Finca Hotel El Zorzal

I stayed at El Zarzal in Salento for three nights and paid around $80 USD total, including breakfast. For that price, the value and service were excellent. Breakfast is freshly prepared and brought to your table. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. They have plenty of on-site parking space, which makes it very convenient if you are traveling by car. There is coffee available at any time, beautiful terraces to relax on, and even hammocks where you can unwind. The room was not large, but perfectly comfortable. It has a large window, a good shower with hot water, and daily housekeeping. Everything was clean and well maintained. The location is ideal: right at the entrance of town, quiet and peaceful, yet only 5–10 minutes walking distance to the main plaza and church. You get the convenience without the noise. Overall, a very pleasant stay with great service and excellent value for the price. I would definitely recommend this place.

The facility and room were clean, quaint, & decent. The staff was generous, and really set up the jacuzzi nicely with candles around the sides and colored lights.|We ate in the resto for breakfast and a couple other meals. The food was always good and generous.|Note that this is a hostel, not a hotel, so it's not fancy, but the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Having come from a place with no hot water, we enjoyed the hot shower there!|The gardens are lovely!|No screens on the windows, so take your insect repellent. Also, all the things that may be "included" such as the airport shuttle and the jacuzzi must be paid for separately. But everything is so cheap in Colombia, you can afford it!|One defect was the poorly working room lock, which pointed to lack of management oversight. But it DID lock and with the security gate to the property, and the watchdog, we never felt unsafe.

A perfect stay at El Zorzal! The location was perfect for me (a solo traveler with a heavy backpack), as it's one block away from the bus terminal, and a 5-15 min walk from Salento's main square and streets. At the same time, the place is somehow 'apart' and is super quiet and green. The accommodations are modest but clean, pretty, and very well thought out (hangers, mirror, convenient curtains and shelves, etc.). The reception and breakfast area are just lovely, with a large, beautiful veranda looking out onto an amazing green garden with trees, flowers, and birds. Breakfast was abundant, varied and delicious, and last but not least, Mauret and Carmen were wonderful hosts. I really hope to come back someday!

Wonderful peaceful hostel with tasty breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely garden and terrace. The hot shower feels amazing, and the location is perfect—right by the bus terminal and close to the city center. Highly recommended!

It’s not at the center, but Salento a very small town so is very near to towncenter at the same time it’s only a minute from bus terminal, if you have heavy bag, this is a great lication for you. Room is clean, nice to have windows but bed is not comfortable enough. Staffs are so kind, breakfast is good and I loved coffee.

Really good value and service that is quiet and peaceful. Good breakfast. It is located near the bus station, which is very convenient instead of carrying backpack or luggage uphill into the center.

Our stay was perfect in our room with a beautiful view from the balcony. The staff members were so nice, helpful and passionate (the reception, the kitchen and the cleaning members). I recommend this hotel to all future visitors who want to have a quiet and relaxing time in Salento. You can walk to downtown ( less than 10 minutes) and enjoy all local restaurants around. A big advantage is that the bus terminal is just in front of the hotel.

It was the best accomodation we could find in Salento! Next to the bus station, everything was really clean. And the best part was the service, they cared a lot about us. I can recommend this place to everyone!
