Really good value and service that is quiet and peaceful. Good breakfast. It is located near the bus station, which is very convenient instead of carrying backpack or luggage uphill into the center.

It was the best accomodation we could find in Salento! Next to the bus station, everything was really clean. And the best part was the service, they cared a lot about us. I can recommend this place to everyone!

Our stay was perfect in our room with a beautiful view from the balcony. The staff members were so nice, helpful and passionate (the reception, the kitchen and the cleaning members). I recommend this hotel to all future visitors who want to have a quiet and relaxing time in Salento. You can walk to downtown ( less than 10 minutes) and enjoy all local restaurants around. A big advantage is that the bus terminal is just in front of the hotel.

The facility and room were clean, quaint, & decent. The staff was generous, and really set up the jacuzzi nicely with candles around the sides and colored lights.|We ate in the resto for breakfast and a couple other meals. The food was always good and generous.|Note that this is a hostel, not a hotel, so it's not fancy, but the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Having come from a place with no hot water, we enjoyed the hot shower there!|The gardens are lovely!|No screens on the windows, so take your insect repellent. Also, all the things that may be "included" such as the airport shuttle and the jacuzzi must be paid for separately. But everything is so cheap in Colombia, you can afford it!|One defect was the poorly working room lock, which pointed to lack of management oversight. But it DID lock and with the security gate to the property, and the watchdog, we never felt unsafe.

Black mould stemming from damp and lack of ventilation. No power sockets. Jacuzzi is advertised but there is an extra charge of £20 per night, nearly double the price of the advertised room stay. We're booked for 2 nights and had to leave after the first morning

I had a very nice stay in El Zorzal, the family running the business is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is rich and nutritious and the location is just perfect. It is not close to the Paroquia and all the buzz noise of the main square but it is close enough to reach the center walking for 7-8 minutes. I would definitely stay there again!!!

We stayed here for three nights and had a private room, the room was a tad small but no big deal. Check-in was great as the guy was very helpful and always smiling, he also served us our included breakfast. The garden at the back of the hostal is very soothing with lots of plants which attract birds, a nice area to have breakfast as well as a nightcap. The hostal is a easy 10 minute walk to center of salento and across the street from the bus stop. We paid 90000 pesos a night which included breakfast. Even though the hostel is on the road, the road is very quiet in the evenings and we were not disturbed by vehicles.

The beds and pillows at the hotel are rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. The only relief from the uncomfortable bed is the dog kennel blankets provided. The room featured a lack of ventilation and an abundance of black mold growth. Everything (bed, headboard, pillows, bathroom, etc.) smells like mold and I'm not a person that's sensitive to mold at all. The electric plugs are low quality and very old, so your devices won't charge without frequent adjustments and disconnects. The plumbing is terrible and only one hot water fixture can be used at a time in the entire building, making showering a freezing cold (90% of the time), unpleasant, and unpredictable experience . Room includes a non-functioning safe for valuables and a TV that also does not work. The overall room was very dated and shabby.||||The gym features a bunch of cement filled old bottles connected to sticks with duct tape and a bunch of old tires (for some reason). The ''hot'' tub was always cold and doesn't have a filtration system, so it was full of bugs. The hotel charges an unadvertised 5% fee at check in to pay with a credit card.||||Staff was nice and accommodating. Self serve coffee would be nice.
