Fira Backpackers Place

Stayed for a night here, and here are what I noticed: Matthew the receptionist dude is cool and really helpful! The hostel location is 2 mins walk from Fira bus station (easy to go to port, if you travel by ferry) Many cafes and supermarkets around so you wouldn’t have issue with food, or cafe The rooms are not too bad, stayed at 10 people room, and because it was off seasons, only 4 people were there The shower and toilets are big enough to not get squashed! Overall, it was a good stay for 20 euro per night!

Had a lovely stay at Fira Backpacker’s Place. I stayed for a couple of nights at the beginning of September in the women’s dorm. The room was very nice and clean, with a bathroom and lockers. Linen and towels are provided. It’s super close to the bus station and just a minute walk from the most beautiful sunset. Got very useful information at the reception on where to go and what to visit. I would 100% recommend, especially if travelling alone, I met my cyclades island hopping travel companions just 10 minutes after checking in :))

Very centrally located and walkable distance to most of the places within Fira. Common area is good kitchen available for cooking Tours provided within the hostel - fixed price no negotiations. When asked for discounts while i was trying to book for more that 1 tour, Mathew was impolite and said " I don't do the tours to provide a discount". Although for all other queries he was quite helpful. wifi is not strong in the rooms Beds are crap.

Booked at the very last minute for one night only and was most grateful to have been given a comfortable bed, while the gentleman on reception was incredibly friendly and helpful in answering questions. Located next to the bus stop which is cheaply linked to both the airport and ferry port. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay overnight ahead of an early ferry or flight.

I only stayed for a night. The staff were very friendly. The location is great. Just two blocks away from the bus stop and really close to the center. The shower was good, too. They let me leave my bags before checking in.

I had an excellent 3 night stay. Comfort, cleanliness, and even the reception were great (especially from Matthew). There's a great atmosphere at night and everything is close by. If I ever come back to Santorini, I would definitely come back.

Here is a perfect place to travel Santorini. The bus terminal which is a hub for all areas in Santorini is closed only 5 mins walk from this place. Affordable price and free laundry, friendly and kind staff and friendly cats.

Only stayed one night due to flying in late. Really lovely staff and great location. 3mins to the bus stop, 5mins to city centre. However unfortunately I wouldn’t stay again as the main reason I book a hostel is to sleep and unfortunately this was one of the worst beds I’ve ever slept it. It was a wire/spring type of mattress but the ‘mattress’ part on top of the wire was so thin that the wire was constantly sticking into me and it was just not it. The wifi was also terrible and barely worked for me during my stay. Having an ensuite bathroom was really nice though. Really gracious with facilities too which was a positive, a pool available for use even after your stay, luggage storage etc. Just the wifi/service and bed situation really lets it down and unfortunately it was bad enough to outweigh the good. Very affordable so I suppose you get what you pay for but I’ve been in other affordable options with a better experience.
