Finlay's Kalbarri

We had dinner at Finlay’s in Kalbarri on the 27th and absolutely loved it. The food was excellent, full of flavour, well presented, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive without being over the top. A great spot for dinner while visiting Kalbarri, we’d happily come back and highly recommend it.

Dined here twice in a week … both times all staff were super friendly and welcoming . Food was so good … first time shared octopus , Exmouth prawns and fish tacos …. Return visit for the char grilled lobster / crayfish…. 🦞 … All the meals were great … if I was being picky I’d have liked a bit more salad with the crayfish …., and the presentation of the panna cotta was not good … But minor details…. Both nights great time , great food and delicious beers . Thank you

This restaurant is a gem in Kalbarri which deserves a higher rating. All dishes ordered were well cooked especially the steak. The clams were so fresh. There was a variety of Finlay’s beer and the cans were artistically designed.

The beer was excellent – I had the Pink Lake (or Pink Lagoon) sour beer, and it was truly delicious. Unfortunately, the food was a complete disappointment. The burger arrived in less than five minutes, thrown together without care. The cheese looked like it came straight from a packet and wasn’t even melted. It tasted awful. The fries were undercooked and just as unappetizing. For drinking beer, I would recommend this place, but for food, absolutely not. The prices are very high considering the poor quality – the value for money is extremely bad.

Wow what a great place! Really cool vibe with outdoor restaurant style and lucky enough to have live music when we dined on Sunday. Upscale food so perfect to put on a cute outfit + sandals. The fish of the day was YUM, felt like the fries were soggy. The mussels were good but my party thought it was a tad too salty. We were after the coriander oyster but that wasn’t available, kilpatrick is always safe, mix of oysters that were good but some were fishy. Overall highly recommend the restaurant.

This town is small and not many choices you can get from there. Fortunately we found this restaurant and no booking is needed during weekday. Great place to have dinner here. Their beer is home-made and is worth for try.

Finlay is underrated on google.. This spot perfectly blends chill outdoor vibes with seriously good craft beer — brewed right on-site! The food complements the drinks beautifully — think hearty pub bites with a twist: crispy fries, juicy burgers, and sharing platters that pair perfectly with a cold pint. Service is friendly, the crowd is easy-going, and the atmosphere feels effortlessly relaxed — ideal for weekend afternoons or golden-hour catch-ups. Popped in on a busy Saturday night just at the end of school holidays and was pleasantly amazed at the beer, the atmosphere, the food, and did I say the beer? My wife and I each had a sampler paddle which only made choosing our pints harder! Each beer was very true to form and very tasty. We enjoyed pints of the Hazy and Pale Ale (taking home a four-pack of each) to pair with our amazing dinner (a quinoa/spinach/mushroom salad and fish and chips). We will definitely go back!! But this time we'll book a table because it does fill up! Outside seating was lively and lots of kids were running around having a blast. If you're looking for a quiet brew pub - this may not be your place. But if you're looking to find an amazing pub with great beer and a local, beach feel: this is definitely your place!!

Delicious food for a decent price!! It was my first time eating kangaroo and I was really pleased with how it turned out. The meat was tender and not as gamey as I thought it would be. The mussels tasted fresh and it came with enough garlic bread sticks for you to soak up the spicy, delicious sauce!! I really enjoyed my cider - wish I remember the name cuz I highly recommend it for someone who likes a light, crisp, not too sweet drink Their outdoor dining area is cute and at night, the whole place is lit using fairy lights! They also have live music - just check their blackboard for announcement

Finlay's had an amazing feel to it, they worked their restaurant around nature keeping trees in place with plenty of things to look at. All staff were very friendly, smiles on their faces, and knew how to have a laugh! We were very pleased with the food, all 3 courses. But our favourite bybfsr was the like cheesecake and the mousse. Absolutely incredible!
