Incredibly expensive campsite made worse by rude and unhelpful staff. On our visit they refused to book us a normal tent camping site as they repeatedly and mysteriously claimed our tent (a compact mountaineering tent) would be too large for an allotted space. Why they believed this so strongly was very unclear, as they made this claim without asking how large our tent was and refused to explain what the maximum size was or why it was important. After much back and forth in several languages we gave in and paid for a very expensive RV spot in order to have a place to stay for the evening - we have small kids and had traveled a long way. Upon entering the campsite we noticed other tents in the tent-camping area were several times the size of ours, and returned to the reception to get an explanation. Staff continued to insist our tent was too large (again, where this idea came from continued to be a mystery) for several minutes before finally conceding this was false and they should have allowed us to stay in the far cheaper (but still overpriced) tent camping. Without apologizing staff then informed us it was a moot point because "we can't make any refunds or changes because our headquarters is in Sweden." The next dayI saw another staff member double-charge a German couple for two camping places, telling them that their RV was too large for one. They did not understand any language other than German and did not understand either what staff said or what I was saying when I tried to intervene to help them. Attempts to contact the headquarters to date have been unsuccessful. Dishonest staff, terrible service, highly overpriced. Edited to add: these issues were brought up at the campsite and we were told to contact the head office in Sweden. We have now been exchanging emails with the head office for a week to no avail, and no, the issue was not that a car needed to be present at the campsite (if it was your staff was incapable of communicating this in repeated conversations). However thank you very much for falsely accusing me of lying in a public forum, and good luck in your future endeavors.

Very close to Grenen Strand, Denmarks northernmost point where the Skagerrak meets the Kattegat. Enough geography, First Camp Grenen Strand was an ok place to camp but next time i'd most likely skip it. It was too crowded for my taste and i got a somewhat decent spot to pitch up the tent. A mistery remains the price. From what i was told on check in is that if you have not booked in advance you will receive the flex price on show up. And the flex price is something that may or may not climb at higher rates. But who or what decides this? To me this practise appears quiet shady since whoever is doing the checkin can charge any desired amount of $ to the customer and can claim 'well this is the flexible price' This is not exactly what you would call transparency.

We are a retired professional couple who have just travelled 8 weeks in Europe in a small campervan from Norway to Portugal and back. This site distinguished itself by being the least helpful and most unfriendly of them all. We had emailed the site, paid in advance for the two nights we needed, and warned them that we were arriving on the ferry from Norway and might not arrive before the barrier was shut at 2215. And that's what happened. Not to worry, we thought, we've paid so we'll park in the guest car park, throw our electric cable over the fence to connect to a nearby unused outlet post and walk in to use the sanitary facilities. The next morning we walked across to reception to check in properly to be met with an angry tirade about how we had broken in to the property and stolen electricity! And the fact that everything was prepaid made no difference at all, this was breaking and entering. It was only on sufferance that we were allowed to check in at 9am, because check in was not allowed before 2pm - quite regardless of the fact that we were really checking in for the night before. So, despite the good location and reasonable facilities I cannot recommend the site. If you prefer to feel welcome when you stay somewhere, then choose one of several other camp sites in the area.

A wonderful surprise! I must admit, we probably had one of the best sites on the camping. Some areas are pretty packed. Even in late August the camping was full, so reservation is recommended I guess. But still, it is a pleasant camping. Modern and clean showers and toilets. Right on the beach, easy walks to Skagen and Grenen. For a visit to the northern point of Denmak the place to be.

- sheltered by trees, with fenced paths between lines of tents - clean and well maintained facilities - dog walking area (even poop bags available) 2 grownups + dog in a small tent - all happy :) We will visit again. - in our cas, the tent area away from the car - consider that you need to had carry your belongings. The camp has spots for car+tent tho (we are unsure if we didn't ask for it or if these were overbooked :) ). One thing to consider: we arrived after reception was closed and we couldn't get wifi password from the automatic checking.

Lovely camping place near the sea and near the end of Denmark. The manager and his team gave us a warm welcome and we could choose between a handful of places. Behind the dunes there is the beach where you can see some leftovers from WW2. But behind these monuments you can see the bay with huge ships waiting in front of the harbour. And they have the most modern and cleanest wash rooms I saw on my trip through Denmark.

Booked a few days ago. Expected more space but this is still good. The rentals are brand new with nice kitchen and bathroom. A bedroom for mom and dad and a loft for the girls.||The site is very nice and a km away from Grenen as well as 500m from town while a great beach is right here.||Lovely

absolutely stunning location in all of skagen! it was very quiet during the off season and we were the only tent campers. the front desk woman was very helpful and kind and let us store our bags for a few hours after checkout. the wifi system really is a big big headache. it constantly logs you out and you have to put in your unique individual code over and over. do not lose your receipt because you will have no wifi (office closed) like what happened with me because i did not realize it would log you out. they were cleaning the showers to shut down half of it for the season right before checkout which just would’ve been nice to have prior warning. thanks for the stay!
