Google
Food and drinks where amazing. Nice vibe and music playlist was great too. Can’t wait to go back again. Definitely get the Rose tteokbokki.

Google
I highly recommend this place for a low key hangout spot in any day of the week. My fiancé and I met up with friends at 10 pm and were figuring out where to go. I looked at the hours and found this humble spot was open late. We walked in and were impressed! The decor was hip and lively yet having our booth was quiet enough for us to chat. The food and drinks were worth it, especially the popsicle cocktail! For more insight of places to visit in NYC, follow me at @apandatraveller on Instagram!

I visited Firefly last night for dinner with my family. We chose to sit in outdoor dinning area. They have 2 outdoor sittings which is spacious and private. The food was excellent, and the service was great. We enjoyed every food we ordered, and my favorite were Galbi Salad and Spicy Chicken Feet. The cocktail was great too. My kids loved non-alcoholic cocktail that I ordered for them. I Definitely recommend this place to my family and friends and will be back again~ ps. The halloween themed little plate is so cute !

Google
So happy this place closes at 1am. Originally was going to another restaurant but since we arrived 30 mins to closing it didn’t make sense to stay. Ambiance is dark yet seductive. Each booth has a privacy curtain. Drinks are strong. Restroom was clean. 4 drinks, 1 appetizer and 1 entree came up to 88 bucks. Definitely affordable. I had the Man du which is pork and shrimp mixed inside pan fried dumplings

Google
Firefly offers a warm, modern dining experience. The menu blends classic and contemporary flavors. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, making it ideal for both date nights and casual dinners. Service is friendly and attentive.

Google
Initially cozy place with good bar food; then again we were really hungry. The 2 stars is for service and lies only. Not for the cook. We enjoyed the food. They offer you a free drink with an honest review, they checked if you actually did the review. However make you wait for over 30 mins asking again and again like a beggar for a watered down drink that never came. Only after the check has been asked they want to start making the drink. Keep in mind we were the only table @9:30pm. Such a disappointment for a potentially good time. Extremely poor service in an empty restaurant. My grandma's green tea was stronger than their drinks. On our way out, both server and the bartender said sorry. Seems they do this act often which is why I go out of my way to edit this review. First impression last the longest and it's highly preventable if they were honest about their empty offers.

Google
Amazing cocktails at this local bar. I tried one of the signatures last night and it is a-mazing! I'm so glad that I took a photo of the cocktail before losing my memory. They serve their cocktails with beautiful fresh garnish and professional attitudes. If it's first time trying cocktails I definitely recommend Bandi Midnight, it is sweet and delicious. I'd love to come back and try other cocktails!

Yelp
I bartend too. Anyone can make drinks but not everyone can make customers want to stay or come back. They have the usual asian bar drinks. Skip this place for another bar if you want a great night. ZERO stars for that girl with an attitude Veronica that makes you think everyone owes her money. Came here twice to have a good time and drink but was let down each time as it was her working the bar. First time was bad. Tried to give it another chance, this time also bad. She wants to be a mean nasty person who has to have a sarcastic reply to anyones friendly banter. AT LEAST pretend for your boss that you're nice and friendly. Its part of customer service. Every single time I go when shes working its just terrible attitude and bad drinks. Its as if she doesn't want to be there. Owners please reconsider her attitude. Its unbelievable how long you can make a stank face and think its okay for your bosses business. She was rude to our ENTIRE group of people who were ordering multiple drinks. I would have kept on coming here for joyce but not anymore. Multiple asian bars closer to flushing. You might want to skip this one for the terrible service or at least avoid the mean girl.

Yelp
Korean style bar restaurant with one of the best all day shot special in nyc! All day shot specials 5 for 25$-40$! I had the bulgogi quesadilla to eat and the staff is very friendly !

Yelp
Solid spot. They stay open very late. My group ordered a bunch of stuff and shared it. Nachos were great (bulgogi is the star), tteokbokki was spicy and delicious. Service was good, our waitress was helpful and accommodating. I'll be back again soon.

Yelp
One bartender here is seriously damaging your reputation. I've been to this spot multiple times and usually have a great time -- especially when Joyce is working. But there's another bartender (who honestly looks like Hailey Bieber) name is Vanessa who is consistently rude, dismissive, and acts like she's being personally attacked by any attempt at friendliness. Last night I came with four friends. Three of us immediately noticed the same issue we experienced months ago -- this bartender's nasty, stuck-up attitude. For example, I casually mentioned I also went to Binghamton and stayed in Mountainview and asked how about you? Her response? A sarcastic, mocking laugh: "HA HA HA HOW ABOUT YOU THAT'S SO FUNNY." LOL what's so funny? I was just trying to make a friendly connection and she literally laughed in my face like I said something hilarious - but in a mocking way it was weird. Then I asked about her major and if she pursues it and then she got super defensive saying, "I have a 9-5 and everyone who works here has a 9-5 it's not like this is our only job" like we were insulting her (we were not) that's great. My friend asked her if she knew his friend and she said "why the fuck would I know him?" Just say no. Just feels like everything you say to her she takes in the wrong way. She treats you like an annoyance. Owner needs to pay attention. She's drawing good customers away. We have a large group that drinks almost every night she really leaves a bad taste in your mouth

Yelp
Was here a few night ago with a friend. Surprised to see the bartender there that night it's been a while. Had a fun night just getting inebriated and laughing the night away. Don't know how I biked back home.

Yelp
A friend here took us here to get some drinks and food. Sadly not much selection on the food side. The drinks are good though! We were hungry and didn't know plan B at the time so we decided to order whatever they had. I think it was an army stew and tater tots. The drinks aren't bad but the food is mediocre. Majority of what we ordered tasted like premade or store bought. Think we were duped from what they had before the pandemic. I do like their decor and their sense of privacy. Good for small groups. Happy hour kind of joint.
google avatar

Eugene K.

Yelp
Came here bc of the reviews but it was nothing special. We ordered drinks and food. A bit pricey and the space was smaller than I imagined.
google avatar

Kirsten L.

Yelp
Service was friendly! Food was OK, but nothing that stood out. Ambiance was fine - it was dimmer than I would've preferred and the music was a bit on the louder side but nothing unbearable. It was a convenient place to go to since I was nearby and hungry.

Yelp
Came in with my sister for happy hour. We had such a fun time sitting at the bar, chatting with the bar tender and some locals. The Soju cocktails were sweet and refreshing, I was a fan of the Citrus Lady. The Happy Hour prices were very good $4-$7, definitely a deal. After we ordered one glass of HH wine though we went with some specialty cocktails, very delicious!

Nicole C.

Yelp
It was freezing. The food was just OK. The cocktails were delicious, but not presented with a lot of flair. Friendly service.

Yelp
My pre-birthday spot #1! Luckily, my bestie Kim found a metered parking space across the street from Firefly. There was free parking after 7:00 pm #score Wow, Firefly's Happy Hour was from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm every day! If you are here for their Happy Hour, you must sit at the bar or outside. We grabbed the two emptied bar stools in front of the bar. My bestie ordered a glass of House Wine from their Happy Hour menu then we shared the Popcorn Shrimp...mmm delicious with the spicy dipping sauce! Thanks to our amazing bartender Megan for being so attentive! When the music stopped, it was so quiet. I requested for Megan to play anything from China Mac but the other customer requested Jazz...not my cup of tea! I do love talking about China Mac so check him out https://www.instagram.com/chinamac/! Thank you, Sara, for offering me some juices or iced water because she wanted me to stay hydrated. Note: You get an 8% discount if you pay in cash!

Yelp
Came here last Saturday with a few friends and I was surprised to see how empty it was. We were seated at a table - they have curtains so you have some more privacy, just like a little private booth! I saw a nice big room near the back that can sit a bigger group. Service here was excellent- our waiter was pleasant and very helpful! On to the drinks- The mojito is sooo good! My friends got the rye julep and the Negroni ... they were strong!! They do not skimp on the alc AT ALL! (Seeing some reviews about the drinks being weak.. not sure what's happening here as we had the complete opposite experience!) We also got the fries and the fried shrimp as finger foods to snack on. The fries were good but they give really little considering it's $8. Pass on the shrimp. Our second round consisted of soju cocktails- one of each- tae guk (pomegranate), citrus lady (citron), bunny hop (strawberry) and borahae (grape). Again, STRONG! All were good but I traded my grape one for my friends strawberry one, which has the strawberry ice cream in it. It ended up being super good after the ice cream melted. We got another order of fries and the rose tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was actually pretty good flavor wise. Lots of chicken in a creamy "spicy" sauce. Not really spicy. But with this dish again, it was small and I cant really justify paying $23 for it. I'll definitely come back for the drinks! Eat up somewhere else before hand :)

Yelp
Great casual bar atmosphere, I especially loved that table seating brings you into a semi-enclosed room with a curtain door for privacy! Their cocktails are pretty and their house lagers are refreshing - I highly recommend the green grape flavored one. While not a food destination, many of their menu items really hit the spot when you're drinking. Their creamy tteokbokki dish and bulgogi quesadillas will leave you satisfied, for sure! Definitely a good spot for bringing a group of friends for happy hour!

Yelp
Found this gem after I had some KBBQ at Ssam Tong (Go there btw). Was looking for a nice bar in Flushing to wash down all the food I ate & luckily drove past here without even looking it up. The inside is a little dark but that's how I like my lounges. The tabletops are lit up just like the bar area. I tried the Soju cocktails obviously & they were all delicious. My favorite was the pomegranate butttttttttt that Bunny Hop is a little on the wild side, like who thinks of these things? Strawberry Ice Cream in your DRINK??? Yep, let me get 2 of those thank you very much. What I love most about the inside of this place is the private booths. They know how some of yall get now that Covid season is slowly coming to an end. You might need a little more privacy to hold hands, they get it. My only regret is I didn't really order any of my go to drinks because I didn't know if they would be good here. Boyyyyy was I wrong. My last drink was a negroni & it was perfectly made. It was on par with the cocktail bars that charge you 21 dollars a drink so don't just try the soju cocktails like I did. Next time I'll try the food. In conclusion, this is a great spot to just hang out & have a drink with your friends but it is more of a date night spot. Take someone you like here & they will absolutely be impressed

Yelp
Great place to come for hangout and to have couple of drinks to wind down the day. This place has small private rooms with curtains to chill and hangout. Kinda gives the vibe of privacy even tho they don't cover much. Style is quite similar to Japanese. The service is attentive and helpful. Ambiance was great as well. Definitely great place to come to chill, hangout, and have couple of drinks! : )

Yelp
Great place for tapas, drinks, bar food and Asian Fusion on Northern Blvd! The interior and overall layout of the restaurant and bar is designed very well. The booths are nice and private. It's a great place for date night. Their food is delicious! I really liked the braised spicy beef short ribs, which was super tender and flavored perfectly. I just wish that we had more of this. I also liked their signature burger which was marinated well. The food can be a bit pricey, but can't get over all the amazing flavors that packed into their food. Their service was also top notch! Both waitresses were super nice and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this place!

Yelp
5/5 for drinks! I loved all the drinks that they offered and they have amazing specials at the bar. I would return for just drinks. They also have private rooms which I would come with friends if you're in a group of 4. Food wise, I would say wasn't my favorite. The fries were boring, the rose rice cakes were sad, but the bulgogi quesadillas were good. Just go for the drinks! Staff is super friendly as well.

Yelp
I was under the impression there was happy hour everyday between 5-8pm but not any more or not when we arrived on Friday at 6pm. The rose tteokbokki, old fashioned, and service was good. Space is cozy and dim.

Yelp
TLDR; This place had so much promise. The mood is great, the drinks are good, the food is terrible. I ordered 3 items, Bulgogi quesadilla, creamy chicken pasta, and some short rib rice dish i don't remember the name of. Come here for drinks, don't come here for food. No complaints about the service. Servers are pretty good here. Bulgogi quesadilla 0/5 This thing had like 5 little bits of bulgogi in it. i've seen more beef on 1 taco bell taco. I wouldnt order this again Creamy Chicken Pasta 0/5 This wasn't creamy, tasted like it came from a can and watered down, even asking for additional seasoning (salt pepper, pepper flakes) didn't help this dish. I would avoid this too. Short Rib rice dish 3/5 This wasn't actually so bad. except they served this to me on a cast iron where the handle has visible rust so, pretty sure you shouldn't be serving people things like that. Drinks I had a peach beer that was actually pretty good. To be fair it's not like they brewed their own beer. This and the short rib rice dish and this beer is the only reason i'm not giving it 1 star.

Yelp
Perfect little spot for an impromptu/quick/low key date night or a night out with friends. The decor is charming and the tables are very private - each table has its own privacy curtain you can close or leave open! This feature alone was very appealing and was surely much more appealing during pandemic times. There is one large party room that can accommodate about 12+ people (but check with the venue first). Food selection is okay - sufficient accompaniments for drinks. The Rose tteokbokki was a nice, creamy surprise for someone who is not usually a fan of the deep, overpowering gochujang base in traditional tteokbokki. Takoyaki was a let down because it was clearly microwaved but alas this is a Korean bar/eatery and not a Japanese spot so I was not expecting Michelin grade takoyaki - it is sufficient to accompany the drinks. The bulgogi quesadillas tasted exactly as how you would imagine the delicious combination to taste - the bulgogi is a great protein choice for a quesadilla and gives it a bit of sweetness alongside the corn. The drinks are very aesthetically pleasing and tasted great - they have a decent selection of cocktail choices and a slightly larger selection of beers and wines. Overall would absolutely stop by this spot again in the future and will do so.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place after work one Friday night. The bar servers are great and attentive. Food is good, drinks are okay. As long as you sit at the bar, they have bar specials! 5 shots of Patron for $30, and Jaeger bombs $9 each. Food is bussin! There was an issue with our food one time, but the bar servers were nice enough to comp it and also send out a complimentary scallion pancake! We wish the pancakes were on the menu! Must haves: Bulgogi mac n cheese Nachos and the Tteok-bokki
google avatar

Yelp
Great vibe, music and drinks all that in one place, a hidden gem in Flushing I'll definitely comeback here with friends, the place has small cubicles so you have privacy on another level

Yelp
I went recently with a few friends because I was happy to see a place that sold both hard liquor and soju because who doesn't like a bar with a variety of drinks. Do not come here if you're trying to have a meal with your drinks. The food is pretty pricey for the amount they provide. If you go to any other restaurant, mediocre ddukbokki is not $20+... Do come here if you're trying to go all out with your friends because they have really good prices for bundles of shots at the bar. Unfortunately, the night ended with the bartenders giving us attitude when they did not return our credit card when we had to sign the receipt. They offered for us, THE CUSTOMER, to look in their cashier and bar area for the card and acted like it was our fault for losing the credit card. Thank GOODNESS, I noticed there was a camera and we saw in the recording that the card had dropped from the booklet before the bartender returned the bill to us. There was no apology and only attitude. With that, I can't help but to give two stars because that ruined the night for all of us.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night with a friend. They have a few private booths you can choose to sit at or at the bar. Definitely a nice place to bring a date. For drinks we ordered Before Sunset and Bandi in Midnight. Both were fruity and refreshing. Bandi in Midnight in particular was strong on the alcohol. For food we ordered the Rose tteokbokki and it was very tasty! Portion wise, we split between two people and we weren't super full afterwards but also not hungry. The food prices here are definitely a bit high for the portion. Saw someone else recommend eating somewhere else and drinking here instead, I will have to agree. Definitely will be back to try more of their signature cocktails!

Yelp
Sat in the back area with 12 of my friends. Beautiful spot. Great for drinks and Korean "drinking food". Service was good as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little bar in the neighborhood. Expected a low key spot for drinks with friends, but felt more like a sports bar because it was so loud (guests by the bar area). We could hear them from the mini "room" they had in the back. Drinks were okay, but don't think I'll be back unless I want to venture into the food menu which seem to have pretty good reviews here.

Yelp
Firefly has been in my bookmarks ever since it opened, the space itself is beautiful with intimate booths for privacy , a full bar and even a cute little vip room in the back for private parties. Came here with 3 other girls and we ordered cocktails, a bottle of wine, a bottle of soju and almost everything on their food menu. Why did 4 girls order almost everything on their food menu? Because the portions are ridiculously small. The takoyaki was so so, snail salad was definitely lacking in flavor and depth... the snails were canned and I didn't enjoy the sauce which was a bit vinegary and sweet... I prefer the spicy Korean version to this salad. The teokbokki was a joke. While the cheese sauce was delicious there were like 7 measly pieces of rice cake swimming in this pool of cheese sauce. We also got a steak salad , baked Brie and quesadillAs. I would say the quesadillas are the only filling thing on this menu. the entire experience made me want to Doordash some fried chicken Bc we were drinking quite a bit and still hungry. stars for the service and atmosphere , drinks were great too but do not come hungry. Bill came out to be about $340 for 4 of us which wasn't that bad. But again do not come Hungry!

Yelp
The Taeguk (blue red) is a new drink that arrived on the menu recently. It is a pomegranate soju mix and is very good! If you like pomegranate it has a very strong pomegranate taste. And is on the sweeter side... most likely going to drink two more and it will be a night THIRD time coming here and ALWAYS BLOWS ME AWAY . Everytime I come back to nyc I make a stop for the bulgogi quesadilla. BUT NOW THEY HAVE A NEW MENY which has tteokbokki on it now! FIRE I ALSO tried the cheese nuggets new on the menu, it is like cheese curds iykyk , they have their own salsa mix and it is really good if you like chunky salsa with onion. It mixes really well with the cheese nuggets. Besides that's they are still very covid safe
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
Friendly vibe. The place is so welcoming and the rose toboki is so yummy. Ultimate comfort food
google avatar

Daniel T.

Yelp
Come for the drinks, stay for the company! Firefly is a warm and cozy venue with genuine exposed brick, a beautiful wooden bar, and several private booths. Everyone I have met who works here is very friendly and the bartenders certainly know their drinks! If it's not the bartenders greeting you when you walk through the door, the owner will certainly be there to welcome you. They have an excellent complement of wines and a fantastic selection of Scotch whisky (I am a Scotch man, myself). I occasionally enjoy a Bourbon Rickey, but if it isn't too busy I may request a mojito... and then another... and another...
google avatar

Susan K.

Yelp
I was so surprised that there is a Gem in this area. Every dish was so delicious and well balanced with spiciness and the depth. All the ingredient was so fresh and top quality. Wine collection was very wide too... i strongly recommend this place to any ages or any occasions. The staffs were very polite and professional. Try their home made burger and definitely Galbi (spare rib) salad....
google avatar

Sandy J.

Yelp
I really liked their Taeguk Which was essentially pomegranate soju cocktail and bunny hopd(strawberry ice cream). They have a sweet taste to it so I don't have to taste the alcohol

Yelp
Came in for a late night bite and a drink around 9:00 PM, and there were only 2 other customers who were sitting at the bar. We were seated in a small cubicle that has a curtain that provides some privacy during your meal, I personally loved it. The antique light fixtures were a pleasant contrast to the technicolor lights that were casted against the walls, alongside the projection screen with music videos playing. We ordered the bulgogi quesadilla and chicken dried pepper stir Fry as our food choices and the Sour Jamo cocktail! I don't usually drink whiskey but my boo does and he liked it. It reminded us of a henny lemonade drink we make at home, but less sweet and more refined. The quesadilla, albeit a little thin, had great flavor and went well with the salsa, and provided us with a good carbohydrate crunch to go with our juicy chicken stir Fry, the dried peppers are the kind you find in mala dry pot! Don't eat them haha. Overall, great atmosphere for a date night with your honey or a group of gals. Would recommend!
google avatar

Eileen J.

Yelp
Great service, ambiance and food. We ordered the bulgolgi quesadilla, popcorn shrimp, Tteokbokki and Bulgolgi Steak Salad (which came with rice). We also ordered wine and some cocktails! My favorite cocktail was the green grape. Soo good and will definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Claudia C.

Yelp
The atmosphere of this place is really nice! Like the seating inside is very cute and it's the place you'd wanna bring your friends to chill. I ordered the Green Grape Ade since I don't like alcohols and it tasted better than any other cafes' refreshers. Also this server lady was giving 5star customer service :)

Yelp
I have no idea how this place is rated as is. I hope I came at the wrong time on a fateful weeknight about a month ago. When my friend and I first got there around 7pm, I thought the place was closing because no one was at the bar or in the front. A few minutes later, a waitress came out, checked our temperatures, and got us seated. I liked our seats and how there was a curtain to enter and exit our table. I wanted to try their special cocktail but they ran out of a liquer so I ordered a tequila cocktail and my friend got the chilly willy I think. Both were watery and beyond repair. I've made my own cocktails a few times before and my drinks were far superior somehow. Even if the cocktails were on the cheap side, it might be hard to use less ice but using less water? I was sipping on water laced with alcohol, not a cocktail. I remember thinking if the bar is this low, maybe I could start my own bar in the area if I really wanted to. But that's silly because there's no way this is normal at all. I've never been so disappointed at cocktails before. I haven't tried their food so maybe that's redeeming. Otherwise, feel free to enjoy their flavored water. C'mon man. I'd love to come back and be proven wrong but at what cost?

Neha R.

Yelp
The cocktails are very good and they have generous portions of food! Bulgogi quesadilla was okay, the pasta was simple and weirdly yummy. Recommended food: bulgogi nachos and smoked salmon ciabatta Recommended drinks: Midori sour, Tokyo tea, Lava girl

Yelp
The food was good and the portion of food was proper too. They have enough beer collection. I satisfied for everything

Yelp
Okonomiyaki !!! It was awesome~~ At least try it one time!!! I went that place last night I'm so happy.

Yelp
The service was great but the food was not :/ We ordered the rose tteokbokki, bulgogi quesadilla, and the spicy chicken nachos. The rose tteokbokki was really bland and tasted like mild american cheese. The bulgogi quesadilla was ok, nothing special (but probably the best out of the three we got). The spicy chicken nachos literally just tasted like tostitos chips w tostitos queso and tostitos salsa... pretty disappointing, unfortunately I don't think the food is worth the money

Yelp
This is a super cute spot with a romantic vibe. Perfect for a date as they have seats at the bar and private booths. My friend and I came here Friday night for a chill "TGIF we need a few drinks" catch up session and it was perfect. For drinks we got a bottle of peach soju, apple soju, the bunny hop cocktail, and Borahae cocktail. Peach soju is just a bottle of flavored soju but it actually tastes really good. It's very light and sweet and tastes like juice. Apple on the other hand, would not get again. I ordered the bunny hop and my friend ordered Borahae. Honestly, we were both a little disappointed. She was not too thrilled about the flavor for Borahae. The bunny hop is wonderfully sweet (tastes like Sprite with strawberry apple screwdriver ice cream) but the drink was not very strong at all. As I was drinking I was adding peach soju to the cocktail which was a totally fine work around. As for food, the size of the french fries are disappointingly small, but the taste is so good. It has a slightly spicy kick; so addicting. Popcorn shrimp with the sauce is super tasty. Takoyaki I would not recommend. It is a mushy ball of almost nothing. The peices of octopus are so tiny initially I thought they had forgotten to put in any at all until my last bite I came across the chewy texture about the size of a watermelon seed. The outside is not crispy and the whole thing is just very mushy. The servers are fantastic and there is a call bell so that you can call them instantly when you need but also get to be left alone for the nice private feel. 8% discount if you pay in cash.

Yelp
I am impressed, Firefly was actually magnificent. Everything about this place screams quality. Genuinely good service too. Every single thing was very yummy and I can't wait to go back already. Can't wait to visit Firefly again!

Yelp
We ordered only three appetizers and drinks but it took forever to come out - one came out after 30 min, 2nd one didn't come out until we finished the first one. 3rd one came out almost 45 min after we placed an order. And there were only a couple of tables lol seemed like a joke. Waiter was nice but whoever runs this place didn't seem to care much. Food was no better than mediocre.

Yelp
a very cute place with amazing friendly, attentive staff. such cute decor with attention to detail. i'd say the cocktails were the highlight of the night. the peach mojito was DELICIOUS and so was blue hawaii. the constructive feedback we have is the french fries were quite mediocre - not enough crunch and a very small portion for $8. the ribs were also a bit tough to chew. overall a nice experience with nice ambience! we would come back for the drinks and in a few months the food will be more fine tuned!
