The space is pretty cool in that’s it’s in an old fire station. Try to sit as a low table or booth as the high top chairs are super uncomfortable. They offered local beer which we love to see. We had their Workaday burg and poutine. Both were great! We upgraded our burger to the 8 oz which I wouldn’t do again. It’s too much hamburger to bun ratio so next time I’d just have the regular 5 oz burger. Also the burger could use more sauce on it for the 8 oz patty. Only critique for the poutine is it had too much gravy. I never thought that could be a thing: too much gravy!! But it really is. LOL

Google
Had Moustsche Ride burger, Pickle Poutine. Food was good, if a bit in the salty side. Seemed short-staffed, one server for the whole place. Cocktails were well made.

Google
Had the parmesan chicken burger gluten free. The bun was very nice texture and burger was flavourful. The fries were crispy and fresh. Service was fast and friendly and felt good knowing funds were going toward community fundraiser.

Fire Hall Kitchen and Tap in Cranbrook is an excellent spot. Built inside the old fire hall, the proprietors have embraced the history of the building and created a comfortable and casual atmosphere. As it states in their menu, they are “defined by their burgers”, and the burgers wowed our table. They grind brisket in house, and build simple yet immaculately executed burgers. I had “the hobo” which was a delicious sweet and salty fried chicken burger which came recommended by our server. The fries are triple fried and offer a satisfying crunch. Our table shared the poutine, it was excellent. My only regret is forgetting to take photos of our food. We will be back!

Google
Absolutely love the Fire Hall. The food is always fantastic and the servers are friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the beef dip! It’s a meal for two! Definitely becoming our go to place for a great meal.

Google
This bar was a vibe for sure. Server was fast and friendly. The brisket burgers are juicy and tasty, my girlfriend enjoyed her salad, the drinks were my favourite part. Very delicious specialty drinks. And it was also surprisingly cheap. Amazing value for the price points. We got 4 drinks, a full size salad, a burger and fries, and it was less than 70$. I very much would recommend this spot to anyone in the area

Google
Seriously, it's the staff that make this place so great! Such a gorgeous place to hang out! Beautiful location, fabulously c reated dishes, fresh ingredients, and great beer tap options! They even have cider on tap. We recommend the Chefs salad! How cool is it the fundraising promo they're involved with too!

Google
We stopped here while driving through town and feel so lucky to have found this place. There was a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, great food with lots of options, and a wonderful beer selection. We will most definitely be back when we’re in town.

Yelp
Service was exceptional Food was delicious Relaxing even though it was super busy Our waiter gave us great recommendations on what to order and it did not disappoint!

Yelp
Still no Bodangles... new burgers are ok but try to upsell you Clocktower it 6$ too expensive and 1 pattie too much meat to sauce/sides ratio. And Gravy doesn't exist in takeout poutine orders......

Yelp
Our lunch was fantastic. The service, food and drinks were all wonderful. It's a very relaxing and friendly place. So glad we decided on this place! If you park on the street a couple blocks away, adjacent to the park, the parking is free. We were visiting from the U.S. so we didn't have coins for the metered parking and their parking lot was full. The walk from the park wasn't far and the weather was quite nice.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here. We shared the huge steak nachos. The service was great and the outdoor seating perfect for an meal. Would go back for sure if in the area.

Yelp
Fire Hall was absolutely amazing! Adorable setting, quick and friendly service, and suuuch good food! I got the kale Caesar with grilled chicken, and the salad itself was amazing (though the chicken was a bit dry)- the dressing was delicious, the fried Brie is what dreams are made of, and the candied lemon was such a fun touch! A couple of my friends got burgers and fries, which looked excellent, and another friend had some shrimp lettuce wraps, which he said he enjoyed. Everything was fresh and flavorful- I would definitely go again on my next trip through Cranbrook!

Yelp
We started our visit with signature cocktails. The Dirtbag lemonade and rose sangria were fresh and tasty!! From the moment we were welcomed by Ruby, who was a great server, we knew we were in for a treat! She was very attentive and very informative. She shared with us the favorite items on the menu, favorite drinks, etc. Everything was really really good. We shared Thai poutine, and each had a hamburger with house salad. the Mr. Bodangles burger was so good! Smash burger with onion twists, brie, bacon on artisan bun with a side of No 40 steak sauce. We each ordered house salads and didn't touch them. So full. Highly highly recommend this place, especially if you get the pleasure of having Ruby as your server. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
OVERALL: 8.6/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 4.3/5). My partner and I visited here after our initial lunch plans fell through due to lack of sandwiches (it's a long story). We were driving through Cranbrook, BC, on our way to Calgary (road trip!), and we needed a bite before continuing onwards to the mountains. VERDICT: Definitely a gem in the Cranbrook area - I'd probably be a regular if I lived in the city! 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 8.5/10. Womp womp... they didn't have salmon when we were there (the kitchen said they were "out"), so we couldn't order the salmon poke nachos. My partner wanted salmon on the salad; she ended up ordering grilled chicken cuz they ran out of salmon. This is what led us to order calamari. I ordered the #fhn fried chicken sandwich with a pulled pork poutine on the side. All in all it came out to be decent. Beer selection is decent (15+ options); the alcohol selection was decent, too, but my partner ordered a lemonade since we still had some driving to do. 2) FRESHNESS: 9/10. It was definitely freshly made, but I think (given the missing ingredients / inventory) this is a "must" given the few things they *did* have to be able to be ordered. 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 8/10. All in, it came to $100 CAD after tax and tip. Definitely pricey, despite ordering a beer and two lemonades ($6 each lemonade... it had a lot of ice, so ouch). Portion size for the food was huge though - we ended up taking out some of the poutine and calamari since it was a lot bigger than expected. I would say don't bother ordering a shareable unless you have at least 3+ people - otherwise you're going to leave with leftovers. (Update: My partner ate the entire poutine leftover before we reached Calgary, and we both forgot about the calamari, so that ended up needing to be pitched. Whoops) 4) SERVICE: 8.5/10. Service was prompt, kind, and relatively good. I would have liked an inside seat to begin with, given how *not busy* this place was at lunch on a weekday, but it wasn't a bad experience. 5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 9/10. We initially sat outside but wow was it hot the day we came (Thursday). We asked to sit at the bar and we were glad to be inside when it was very hot outside (think 25+ degrees Celsius). The place was fairly packed when we got there, but the bar (where we were seated) was basically empty by the time we were about to get up to leave.

Yelp
What a fun place to stop for a drink and a meal! The waitresses are so nice. The old fire hall is beautiful. I love all the plants. I had the poke nachos. Delicious! I wanted more. The hubs had a burger and it was just as good. The G3 fries with the truffle aioli, hells yes. The drinks go down sooo smooth. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed

Yelp
The French dip was out of this world! My wife and I always stop at firehall Kitchen on our way to Banff !

Amy S.

Yelp
What a great find for lunch based on Yelp reviews. Driving back to the US and enjoyed lunch on outdoor patio. Our server was a delight and very friendly. Cool place built in a prior firehouse! Sandwiches were delicious as was the Poutine. We had the fish and chips, a couple burgers and a wrap!

Deb G.

Yelp
Great appies! Especially their nachos and poutines. Tasty sour beers too. Friendly vibe and servers. Food is always good!

Yelp
Service was slow. Took 20 minutes to get drink order and never got a drink or food menu (they were apparently out of them even though they weren't that busy. It was Mother's Day so perhaps they were busier early. We ordered the app size Caesar and that was delicious. Garlicky and spicy, as promised. There was a burger that I had heard about that I was drying to try.... The Malarkey. There are 2 sizes 5oz and 8oz. We had planned on sharing the 8oz. When we ordered, we weren't offered the size options. We also weren't offered a choice in how our burger was cooked. Burger was ok. It was well done but still juicy and tasted good. The fries (the side to the burger) were terrible. They were barely warm and chalky. They were little bits and ends. I think of the whole order, we had maybe 3-4 that were full size fries.... Which, I guess was a blessing because they weren't good. We drove 75 miles each way to come here so it was very disappointing. Definitely won't be doing that again.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!!! I'm sooooo happy that I stopped here!! My family and I came while on our way to Banff and we had the BEST experience! My cousin and I are both gluten free and not only did they have plenty of great food options for us, they had plenty of gluten free beers!! The server was SO knowledgeable about everything on the menu, which was also very helpful, and she was so so nice! Another cool thing is the ambiance and way it's decorated, very We absolutely loved this place and can not say enough good things about it!!

Yelp
Great fresh food uh huh. Stop think about it and just go there. The staff are great too.

Yelp
Amazing hamburger and parmigiana fries. The garlicky Caesar is just as they say - very garlicky. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Had an early dinner here prior to heading out, we ordered Calamari as a starter and the Wally T burger. The Calamari was dreadfully undercooked, but they promptly replaced it. We prefer a crisper batter and the second batch was at least cooked. They were very good about it and removed the cost from our bill. The Wally T burger was dreadful, unless you like eating an extremely oily burger.

Yelp
Great food. Burgers are the best! Service always a joy. Nice casual, clean atmosphere without being noisy or cold. We have to stop here whenever we are in town.

Yelp
Their beer selection is unparalleled. Service is awesome. Really enjoyed and miss some of their best servers like Retta and Ros. Nice that there are no televisions and that visiting is encouraged. The dill wings are to die for.

Yelp
Overview: This was my first time going to Firehall Kitchen & Tap. From the outside, it can easily be thought of as an actual firehall and not a restaurant. Inside, the restaurant is brightly lit with a long, family style table in the middle, and smaller tables in other parts of the room. Given the friendly service and filling portions, I'd like to come back again. Atmosphere: casual, family friendly Food: 1. BBQ Poutine: the portion was huge, making it well worth the $14 I paid. 2. Huckleberry sandwich: very filling and came with a side of fries. Was it worth the $17? Maybe. Service: We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. We were asked if we had any seating preferences and we said window, so she happily seated us beside a window. Our waitress was very friendly and approachable, and checked on us a couple of times to make sure we enjoyed our food. However, we weren't aware any additional sauces would cost extra and were a bit surprised to see $1 appear on our bills.

Yelp
Great find on a road trip through B.C. Nice local tap selection complete with sours and IPA's. Awesome food menu with some really unique flavor manipulations. Any item with the fried chicken is amazing! The salads were crisp and fresh with homemade dressings. The options included peanut butter on your burger or chicken sandwich, a must try! Environment was rustic firehouse, but clean and well spaced out. Service was prompt and friendly with every suggestion being a home run. This will be a definite stop next time through town!

Yelp
This place is the best for cold beers on a hot day. They have a great patio in the heart of downtown. I always enjoy myself here, they are great for their in-house concerts, and they are right next to the park when there is live music. The food is pub style, which they do well, but don't expect fine dining. They have the biggest selection of beer on tap in the city, and it is always evolving which I really appreciate. The owner and the staff are great people, both in what they bring to the community as well as the service you can expect day to day. I highly recommend them on a hot summer day.

Yelp
This place was a nice little find on our roadtrip. The atmosphere is really neat as it is in an actual old fire house. The waitress was professional, quick, and friendly. The food is also very tasty, came out quick, and was fair priced. If I ever come back to Cranbrook, I'll definitely come back here.

Yelp
Decent food, horrible service. Not sure if it's because it was a week day but service was really really bad here when me and my gf stopped in.

Yelp
Friendly service and excellent food with so many different flavor choices! Their coconut pannacotta with passion fruit caviar is such delicious light vegan dessert and not too sweet! Yummmmm!!!

Yelp
Just had one of their 20 beers on tap for a hot afternoon refreshment. Good service. Nice atmosphere.

Yelp
Best Ceasar (aka Bloody Mary) ever!!! Service is amazing!! Staff is friendly and fast. Deck is pet friendly! Vacationing in the area and came here 3 times. Deep End Poke Nachos are unique and tasty- had 2 orders!! Inspired greens salad is yummy. Cheddar & Ale dip is a great appetizer. Best Friend burger is BFF material! Historic building is restored beautifully. Details using old ladders, litters and other old fire fighter gear. Cudos to Jesse & Fred- owners of FHKT. Will definitely come here anytime we are in the area. Don't miss it.

Yelp
Awful customer service. We spent a lot of money & were asked to leave while still having full drinks in front of us (apparently a wait list was present so they wanted us out for turnover). We spent 82.00$. Full meals each, 3 flights and 2 pints. Felt very disrespected. The manager offered us a future gift card for 25$ but we were only visiting from out of town so likely not coming back (I did ask for our money back but that was not considered). We were a quiet couple just enjoying an evening out & were about to order more food & drinks. I would not recommend.

Yelp
Found this place using Yelp while traveling through Cranbrook on my way to Banff. We were asked if we wanted to sit indoors or out and we said indoors. We were seated directly next to a large overhead door that remained open to the outside. I wouldn't describe that as indoor seating exactly. I had the Pad Kootenai and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was adequate, nothing special.

Yelp
Do yourself a favour and come here!! The food is SO GOOD, and the beer selection great. The inside is fantastic and a great atmosphere. I can't emphasize how good the food is! Have The Hobo chicken burger- you won't regret it!

Andre V.

Yelp
Staff is friendly. Beer is good. Poutines are excellent. Fun place to hang out in the evening and have a few cold ones.

Jason A.

Yelp
Sat at a 2x2 foot table with two. Refused to seat us at booth. Menu is weak, with word good. Over priced steak sandwich. Mr. Mikes here I come.

P S.

Yelp
This is an old fire station converted to a restaurant! All the doors, ladders, poles are there to see! Definitely a must to visit, see, and to eat! The food here was delicious! Make sure to get the G3 fries,... so delicious! The drinks were super delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming! Make it a point to visit!

Kate S.

Yelp
Great food and service. Nice to visit a place like this in Cranbrook, as most of the restaurants are chains. It's definitely a menu for those who want to throw any dieting out the window. Be prepared for a lot of unexplained acronyms on the menu. I read it carefully through a couple times to try and figure out what many of them meant. It doesn't really matter tbh but I just needed to know.

Melanie S.

Yelp
The food was good and I thought the pricing was good, but they don't give enough sauce with the Pakora appetizer and when I asked for more she didn't tell me they were going to charge me for it. They don't have a dessert menu, but they do have dessert. The tiramisu was sooo good, but the donut coffee thing was really bad. Drinks were good too
