Had heard good things about this place but it was really disappointing. It wasn’t particularly busy but the coffee took over half an hour, it turned up after the food. When the food came the “sourdough” was a cold piece of hovis that they took to re heat and bought back an end slice 10 mins later so the rest of the food had gone cold. The bacon was really tough and dry and the eggs were sitting in liquid. Just avoid and go for an actual cooked breakfast at a real cafe. On a plus note the coffee was nice and the staff were lovely and very apologetic

What an absolute gem! Finegan & Son never disappoints. Breakfast here is on another level – everything is so fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The sausages and bacon were honestly some of the best I’ve had anywhere: perfectly seasoned, beautifully crisp on the outside and tender inside. A proper quality breakfast. And can we talk about the matcha latte? Hand-whisked to silky perfection – smooth, earthy, and creamy in all the right ways. It’s the kind of little detail that shows how much care they put into everything they do. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, the staff are genuinely lovely, and you can tell there’s real passion behind this place. If you’re in Newry, this is a must-visit for a truly exceptional breakfast experience. 🌿🥓☕️

What a lovely cafe to stop by on our way from Dublin to Belfast. The cakes and tarts were nice. Coffee is tasty. Lots of families and kids within. Very friendly staff and a serious barrister. Nice big windows providing a view of the city. It has a pretty cosy interior and there is parking on the road just besides the cafe

Lovely place to eat in. Cozy and welcoming, I had the burger with brie and bacon with a flat white. The burger was excellent but is pricey for the size. The patty has excellent taste and was made to perfection, the bacon is awesome and the relish is amazing. Better than ketchup. The flat white was good, some interesting blend with tones of fruit. If you like your coffee on the strong side, this is it. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice atmosphere. Very good for breakfasts and lunches. The portions are large and the prices aren't high. Everything is nicely seasoned and cooked. Everything from the breakfast menu was nice. The staff are very friendly and approachable. The coffee is really good.

Visited Newry for the first time to visit my partner’s family, and we stumbled across this place after staying at the Canal Court Hotel. Location was super ideal as it’s only a 5 min walk from the hotel! Food was wonderful, exactly what we needed! The ambience inside is also lovely!

This is the best breakfast in Ireland. The coffee is even better. Don't miss it if you're passing through. The whole thing is first class and unlike anything else in the area. Staff are all legends, down to earth and so welcoming.

Yelp
Just an update. It's all change again as the £2 coffee deal pre 9am that came in a few weeks ago is gone. Back to full price. I had noticed going in that the advertising banner promoting the deal and early opening was gone but I reckoned it was our lousy local council that removed it. Our local 'no public park here' administration is anti local business yet throw money at fly by night spivs who promise employment and rarely deliver (one recent chancer must have been drinking his own Newry whiskey). This council couldn't run a bath with photo opportunity councillors that wouldn't work on batteries. Anyway the coffee deal was brief and is now gone but the coffee and the service in this cosy place remains really ace and is now available pre 9am.
