Stayed here three days and enjoyed the whole experience. The hostel is spotlessly clean, the most important thing for me and the double room though sparse was very comfortable and cosy. Great bed. The bathrooms are modern and kept very clean. Also plenty available on both floors. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery etc. Lots of local information on 'what's available' posted on the walls in the dining area. Small TV lounge. A few stairs that may be a problem for some people, check before booking. I loved meeting some of the other stayers and swapping stories. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here a gain for a few days. Thanks to the helpful staff.

Very close to the centre. Clean Hostel and had our own privacy. Cool TV room with Piano, lots of games to play with and push bikes for hire. Really useful since Taupo is bike friendly. However most of the stove tops were not working and found it a bit difficult to cook food. I get that a lot of people cook all the time but this should be maintained frequently. All in all still liked it!

The hostel is decent. I stayed in a six-person dorm, and the pod-style beds were a highlight. They provided privacy and had enough space for storing personal belongings. However, the kitchen was often messy, more so than in other hostels I have visited. The shared bathrooms were frequently unclean, with only two showers for males and three washbasins for everyone. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it suitable for a short stay, but the facilities could be better maintained.

This place is great, the staff are so friendly, the kitchen is tidy and they even have a movie room with a guitar and a piano. They have free tea and coffee in case you forget them and Pak and Sav is only 5 minutes away and the lake is 15 minute walk away. The vibes are good and it’s so easy to meet people here. I will definitely be staying again

Stuffs are so helpful and kind always. I stayed there twice and if I will definitely go back again. The location a bit far away from the lake like 5 mins drive but rooms and the other things make it overlooked.

Rooms/ pods were hot (no air con), there was no locker for my back and only one small safe deposit box for an entire hostel. Most of the washing and dyer machines were out of order. Guests were inconsiderate of noise, talking loudly outside rooms at 5am. On the plus side, it was in a good location and had a decent communal area with a large kitchen where you could cook food. The pods were also quite roomy and offered decent privacy. Not great value for money.

A very nice place, great rooms and common areas. They have the best kitchen I've seen in New Zealand hostels so far. Also, very friendly staff members. 10/10

Pak m Save down the rd, The Warehouse across the rd. Im doing 7 nights 10 Dorm room, tonite only 2 of us. The pod style is awesome gives you room and privacy. Rayna
