How to Tour a Coffee Plantation in Panama in 2025

"I saw that Finca Casanga charges $35 USD per person for a plantation tour; the listed contact is +507-6990-0651 and the tour page is buypanamacoffee.com/tours." - Matthew Kepnes

Since it's off-season right now, we were lucky to get a "private tour." You get a great insight into all steps of coffee production. From picking the fruit to the roasted coffee bean, you get to carry out each step yourself. Enrique was very friendly and explained everything in a very understandable way. At the end, several different methods of preparing coffee were tested and we even got to taste the famous Geisha coffee. Thanks for the great insight into the world of coffee.

Our coffee farm tour at Finca Casanga was exceptional! Very educational as they allowed us to participate in every aspect of the coffee making process. The coffee was flavorful and delicious!

Wonderful tour. Our guide Enrique educated us on how premium coffee is produced from plant to cup. You can't go wrong with this tour.

We did this coffee farm tour as a couple and absolutely loved it. It was very educational and a lot of fun at the same time. Everything was explained clearly and in great detail, and the guide really took the time to answer questions. We especially enjoyed the hands-on parts, like roasting the coffee ourselves. We learned a lot about Panama’s coffee culture, and the coffee tasting at the end was excellent. The small group size made the experience even better. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Boquete

This was an amazing experience! Enrique was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and we learned about all aspects of a small coffee farm operation.. This is perfect for family groups and, as an educator, I consider it a great learning experience for all ages. The tour is hands on and we highly recommend touring Finca Casanga!

Thank you Enrique and Dany! The tour exceeded all expectations, the team is experienced and takes the time to explain all details about how a plantation operates. They have adapted their finca to allow the visitors ‘help’ on different phases of the process and only this made the experience unique, you get to ‘work’ a bit the beans. The garden is host of colibris, if you get to see them it’s magical. The tasting after the visit with different coffee machines allows you to understand how even the same beans might not taste the same at home. Must do! Enjoy!

We did the coffee tour at Finca Casagna Farm this morning with Enrique and it was amazing. He explained everything really clearly, kept it fun (he’s genuinely funny), and made it super hands-on the whole way through. You can tell he knows his stuff and loves what he does. Highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area — a perfect morning experience!

My wife and I had an amazing time on this coffee tour. I don't think there is a coffee question our guide, Enrique couldn't have answered! It was fun to experience how coffee is made from plant to cup, and the tasting at the end was the icing on top! Also, Enrique makes a mean banana bread. We went home with a newfound appreciation for the bean of the gods.
