I attended two summer writing workshops at FAWC and learned truly worthwhile things at both. The instructors were/are respected award-winning writers. Happy happy.

The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts is superb for any artist wishing to move forward with their skills: writing, photography, printmaking, etc. I have taken six different weeklong Summer Program workshops and three Online courses. I recommend FAWC with enthusiasm. You’ll work hard, meet new fellow artists with similar interests, and — you’ll have FUN, too. The FAWC has high quality classes for writers and aspiring writers, as well as visual artists who want to enjoy the wellspring of creativity a place like Provincetown provides.

Saw an author reading here. Spectacular place. Heads up: no air conditioning in the reading room area, dress accordingly.

Yelp
no reviews?????? maybe the younger crowd hasn't spotted it yet. i was probably the youngest workshopper this week, minus the college interns. it's a great haven, well-funded, spacious, and friendly. basic spaces and artist studio areas and a nice airy mish-mash of poetry, prose, playwriting, visual/video work. some great folks come down here, and the community is amazingly strong. i'll be back!

Yelp
Last summer I took three fantastic printmaking classes at the Fine Arts Work Center. My instructors were Nona Hershey, Andrew Mockler and James Stroud - all very knowledgeable and accommodating. Each class was small which allowed for lots of personal attention and press time. The facilities were great for intaglio, monoprints and woodcuts, especially with 24 hour studio access. Can't wait to go back.
