You can’t beat Finn’s Fish Market for fresh caught seafood on Block Island.. I stopped in tonight and picked up some salmon and some some scallops to grill for the fam.. The young man working the counter was an absolute gentleman, full of knowledge and personality.. He explained some details about lobsters to my fascinated 7 year daughter, had answers for all my questions and was totally attentive.. The fish did not disappoint either!! If you’re looking for fresh fish on the island this is your spot!!

This was probably our best meal decision made on Block Island.
The food is fantastic - our favorite place to eat.
We got fried fish and chips and it was amazing. Even the cole slaw was delicious. You didnt get that old oil taste from the fried items. It all tasted fresh.
The clams were the best I've had in years.
The service was fast and friendly and they were extremely accommodating during a busy day.
The drink menu is a must see. They had great drinks. I purchased the secret cocktail (written in small print on the bottom of the menu) which was so good. It had glazed donut vodka in it. Perfect blend of sweetness.
Will definitely be making a trip back here. Stop here for good seafood and drinks!!!

Finns used to be my favorite restaurant, but now it is under new management, new staff and not fully opened. I ordered a lobster roll and it was just okay but not nearly as good as any of the restaurants in Old Harbor.
My feeling it is better not to open and to serve food that you are not proud of until you are fully up and running and ready. Spent too much for food that didn’t meet the standards of competing nearby restaurants.
I’m sure that once they get organized, they will be as wonderful as the old Finn’s. But until then, I’m taking my business elsewhere.

My family and I went to have a nice meal and the waitress throws the food at me and calls us white trash and tells us to get off her island. First off she should have looked in the mirror before making that statement. All over the fact that we were upset about being told there were no more fries after 20 min. We told them that we were going to leave and the manager said he would have the fries and we would still be able to make the ferry. The waitress comes out with a piece of fish in a take out plate and throws it at me. I stood up and said oh no.. we are leaving. She proceeded to tell us we were white trash. We have been eating at Finn's for years and always had good service and food. We all understand that there are limited menus and short staffing in these restaurants. That gives no one the right to speak to anyone this way. My husband and I both work in the retail/ pharmacy industry and worked very hard during covid. We had people screaming about mask's wearing/vaccine's and politics all the time. I would never have spoken to a customer that way. We went off on the manager unfortunately and found out there were more bad reviews recently. Its under new ownership and it shows. What a shame!! I never post reviews on bad service only good service. I needed to let people know what a bad experience this was. It ruined my whole night. The kicker..we were the only people in the inside restaurant and only 1 couple eating outside. They were not even busy!!

I wanted to write to tell you how much we enjoyed your restaurant this past weekend. My husband was recently confined to a wheelchair and although we had a great weekend with family, we found it very hard to find places on the island to accommodate us. On our last day, we were looking for a place to have lunch before we got on the ferry. We happened to come across your restaurant. it was easy to navigate the wheelchair. The host was wonderful and let us sit closest to the wheelchair access. I don't remember his name, but he was great. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. She checked on us numerous times. She was friendly. The food came out quick and was by far the best meal we had out all weekend. We just want to thank you so much for a pleasant experience. It was the first time my husband and I have been away since he got sick in January and we really appreciated your hospitality. We will be recommending your establishment to family and friends. Thank you again!

Best fish & chips we’ve ever had! Perfectly fried: piping hot, crisp, but not greasy. So good we got it again to make sure we hadn’t dreamt it! And brought friends. Our friends had a plate of oysters as well, and were singing their praises. We made a handful of trips to the fish market throughout our stay on the island. Great service, excellent fresh fish, and good recommendations for cooking items we weren’t as familiar with. Will be back!

Food was terrible. We went here on Thursday around 6:30. It wasn't very busy. It took about an hour to get our food after being told numerous times the were sorry and were plating our food. When we finally got the meal it was overcooked and tasted lousy. We had fried scallops and whole belly clams. A friend had a simple hot dog and it was cold. Been going to Block Island for almost 30 years and never had an experience like this. The manager removed them from our bill and said sorry again never offering anything for our inconvenience. Will never be back to this place.
