The Finnish National Theatre in Helsinki is a gem for both theater lovers and anyone interested in Finnish culture and history. Located right next to the Central Railway Station, the building’s striking National Romantic architecture immediately captures your attention. Its stone facade, intricate details, and large windows make it one of the most iconic structures in Helsinki.

As many other buildings in city centre the National Theatre has a beautiful facade. From Ateneum you can see the Theatre and the Central Railway. In front of the building there is a nice market seeling food and souvenirs from different countries(not sure if is opened all year or only until end of September).

Beautiful building. Sharing my photos since I didn’t see other photos shot in winter. Kinda funny how they make those gigantic mounds of snow everywhere.

Five Stars based solely on the exterior front facade. I would love to see the interior

So beautiful inside. Absolutely stunning building. The staff is always so nice and helpful. One star away for the possible restroom queus 😅 and not so comfortable seatings (after 2,5h they will get to you).
All in all amazing experience and all the shows and plays I've seen there have been breath taking.

There was a Christmas sale happening today (also tomorrow, so 25. and 26. of November 2017) over here organised by the staff of the Theatre. Before going there we imagined that there would have been some clothes or items from the different plays, but apparently there were none. Some 'Packman' cutting boards, candle holders made from the lids of the pans, some breads and cakes, and other small items. Cute stuff, nothing with 'WOW'...
