Poor service from the start, with drinks arriving almost at the end of the meal. The seafood platter was a major disappointment — all items were deep‑fried, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere, and the so‑called king prawns were only a few inches long. Low quality across the board. Avoid if you’re looking for a good food experience.

I enjoyed the vibe a lot. Went on $12 parmy night. It is incredible value if you like a chicken parmy. Hard to describe the atmosphere, there's a lot going on but the service is at a leisurely pace, although to be clear the food came out quickly! A great experience.

Weekend trip to Kangaroo Island: dinner at @fireandsmokeki - great food, no frills, family run. Good stuff! . Squid fries: crunchy and delicious. Really nicely done! . Pan fried local garfish: the garfish was perfect - super super tender! Amazing flavours. . Garlic prawn parmigiana: the prawns were really nice - really tender and delicious! The garlic sauce was great. Really loved the fries too!

A family run restaurant with excellent and attentive service. We went for the meat dishes including pork ribs. Good local dark beer too!

Loved this cosy restaurant, greeted by a humorous co-owner with a hubby who made a mean pizza and a truly with-it young daughter taking phone orders, bookings and totally charming. Returned for dinner and went the prawn and calamari route and again excellent. Friendly atmosphere, likeable hosts, great food. Highly recommend but definitely book (and order the squid fries entree).

Delicious food came out quickly with massive servings and lovely atmosphere. The staff were attentive and the ocean views amazing.
