Agroturismo Son Ametler, Near Moscari, Mallorca - Explore & Book

"You'll remember the ambiance of this place long after you've stayed. Unpretentious and relaxed, with no pressure to do anything other than laze by the pool and read a book, or wander through olive groves when the mood takes you, it is utterly restorative. Owners James and Paola honed their hosting skills at nearby Finca es Castell before opening their own agroturismo here, and are brilliant at creating a welcoming house party atmosphere that is laid back but quietly efficient; child-friendly but not offputtingly so for couples. With buddingly beautiful gardens, glorious pool and several terraces, there's plenty of space for everyone. Eleven rooms and family suites are spread across the old finca and new wing. Italian-Kenyan by birth, Paola is a trained cook, and her homegrown dinners are a big draw, enjoyed in a lovely, candlelit, indoor-outdoor dining space. There is also a clutch of excellent local restaurants; this isn't a place to diet. But spend some time hiking and cycling in the glorious Tramuntana mountains (James will show you routes, or guide you if he's free), and you'll deserve the fabulous food and wine come sunset. Highs If you want a boutique bolthole to escape and recharge, with simple pleasures and fine food, within 45 mins of a well-connected airport, look no further We loved the bucolic setting, surrounded by fields with the rugged Tramuntana mountains as a backdrop; views are incredible Great rates include a superb breakfast Only 11 rooms (a mix of doubles, twins and family rooms), which maintains the peace and personal service It's also well placed for day trips to Lluc, Pollensa, Alcudia and beaches Lows The pool is too deep for young children to stand (1.5-2m) Some bedrooms have limited headroom The room decor is handsome rather than cutting-edge chic The delicious dinners are a set menu, and not available on Sundays or Mondays (but other restaurants are just 2km away) You'll need a hire car" - Michael Cullen

An absolute tranquil holiday. The location and views are unreal. The windy roads are all apart of the experience of getting there. All the staff are so wonderful, caring, attentive and passionate about what they do. The dinner was outstanding. Some of the best food and flavours I’ve tasted since travelling around Europe for 3 months. We had a small room, but was perfect for a 2 person stay. The pool and patio areas are perfect for relaxation. Cannot recommend enough! The area was great to explore with our hire car and not a far drive to the beach.

Stunning boutique hotel in the Mallorcan countryside. The hotel, rooms, and pool area are stunning and comfortable. The view, spectacular. We met the owner at dinner. She was a wonderful hostess and chef and was able to accommodate some pretty strict allergies. It's VERY quiet. We barely heard anyone speaking the entire time. Great place for couples, romantic and serene.

Amazing boutique hotel, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Far enough from Palma and other crowded areas of Mallorca, so the region stays peaceful and free from the usual tourist influx. The hotel is spotless and incredibly quiet, even when fully booked. The staff is warm, friendly, and always attentive. The pool area is spacious and ideal for sunbathing, reading a book, and simply unwinding. Just note: the hotel is very family-friendly, so you might hear children playing around the pool during the day, as some families spend the whole day there. The closest beaches are about a 30-minute drive away, so plan accordingly if you want to arrive early and enjoy them before they get busier. Breakfast is fantastic, a generous selection of breads, cheeses, fruits, juices, plus French press coffee, bacon, and eggs. It runs from 8:00 to 10:30, which is great if you prefer a slow, late breakfast without rushing. If you’re into running or cycling, the surrounding roads are excellent for it, with only occasional traffic that never feels unsafe. Overall, an amazing and very pleasant stay. I totally recommend it!

Just returned from a 7 night holiday which extended to 9 nights courtesy of BA cancelling our flight home due to adverse weather conditions at Heathrow . Staff were super helpful with both our hotel and car hire extensions .||All the other reviews are spot on - hotel is great , breakfast and dinner are delightful and all the staff are friendly and efficient . We had a master suite which was lovely with 2 balconies - shade or sun which ever you wished for .||Totally recommended .

As previous reviews have stated, this is an absolutely fantastic place to stay. The views of the surrounding countryside and mountains are to die for and we would have been happy sitting on our terrace all day taking in the rays and admiring the views! |The hospitality and personal touches from all the staff are exemplary. We particularly had dealings with Leigh and Cati who were so welcoming and helpful. |The food is fantastic and we ate on all three nights that chef was cooking. There are lots of good local restaurants too.|I would say that a car is a necessity as there are so many lovely places to visit.|All in all, a wonderful place and we will definitely be back! Can highly recommend if you like peace, wonderful food, great hospitality 'off the beaten track'!

We loved our stay in Son Ametler. The hotel and location are beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous and the place had a laid back feel at all times, making it feel like a cross between a hotel and our own place eg the honesty bar, cake and fruit left out and teas and coffees we could help ourselves to. The pool is particularly nice and big enough for a good swim. We spent quite a few hours there chilling. The only thing that would have made our stay even better was being able to get food in the evening, even just a sandwich or one course rather than the full set menu - we ate out twice in the local town and had mixed experiences. In a small establishment this may be too complicated though. Nonetheless we had a fabulous stay and hope to come again xx

Very warm welcome and clean spacious enough bedroom with balcony to take tea or G and T overlooking gorgeous agricultural landscape and not too distant huge mountains of which we ended up driving through. A lovely breakfast was served each day in a lovely glass atrium or out in the garden and gradually we met fellow guests through this time or at the one evening dinner we enjoyed cooked at the stay. We missed our second chance as we’re out late. Very beautiful pool area and grounds around and a gentle home stay all over. We loved our stay but we had a car. If you were writing a book or sketching with no need to go anywhere it would be bliss given sunny days you can walk easily to a nearby village but the close surrounding villages don’t offer much in the way of cafes. The cyclists all over this area in particular made the roads almost hazardous for driving so it was not too relaxing on the roads with very slim widths and sudden blind turns and we discovered the beaches down south of Palma and over to Soleil, the Firmentara spectacular areas and if had no car we would not have experienced the exciting gorgeous seaside areas it drives that Mallorca offers. Thankyou to Katie Paula and wonderful breakfast lady.. Maria? For your kind welcome and help at any time

Amazing location nestled under the Tramuntana Mountains. The wine which is produced from the vineyards at the property is outstanding. The current chef is producing amazing food. I especially enjoyed the tapas evening with its variety of flavours. Lovely ambience, food and wine. Thank you very much.
