Firefly is a rare breed of hotel - one that provides a really luxurious experience in a spectacular setting while retaining a real personality, thanks to the lovely owners and the friendly staff. It is the sort of place that provides an intimate environment where you can easily make a bunch of friends and where Liz and Stan make you feel like family. The room was comfortable, the pool was terrific, the gardens were lush and had plenty of secluded spots, and the bar and restaurant were perfect for evening drinks and dinner. The food was always tasty and not the usual hotel fare either. In sum, our experience was superb, we would not hesitate to recommend this gem to any of our friends.

Both the bar and restaurant were excellent! Super charming and cozy vibes - Patrick will mix you to the moon with their martini and cocktail selections. Gorgeous views over Britannia Bay!

My wife and I have been going to Firefly for more than 14 years. The food is amazing. Remember, you are in the Windward Isles, not central New York or London. The standard is very high for the Windward Isles. A mix of European food with a Caribbean twist. If you stay you'll see that it can be quiet at times. We love this. We've also been there when the bar is heaving with guests and Island home owners. We've have always been made to feel most welcome. It's very relaxed. There's a new balcony being built right now (Sept 2014). Definitely the best place to see the sunset on Mustique.

It's the dog's bollocks! A quaint English term for fabulous, unbeatable and dependable accommodation and hospitality. I've been visiting the island for over 15 years and I have never been disappointed by the warmth of my welcome, and totally enthralled by my time at the 'Fly'. Stan and Liz Clayton have established and maintain an inviting, exciting atmosphere. The setting is idyllic and every aspect of a stay at the Firefly underlines the perfect Caribbean holiday. The only place to stay and meet people on Mustique; and I have met some corkers! Anywhere else seems dull, grey and substandard compared to this gem. 2017 I know it's five years later, and I'm older (and wiser), but I can only reiterate the praise I outlined earlier. My wife and I were at the Firefly again this year. Nothing had changed. In other words it has remained the special place with the very special people taking care of your every need. On an island that can boast it has retained the essence of the Caribbean your day is a mixture of unspoiled beaches, idyllic scenery, exciting events and the comfort of knowing you can return after a 'hectic' day lying and dining (terrific picnics) in the sun, to the sublime atmosphere of the most precious place in the West Indies - the Firefly, Mustique. We recently visited the Firefly on our honeymoon and had a fantastic time in the most idyllic spot. We spent our stay in the Royal Palm room which was beautiful and the perfect spot for watching the sunset over Brittania Bay. We stayed full board and the food was fantastic - the Shrimp roti was a particular highlight! We most definitely recommend. During our stay we also lost some diamond earrings (after shaking them out of a bag over the edge of our balcony!), which we then didn't realise were missing until over a week later. We contacted the Firefly, and after a long hunt through the garden outside our room, they managed to find them! We are so grateful for such honesty and the effort made by the team to reunite us with our missing valuables. A great hotel which made a very special stay on a very lovely island.

So the island of choice for the rich, famous and royalty, Firefly has the best views on the island by far due to its elevated position on the island, enjoy sundowners with a cocktail (or maybe a few!) and enjoy the stunning vista to the nearby islands. Perfect for large groups or be equally as content as a couple, chic decor and a soft vibe make this the best place to enjoy what Mustique has to offer. Try your hand at becoming a member of the legendary Firefly Martini club, you'll need a hearty appetite for Martini to gain that exclusive membership! Visit the Firefly, you never know who will be playing at their piano.

Utter bliss! This is an amazing hotel! Having visited mustique countless times over the last 15 years it is easily one of my favourite hotels on the planet. Relaxed, elegant, stunning views, great food and amazing staff, firefly mustique should be on everyone's travel itinerary. See you in November

An absolute rip off where they prey on tourists, and are rude and surly. Food portions tiny and food bland. Drinks cost $35 US and service terrible. I hate being disrespected when all I ever am is polite and open minded. Dreadful spot where they simply don’t respect their customers. I’m telling all my network of friends how rude waiters were, how obscenely over priced everything was, and to avoid this dump It’s as if they suspect you might hate it, so they try to take as much as they can from you during your one visit. Go to The View instead. Do not go here.
