Finlay's Kalbarri

We visited Finlay while holidaying from Perth after reading some great reviews. The venue is well set up with a lovely atmosphere — relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtfully styled. The food was enjoyable overall; well-prepared and nicely presented. That said, the tacos could use a touch more seasoning and perhaps a bit of freshness or spice to really lift the flavours. While everything tasted good, we felt the dishes could benefit from a bit more punch. As a family of five, we did find it on the pricier side, but the overall dining experience was pleasant. A nice spot for a relaxed meal — worth a visit if you're in the area.

Our favourite spot if we visit Kalbarri! Love the rustic set up and space. Definitely love the food and beer. Kids enjoy roasting marshmallows. The t-shirts are good quality as hubby got one here 2 years back and it's still lasting well and he wears them often. So coming back again, he got another! BUT the wait for food is long, about 45mins. We were warned so we went prepared. Plus it wasn't our first time here. For the lovely food and beer, we were happy to wait and chill. Kids had their card games, adults enjoyed their beer while waiting for food. Going in winter meant we rugged up nicely so we didn't feel too cold being outside as well. Staff was always very helpful and prompt. We also made sure we made a booking in advance near the fireplace as we were a big group.

Great vibe at this quirky brewery and restaurant. The food was great and there is a wide choice if their beers and ginger beer. Unlike a lot of boutique breweries they brew a lager that tastes like a lager without all the perfume and scents! Staff were friendly and efficient. It is also dog friendly! Definitely worth a visit!

It is a gem in kalbarri We went there during Easter time so it got so busy. The parking lot was already full and they had to park quite far outside some factory building The place was one of the few that were still open and it was quite spacious that you could get a table easily. It still had a sign with full booking somewhere so if you would want to have a dinner make reservation ahead The food was not that quick to the table but understandable with so many guests there The food was surprisingly good and I shall say the best in the area

What a lovely place to have mothers day dinner. Place was extremely busy. Food was very enjoyable and affordable. Craft beer was ok in the boys opinions. Highly recommended.

The food was outstanding, really fresh and delicious We ordered by QR code in the table and didnt see where it said that everything would come together which was a shame Next time we would order smaller plates and drinks first then order mains after The server didnt seem happy to be there and we had to go and collect cutlery from what looked like a waiters station and when we ordered another drink(a large bottle of sparkling water) he brought it with no glass and there was no glassware where he had previously directed us to the cutlery so we had to go up to the bar. The ordering system asked us to tip in advance so we do wonder if his lack of sservice was because we didnt choose to tip in advance!?Or he might have been having a bad day? Food was still good enough to go back again regardless

This is our go-to spot whenever we visit Kalbarri. The food and beer are consistently great! The restaurant is often fully booked or quite busy, so it’s best to book ahead. Thanks to previous reviews, we knew what to expect on our first visit. They do let you know that meals can take around 45 minutes, which is helpful—especially if you’ve got hungry kids. We’ve learned to give the family a small meal beforehand so we can enjoy a relaxed experience while waiting. I had the tasting paddle because it’s just too hard to pick one beer—great variety and all delicious. The seafood was cooked perfectly and everything we tried was full of flavour. It’s a casual setup where you order at the counter or via the website link, so don’t expect full table service—but staff were friendly and helpful in every interaction.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful—relaxed and peaceful. The staff are lovely, and the food is absolutely delicious. A restaurant you definitely should visit when you're here.

Popped in on a busy Saturday night just at the end of school holidays and was pleasantly amazed at the beer, the atmosphere, the food, and did I say the beer? My wife and I each had a sampler paddle which only made choosing our pints harder! Each beer was very true to form and very tasty. We enjoyed pints of the Hazy and Pale Ale (taking home a four-pack of each) to pair with our amazing dinner (a quinoa/spinach/mushroom salad and fish and chips). We will definitely go back!! But this time we'll book a table because it does fill up! Outside seating was lively and lots of kids were running around having a blast. If you're looking for a quiet brew pub - this may not be your place. But if you're looking to find an amazing pub with great beer and a local, beach feel: this is definitely your place!!

Delicious food for a decent price!! It was my first time eating kangaroo and I was really pleased with how it turned out. The meat was tender and not as gamey as I thought it would be. The mussels tasted fresh and it came with enough garlic bread sticks for you to soak up the spicy, delicious sauce!! I really enjoyed my cider - wish I remember the name cuz I highly recommend it for someone who likes a light, crisp, not too sweet drink Their outdoor dining area is cute and at night, the whole place is lit using fairy lights! They also have live music - just check their blackboard for announcement

Finlay's had an amazing feel to it, they worked their restaurant around nature keeping trees in place with plenty of things to look at. All staff were very friendly, smiles on their faces, and knew how to have a laugh! We were very pleased with the food, all 3 courses. But our favourite bybfsr was the like cheesecake and the mousse. Absolutely incredible!
