Finca Malvasia, Masdache, Lanzarote, Canary Islands - Explore & Book

"When Tarnya and Richard warned me that their rural hideaway was off the beaten track, they weren’t exaggerating. This young, enthusiastic pair have created an amazing oasis of tall green cacti, jelly palms, bright pink bougainvillea and clean white walls, surrounded by nothing but fields of black volcanic ash dotted with vines. Clustered in an L-shape around a sparkling, solar-heated pool are 5 self-contained cottages, and there's a larger house with it's own pool across the driveway. Built in the style of the island's famous designer César Manrique, they're a distinctive blend of rustic Canarian with funky touches. Finca Malvasia’s isolation doesn't mean you’ll get bored. Stressed-out professionals can find solace in the on-site yoga hut, spa treatments and massages; families can head to the beach just 10km away; and action-seekers can hike or bike straight from their door on routes that criss-cross the dramatic terrain. Various outings can also be arranged, including private yacht charters and wine-tasting walks, and razor-sharp skies make for excellent stargazing come nightfall. Highs Tumbleweed solitude; not a sound apart from the scratching of palm leaves on whitewashed walls Stylish décor and small personal touches, like a bottle of local wine on arrival, Egyptian cotton bed linen and booklets of insider tips on the area Welcoming, knowledgeable and on-the-ball owners who successfully balance an eagerness to please with a degree of discretion An assortment of massages, facials and beauty treatments to keep you feeling fresh and pampered A beautiful pool area, surrounded by a medley of sub-tropical flora Good self-catering facilities Lows The arrival along 1km of pitted dirt road leaves you shaken and stirred, but the real sense of solitude soon calms the nerves Some of the shower cubicles leave little room for movement without exfoliating your elbows on the volcanic stone walls Those looking for neon nightlife should give it a miss You'll need to hire a car" - Joe Cawley

Perfect Week Away We recently spent a wonderful week at Finca Malvasia and can't wait to go back. As a couple looking for a restful getaway this place hit all the right notes. Great setting in among the volcanic landscape and the vineyard. The finca itself is beautifully designed—rustic yet elegant—with thoughtful touches, from the carefully curated decor to the locally sourced welcome pack waiting for us. Our apartment was private, spacious, and clean, with a cozy bed, a well-equipped kitchen, and a terrace perfect for slow breakfasts or stargazing at night. The pool area was a real highlight perfectly positioned for sunbathing with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. We spent several lazy afternoons here with a book or a glass of local wine. You can also walk into the Volcanoes directly from the Finca. Richard was around every few days and was happy to give us tips and advice for our days out. We’d recommend a rental car to get the best of the Island and its beautiful landscapes. Will definitely return.

Stayed here for 5 nights to get away from the hustle and bustle of working life. This tranquil hide away is perfect to unwide and relax. The accommodation was perfect and very authentic, with everything you need, from clean comfortable bed to a well equipped kitchen area. Situated in a dramatic landscape amongst volcanic vineyards, yet this property is only 10 minutes by car from the airport. Hire car is highly recommended. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this little hidden gem.

This is my second stay at Finca Malvasia and I would definitely stay again. Its location means that everything is accessible within about 20/30 mins. Set amongst a vineyard, it is scenic and peaceful and shows a different side to Lanzarote which is stylish and chic. |The shared pool is a decent size and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is small and basic but if you’re happy with salads and simple meals, it’s a perfect escape.

Swimming pool completely dirty, there is someone coming only once a week to clean it but the problem is that because of the wind all the time there it’s always full of things like plants, volcanic rocks etc etc, it should get cleaned every day. In the shower there are few wooden blocks which are full of mycosis (you can see green on it on the picture attached). In the bathroom there is something yellow coming out on the floor (you can see it on the picture attached). All of the bathroom elements are completely rusted, seems like they weren’t changed since years, wood in the kitchen is also super destroyed and not well maintained. Shower products they offer has super poor quality. When you are in the bathroom you can hear neighbours talking, it’s not correctly isolated. They don’t have trash bins, they ask you to throw you trash in the city trash bins. It’s super crazy expensive of what it is in reality… location is great and service is okay.

Looking for something a little different, away from the madding crowd ? this superstylish accomadation is absolutely it ! Well equipped whilst retaining its rustic charm, the Finca Malvasia has everything you need including a fabulous communal area with large brick built bbq, pool and yoga house. Exceptional views wrap around this little oasis yet its just over 10mins from the airport. We will return.

Absolutely magical stay at Finca Malvasia in May this year. From the moment we arrived we felt our cortisol levels drop - it’s simply the most calm and restorative setting with dramatic views over the vines to the volcanic mountainscape and luxurious interiors. Absolutely stunning property with beautiful pool and gardens. Our two year old was happy to potter around playing with his trucks in the pebbles and slept so well it was a miracle. We indulged in a massage and reflexology from the wonderful Jill- a perfect end to the most relaxing trip. Lanzarote itself is a real gem if you like getting out and exploring- we took the tips from hosts Richard and Tarnya which were spot on and really enjoyed the variety of beaches especially and some amazing food. Was very hard to leave! Thank you to all the team for this gem of a place you have created, the work you have put in is very obvious and we wish you all the success! Thank you! 🙏🏼

We spent a tranquil week in this stunning location. The finca is set in the midst of vineyards and offers seclusion and tranquillity. The house is meticulously maintained and everything is perfectly organised. Every morning we woke up to the soothing cooing of the turtlrdoves, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. Our neighbours were quiet and respectful. This added to the overall experience. If we were ever to come back to the island, we would love to stay at this finca again. Thank you to Tarnya and Richard for making us feel so welcome.

I stayed at Finca Malvasia for a week with my niece (15) and nephew (12) and we all loved it and would definitely visit again.|It’s well located so that beaches, towns, caves and malls are all no longer than a 40 min drive (but mostly 10-15 mins). It’s a peaceful location in a stunning setting and the accommodation is stylishly and thoughtfully decorated and furnished.|The staff were really approachable, helpful and friendly.|There were 2 other families there at the same time but we mostly had the pool to ourselves (we came just before the main school holidays).
