What a house. So happy I was able to visit. If you’re not into archi&design you may not enjoy. But you should still visit . Danish Modern Hygge.

Perfect for anyone interested in good Architecture, sadly they made us pay a bundle which included things we were not interested in the list.

A master piece of Scandinavian design, with brilliant furniture. It was so nice that the atmosphere within the house was tranquil and very peaceful, and several private objects belonging to Finn Juhl are placed in different corners ready to be found by curious eyes.

Such a special place and an absolute must for those with an appreciation for Danish modern design. It’s so beautiful, peaceful, and cozy. They also have a great pamphlet that has the house’s floor plan as well as information on all of the furniture and art pieces within the home which I found super fascinating and helpful. This ended up being one of the highlights of my trip, you don’t want to skip it!

As a pure house tour of a designer, I was surprised to have found so many design and interior inspiration from the house. Each object is beautiful curated just like Finn Juhl’s design. Beautiful place.

If you are fan on Scandinavia/Danish design or Bauhaus lover (that Finn Juhl has been partly inspired by…) you need to see this magnificent place. Cozy house, perfectly merged with nature and greenery, created by genius - successor of Le Corbusier, Mies Van Den Rohe and other precursors of modernism. House and furnitures although designed 60-70 years ago, look contemporary and timelessly and I really could move in to this house immediately. 😍❤️👍🏻

If you a fan of Finn juhl or Danish design, this is the place you should visit! It is the real house which he was living until he passed away. It was designed by him in 1942, still looks fresh and has a lot of design tips in it. The view from the window is fantastic, summer is the best season to visit.

Yelp
An amazing building from Zaha Hadid, one of my all time favourite architects! The museum is small and has two exhibition areas in two floors. The exhibitions change all the time so check the information before you go. The rooms guide you through the museum easily. The cafe is amazing as it has glass walls on both sides and makes you feel like being outdoors in the nature. The yard of the museum is large and has some interesting art installations. Good for a Sunday trip/walk. Ideally go there when the weather is nice so you can enjoy the yard. By public transport you need to take the train to klampenborg and then a bus which leaves you just around the corner. Quite easy to find. There is also a closer train station which when reaching with bike takes about 10 minutes to bike to the museum.

Yelp
We visited in a great day entrance was for free! They had live jazz due to the winter jazz festival so a really great timing. The collection is small but i have to say they have awesome paintings worth seeing from Monet, Pisarro, Cezanne and Gaugin. We also visited Fin Juuls house and the story behind it is very interesting. I love the location in the middle of the forest. I love the park around and the fact that it has 3 different buildings and that it changes so much between each. The new building exposition was being set up we couldn't get in however the very popular Hammershoj is up from Friday 4.03.2016 and apparently they are having a Monet exhibition this summer I won't miss it he is my favorite impressionist. The Jazz was awesome we really enjoyed it. The staff was great we got all the stories and had a good time with them. They have a lovely shop, a good cafeteria and the best part free parking!

Yelp
This museum has some pretty impressive paintings and can be combined with a rail trip to the Louisiana (it's a 2km walk from the rail station on a suburban street). The time involved in getting there from Central Copenhagen, the small size and the expense (110 kroner I think) means it's probably not worth it unless you are really into Impressionism and works from the same era.
