other times and places, it's like taking a trip back in time. ||Just book the place and see. ||Do it.

This was booked as part of a walking holiday, and we were due to stay just 2 nights before moving on. The stunning house looks like it has evolved over centuries, but was actually built by the family less than 40 years ago. The rooms were suites, with sitting area / child's room and up to date en-suites They were very comfortable, as was the rest of the house. The large orangery with spectacular views, the sitting room with large open log fire, and the outside sitting areas were all special. The Covid-19 'shut down' came on our first day, which meant we couldn't travel on. Sam and Jeannie & Family couldn't have been more helpful, agreeing to us staying on for another 3 days until our rearranged flight, despite the pressure to close. The hospitality was exceptional. The food was the best gourmet, and would have been reason enough alone to justify the stay. (If you know of Ballymaloe, think of it as it was in the early years, and to my mind when it was at its best). We really felt looked after when everyone else from the travel and insurance companies had abandoned us. We are determined to return, but this time will book directly with Buenvino, as there were plenty of walks, of varying difficulty, that could be taken from the house, and you would not get a better place to stay.

Very nice stay at the Finca Buenvino. Beautiful home and lovely property just outside of Aracena. Hosts were very accommodating and rooms were great. Best of all were the meals. The host’s son , a chef, provided great tasting meals. This was a great experience.

The other reviews have done complete justice to this slice of Heaven . In a country swamped with tourists , escape to the mountains, stay as long as you can possibly manage (and promise yourself to come back so you can bare to leave!). Everything is perfection- beds, linen, huge bathrooms, the scenery, bookshelves piled with books, great wine, exquisite food, oh the tapas!!and dogs to go on walks with you. The family , Sam, Jago, Charlie a great Cook, and the brilliant cook Jeannie, (who has her own published cookbook for sale ) are charming beyond belief. They are the icing on the cake! |Oh my! This is a reason to return to Spain!

We found the Finca in a guide book for Andalucia hotels and booked direct. It was like being a guest in someone’s house, who looked after you well and said “take us as you find us”. It is a large property with an infinity pool. It must be a lot of work to look after and not for those who want everything to be new and spotless.||Our room was spacious, with a large bed, terrace with sun loungers and a shower room (for our exclusive use) across the landing.||Charlie was a charming host, looked after us very well. We had dinner both evenings with four other guests at the same table. We thoroughly enjoyed this aspect of our stay. The food was flavoursome with local ingredients and good wine.||Breakfast was again a communal affair, of a good standard, with homemade bread and marmalade.||It is in a lovely setting and ideal for those who like to be outdoors walking and cycling. Charlie was helpful in suggesting local walks.

One of the loveliest places you'll ever stay. Clear, starry skies. Views for miles. English style meets Andalucian chill. Incredible food and the chance to meet a special and welcoming family. A rare treat.
