Firefly Guesthouse - The Berlin Angkor

Great double room, it was clean and tidy. The staff is very kind and helpful. The owners are always smailing and available for everything. There is a big balcony om the roof and the space to stay after the checkout. There are bikes to go around the city and to the temples.

A home away from home. Love that this place is a bit far from the busy area. It's very near a market and you can easily reach Angkor Wat temple with a few minute tuktuk ride by booking via Pass App or get on a bicycle (free rental from the guesthouse). You can arrange a tour with them, just approach the front desk and ask. I recommend the grand tour and the floating village and flooded forest. If you love biking, they can get a bike and guide for you. The experience has been really great! Comfortable bed, clean area and cute cats around! They have mini garden with butterflies and fireflies. :D Another great thing is the FREE coffee or tea and water. Also they serve superb breakfast - I recommend the Cambodian cold noodle curry soup. Most hotels don't serve this because it takes time to prepare. Lastly amazing staff, esp. Sela who showed me to wonderful places and introduced me to local friends. Met the owner from Germany too. This place is perfect for both short and long stay! Definitely will come back to Siem Reap and stay again here. ;)

Firefly is a pearl amongst guesthouses. Unpretentious, scrupulously clean and well kept , polished, charming, pretty. The owner and staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful that it feels like coming home after a day out. There is a large roof terrace / dining area with potted plants and other comfortable places to hang out. We love it. Out of the noisy center, tuktuk (really nice drivers) and tour sevices supplied by the guesthouse.

This place was great for us. The front desk people were informative and exceptionally nice. Clean and unpretentious, environmentally sensitive, free coffee 24/7. A lovely, laid back, open to all 3rd floor covered terrace, where you can order meals, make your own or carry in.

The staff is very friendly, cannot do enough for you. The rooms are clean and a good size. You can use lockers to lock away valuables, there is a fridge available to use, you can book tours from the guesthouse. It is not in the centre of town, however we preferred it since it is quieter. A tuk-tuk can be arranged by reception into town at a reasonable price. When you get a tuk-tuk back from town make sure you know the way, many of them do not know the guesthouse (some know the former name the Berlin Angkor). The road in front of the guesthouse is not great, but it is a couple of meters from the main road.

A great value for staying in Siem Reap. Timo and Gemma are friendly and have created a pleasant spot for travelers. They put in a lot of effort and it shows. The rooms are good, with excellent quiet air conditioning, no mosquitoes but mosquito netting present, modest levels of hot water, good cleanliness, a place to store your belongings, comfortable mattresses, and QUIET. The hotel has a lovely upstairs covered terrace for relaxing and socializing. I had several pleasant conversations with fellow travelers. Breakfast is available for $5. You have 24 hour access to a concierge as well as snacks, ice cream, drinks, and beer available at a reasonable price. The concierge speaks English, and Gemma and Timo speak like native English speakers, in addition to German and Spanish. Free coffee and tea, as well as a computer room and books to read. They arrange tours and transportation and generally make it easy to visit Siem Reap and Angor Wat. There are also bicycles available. The grounds of the hotel have pleasant landscaping with small pools and plants as well as places to sit and relax. The guest house is probably a 40 minute walk from the center of town and an easy bike ride. Restaurants deliver food, or you can walk to 2-3 local shops with food about 10-15 minutes away.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Located 10 min ride between Angkor Wat and downtown (pub street). They offer an inexpensive, hearty breakfast. Bicycles available for free and for profit (proceeds go to charity).

Super kind staff and the rooms where nice. A little far from pub street but only a $2 tuk tuk that they will call for you. This was my 4th time at Siem Reap and this time I was traveling with a friend. Could not have asked for more from this place and would highly recommend to anyone.
