Firehouse Saloon & Grill

Traveling through Iowa to visit customers and we pass through Eldora. Firehouse was recommended to us for lunch. I had the nachos which were fresh and light. Really tasted good! Another friend had the tacos, it's Tuesday after all! They were tasty and a nice portion for a lunch on the go. The third of us had a brisket sandwich. He described it with a thumbs up and a huge smile. Very good! Check them out if you get a chance!

Made an hour and 20 minute drive to meet up with friends to check this place out. AMAZING food and service. Thank you Firehouse Grill. Had burgers and tenderloins. Everything was great 👍

Great staff, good food and the atmosphere was entertaining country music conversation and the staff is top notch. Must Try the funnel cake fries!

The Iowa Buffalo blue cheese bacon burger not bad a little different on the sauce and the firehouse pepper tenderloin just the right enough heat had nice breading nice crunch nice thickness not dry I'd rate that sandwich 2nd place in my tenderloin list nice friendly service

This place is great! Fun atmosphere, clean and inviting. The food is awesome and the staff are incredible! Enjoy!

I spent a total of 50 minutes here, and I live just across the street, but the food was soggy before I could get home with it. Very little flavor like it lacked seasoning. The fries were dried out like they sat too long and got dropped back into the fryer. Both of my kids love Mac and cheese but neither of them would eat the Mac n cheese I got for them. All in all I won't be going back after my first and only visit flopped when it was my only hope for dinner, because the power went out

Stopped for lunch today and the food was good. The salad was heavily dressed for my taste, next time I’ll ask for it on the side but that’s personal preference. I’d been here once before and had the quesadilla it was really good. My only gripe is they charged me $2.25 for a cup of coffee, that’s wild. I can get a big gulp of coffee for $1.70 at Casey’s.

Their special on Thursday is hot roast beef. The wife and her friend enjoyed that. I had shrimp and fries. It was very tasty, and the service was great. Highly recommended for a filling lunch.

The food is literally all good here. Haven't tried a single thing that I didn't love! (The menu in the photos is the updated one as of August 2024)

First timer.. Great food, nice to see family's having fun.. We will be regulars!.. We also like the carry out since we just moved from Chicago..

We stopped in with a fairly large number if people and were surprised with a once a month (every third Thursday) pasta bar setup. You got to pick out your choice of pasta, meat, sauce, and additional ingredients. Then they cooked everything up in a skillet for you and brought it out to the table along with some breadsticks. So much that I had to take half of it home! I had the tortellini, seafood, marinara with mushrooms and onions added for extra flair! It was excellent!

Great food and great service! The western tenderloin is fantastic. The hot roast beef is extra special.

The food is typically decent... We went out with some friends, a few nights ago and the prime rib. According to my friend, was possibly overcooked and a bit tough... But overall I do enjoy going there... Enjoying a frosty mug of my favorite beer and a hamburger is always pretty darn good.

Love the service!! Fast and what you order! Good variety on the menu! I love the tenderloin and western burger. Would recommend!!! Drinks are great also!!

We eat there frequently and have never had bad food or service. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. I highly recommend it!

Over priced. Terrible bar service. Always some punk teenager that doesn't care. Food used to be good and still is depending on who's cooking. It's about 50/50

If you get the chance. GO!!!!!! Wolfgang is the head bartender there and he's the coolest cat you'll get to meet. Amazing atmosphere and the food is awesome. Try the RC burger best thing I've had in this decade.

Visited during pandemic 50% opening capacity along with take out. They were busy. We chose to eat in the patio which was clean. We ordered the appetizer of funnel cake fries- if you like funnel cakes these are a must try! They were very tasty and hot. Served 4 of us. Orders the western tenderloin, western burger, chicken strips. Ribeye for $17 w/ potato and salad. Everything was excellent. Kind and prompt service also.

Always good service and great food! Feels like a real hometown place and the prices are very reasonable.

We went to Firehouse with a group of 18. The service was outstanding! Everyone's order was correct and delivered in a timely manner. I had the breaded pork tenderloin and onion rings and the tenderloin was one of the best I've ever had. If I lived near Eldora IA I would be a regular. Highly recommended!

Definitely coming back. I went with three other guys we ordered four different burgers and they all were amazing. I actually would give this 4.5 stars. The service was a 5 stars for sure and top three of my life and I eat out 3-4 times a week, and usually try to hit up a different place. If you come here see if you can get one of Wolfgang's tables (that's what he told us his name is). He was friendly but not over bearing. He talked to us was attentive, seriously the perfect server/waiter. He brought us drinks I think he created one tasted like a grape tootsie pop. The burgers came out hot juicy and flavorful . Overall great experience and the price was fair for what you get. only reason the score is not a five is the burgers took a little long to cook. If you're ever this way you won't regret it. Get a burger! It's worth the wait

Really nice surprise! The best Wedge salad I've ever had and the hot beef sandwich was delicious. We'll worth the stop!

The wings were awesome. The melt your face wings lived up to their name. Sweet chili and medium wings were excellent. Good service and good options on the menu.

Not impressed. Nachos were cold and the chips were soggy. I had a French dip and it was the driest beef I have ever seen, no cheese ans the au jus was tepid. Fries were overcooked but appeared to me homemade. Husband had hot wings, he said those were ok. Never got drink refills until we were completely done with our food and ready to leave.
