My review begins with the very helpful gentleman Rhys, who navigated a booking for accommodation and a big night planned on the 15th Aug with a band playing. I’ve eaten here before the food is excellent and recently watched Ange Pash sing a KISSJOVI night that was a great rockin night.

Cooper.... your customer service is proficient, friendly, exceptional and the no.1 reason we will be returning to stay here again as guests and will recommend the Findon hotel to all family and friends. Thank you . You put making toasted cheese sandwiches down to an art. I have 960,000 views on utube and will recommend the Findon as my no1 hotel to stay in and eat in. Thanks again Cooper...you are staff here that make a difference!!

On arriving I asked older female barmaid in gaming room, where do I check in, she just pointed & was grumpy & not friendly at all. Young Man, helped me upstairs to room, very accommodating & same goes for different guy when leaving next morning. Room was OK, but bathroom tiny & vanity in lounge area. Not the best when sharing. Unfortunately the stairs were a let down. Overall hotel needs a good scrub & the patrons were a bit scary

Setting great, very open, staff great too Meat eaters commented on their nice meals BUT If you are vegan I'd give it a miss.only one item available, mushroom pie with broccoli and mash potato with tastless gravy and out of 15 on table I wast last to be served everyone else all but finished their meal, excuse they gave cook gave me meat pie ....so it too ages to defrost small round mushroom pie? Which after a couple of bites ugh,! gave 3stars as others on my table very happy with their meal(omnivores).

A warm courteous welcome when checking in set the mood for a lovely one night stay. The young lady at the bar who poured our complimentary drinks was genuine and friendly. The rooms are absolutely spotless. My husband and I had the best night sleep in there very comfortable beds. Blessings and Thank You.

Google
Friendly bar staff, good service, reasonable tucker, prices of which is just a little on the high side. There does not appear to be a smoker's area, which means smokers congratulate around the entries, polluting the air as patrons enter the building.

Yelp
The room had a fair bit of room for our family of 5. The bathroom was incredibly small but did the job. Wasn't the cleanest place I've been in but nothing that you couldn't deal with. Beds were clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the only thing would be that you have to pay $200 for the key to get in even tho you get it back, some people / families don't have that extra money. The food down stairs was excellent, kids meals came out first, the food was cooked perfectly. The adult meals came not long after and tasted amazing! Staff are friendly and it's a nice place to eat with kids. We will stay here again.

Yelp
I don't very often give bad reviews but this hotel needs much room for improvement. I ordered the baked snapper and had a scoop of frozen style veg on the side. It looked awful. I just took them off straight away. The snapper was rubbery! It takes a few minutes to steam or fry up fresh vegetables. It's just hard to comprehend how a hotel think that's acceptable. Another family member had a Caesar lamb salad and said it was disgusting. The lamb was far from appealing to look at. Two two senior specials had cold soft hot chips. The meals are the worst we've had in a long time. We all left food on our plates. The pub was empty for a Friday lunch, and I think we just discovered why. We won't be visiting again.

Yelp
Okie, 1st time here. After coming in second in a team bowling game for our account retreat, we've decided to spend the prize money here at Findon hotel. I'm going to cut to the chase and say that I'm possibly not returning anytime soon. They have a few things going for them, like the big portion, reasonable salad bar, and very friendly servers attending to our table. But i have a thing for good steak. YMMV, but to me the medium rare steak that i ordered is not really coming in at anywhere near the correct quality that i expected. I felt it's more along the line of medium well. And it's not just my opinion, a colleague of mine made the same remark. That in itself might make me take a second thought whether to revisit the place for lunch. Like i said, there's some good stuff there, if big portion food is your thing then yeah.. but I'll probably spend my next $14 ($20 when topping up with surf and turf at lunch time) at another hotel restaurant . I'm still giving it a 3 star coz the lady serving us deserve a star for her helpful and friendly attitude.

Yelp
This pub and I have a long history, only due to the fact that I used to live around the corner from it. Mind you, despite living in a real close proximity to the place didn't mean that I was a regular - in fact I hardly ever stepped foot in through the doors (and even if I did I really can't remember what it was like). If anything my flatmate and I would only ever come here to buy a carton of beer from the drive thru. Anyway, on my last trip to Adelaide I decided to return (actually I had done a couple of times before that, but this time was to actually have a meal). First of all it is actually two pubs in the same building. On the eastern side is a traditional English pub with a sports bar, which on the western side is the gaming lounge and the bistro. The bistro actually has the really cool beer garden. However my enjoyment of this place pretty much ends there. I have to say that the meal that I ended up having was disguisting. The schnitzel was okay, but the chips were undercooked, and don't even let me get started on the salad. It's not a bad place for a beer, but I would go elsewhere for a feed.

Yelp
This place has amazing things to keep children entertained not only do they have a play area they also provided crazy straws, yoyos, frisbees and stickers. The kids were so excited. They have the usual pub options, schnitzel, garlic prawns, burgers, fish and chips and salads. Our food was good, brought out in a decent amount of time. The place was quite busy at 6:30 but had eased by about 7:30 when we were leaving. Parking was ample and the car park was plenty light enough. This place is plenty accessible for anyone who needs it

Yelp
Wow... This place is so different. The bathroom is tiny and the sink is in the bedroom. Earliest checkout is 9:30am.. doesn't help when my hospital appointment is an hour away at 9:30am. They have offered for the duty manager to meet me at 8:30 Booked on booking.com and it never said anything about a $200 cash deposit for the key or Credit card details. They will not take debit card. What if I have no extra cash?! I'd be without a bed tonight... No front desk. You have to goto the cashier in the pokie room to check in? What if you have children with you? I only booked her because my normal hotel was booked.. I will NEVER book here again. Even if it's super cheap

Yelp
The Findon Hotel is another surprisingly really nice suburban pub which has injected a lot of money into itself and created a good reputation for itself amongst other Adelaide hotels. Comprising of the Rat n Parrot British Pub and the Topaz Bar, The Findon has a lot to offer for a range of different customers and menu needs. They run karaoke every Friday in the British Pub and offer a 'kids eat free' discount on Tuesday nights in the Topaz Bar, which is great incentive for parents to give the cooking a miss for a night. The highlight though by far is the layout of the topaz bar which has the coolest outdoor area ever. The whole area is covered in grass and is very park like with wooden furniture scattered amongst the greenery. The menu is also really good value with around $20.00 for a steak that was surely bigger than the 200 grams advertised. The cuisine in the British Pub is also quintessentially British (go figure) and tastes great even though it will add centimetres to your waistline from all the gravy and mashed potato.

Yelp
A bit hit and miss this place. I had a ceasar salad with a rock hard egg one week, then a beautiful plate of fish and chips the next. I am also confused by the two entrances and what seems to be two venues in the same complex. Maybe they are trying to do too much. A menu refresh is in order and the salad bar needs a freshen up.

Yelp
Rat and Parrot. Meals were average, and they got everything muddled up. We had 6 people and everyone's meals came out 10mins apart. Service was average. There are better pubs in Adelaide.
