Fink Gasthaus

We enjoyed the cheese and speck platter, veal goulash, spinach ravioli, and dumplings. The goulash and ravioli were amazing. The dumplings were good - the slaw under them was delish. Excellent place for dinner. Kind, friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful atmosphere.

Beef goulash (knodel) and Schnitzel in the photos! I stayed away from the pizza as the other reviews suggested but everything else we had was excellent! The ambiance was fantastic as well, really cute restaurant inside and out. The only thing I would improve is the service - while they were polite enough, they seemed to prioritize putting ashtrays and tablecloths away to taking our order.

Ideal for eating outside on a not to hot day. Friendly, multilingual service, good food (try the mushroom dishes in summer and fall!), excellent location in the historic, car-less town center. Visit the bathroom in the basement for an impression of the historic architecture of these buildings.

Food is great. Nice atmosphere. Nice staff except the guy serves the juice he was rude. Orange juice wasn’t that good.

I had the Knödel and pizza with speck and egg toppings. The service was quick and the waiting staff were generally friendly, but I thought the food lacked the punch I was expecting.

A perfect dinner. The waiters were all welcoming and lovely, each dish was delicious and tasted like they were made from ingredients of excellent quality. The veal schnitzel and potato salad was one of the best I’ve experienced, and the tiramisu with a hint of orange was perfection. Atmosphere and aesthetic was clean, comfortable and beautiful without being too pretentious. I would return!

They seem to have perfected what to do with Radicchio. Everything we had with this ingredient from lasagne to pizza to risotto was excellent. Perhaps it is because there just isn’t much good restaurants in Bolzano so we were there on three occasions. At least consistent and friendly staff. Decent wines but nothing extravagant.

Four of us came here on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. We shared the cold cuts and cheese appetizer, which was delicious. For the main course, we all stuck with the German specialties: Wienerschnitzel (veal) and Wienerschnitzel (turkey) both served with potato salad; and goulash (since I have an allergy to wheat, they substituted roasted potatoes for the dumplings). All three dishes were excellent. The service was great as well. Thank you Samba and the rest of the Fink crew!

Absolutely delicious German-Italian mixture food!!! If you can deal with the birds wanting to steal your food all the time....everything was good. We all 3 enjoyed what we had. Can't recommend one over the other...just try it all.

We had dinner on a cool May evening. We chose local specialties leaning toward the Teutonic influence. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. The Leberknoedelsuppe was excellent as was my wife's Spargelsuppe (asparagus was in season).

Gluten-free pasta available, and it tasted exactly like regular pasta (I tasted both). Several vegetarian/vegan pasta options available. Also a nice (but small) mixed salad. Nice outdoor seating on a picturesque street. Recommended!

We were just going to grab a sandwich, but stumbled on Gasthaus Fink instead. Best salad we had in Bolzano, and our last amazing primi plati before we left town. Pasta (pappardelle maybe?) with salmon, and a subtle shrimp risotto (well, subtle except for the handful of shrimp on top). Patio/street seating is less cluttered than many, and service was quite good --- our waitress managed to keep circulating among her many tables. All in all, a relaxing last meal before heading back south.
