What a night and what an experience! The event's offerings were phenomenal: ​Music & Crowd: Excellent music and a wonderfully energetic crowd. ​Food & Shopping: A massive variety of food trucks, desserts, boba, Mexican food, and shops. ​Culture: Vibrant street art and fantastic community participation from musicians. ​The only real drawback is how hard it is to find parking, but once you arrive, the entire spectacle makes the long walk completely worthwhile.

First Friday is a great way to experience Phoenix! Amazing atmosphere, filled with great food and lots of vendors. There were a lot of cute stands with lots of handmade items. Portable restrooms were available. There was also free water, energy drinks, and samples! I took the light rail and would definitely recommend the same. The parking situation paired with the traffic makes taking the light rail the smartest thing to do. If you don't live near a station like I do, I would recommend park-n-ride. Definitely recommend coming here!

First Friday exceeded my expectations! So many vendors, live music, and so much fun! This is a great way to experience Phoenix all in one place. It was super crowded in May 2025.

I've been going to First Friday over a decade and while I'm glad it has expanded, it definitely needs more security and supervision. First Friday used to be more of an art place; people selling homemade products and goods, and selling food. It's become more of a foodie walk, there's food everywhere, and we are seeing less of the artisan products. It has definitely attracted more crowds, but there's no parking so people park everywhere and anywhere and walk a good amount to get to the vendor streets. Some vendors allow parking in their establishments the ridiculous amount of $20. Others park far and walk very far to get to the vendors. This creates a security issue since they have to walk many lovely and dark streets to get to the vendors. The vendors line the streets on each side and the crowd walks between them and it's so crowded you can hardly move. There's also a ton of unsupervised teenagers doing all kinds of stuff - drinking, screaming, running between the crowd. Not enough security or supervision, and no crowd control. Definitely love the concept of First Friday but they can be better organized.

Disappointing. Gentrified. First Friday used to revolve around art and handmade unique creations from local artists and food vendors. No more art galleries or installations. No more live music performances in the plaza. Just another boring night time swap meet with clothing racks and food trucks. The police presence is just irritating. Lights flashing, sirens blaring. The drum circle is still going strong. This event used to be cool, now it’s just a watered down mess.

My Favorite thing to do the 1st Friday of EVERY MONTH, I have been going since 2011! It has grown tremendously I love it. Just discovered a brand new food joint that just opened last night, now one of my favorite places to eat! Owner is very polite and friendly.

First Friday at Roosevelt Row is such a beautiful experience The streets come alive every first Friday of the month with incredible local art, vibrant street performances, and so many amazing food options. The energy, creativity, and community vibe in the evening is unmatched. If you're in Phoenix, this is a must-experience event-every visit feels special!

I love first Friday and it seems to be bigger and bigger every month! I have been coming ever since 2011, and it was just a handful of vendors. Now it's so packed you can barely move around without touching somebody else! I love it so many different types of art , drawings, paintings, jewlery and clothes of all types and styles, so many different talents, and music, dancing, break dancing, all type of styles. Dont forget all of the food vendors! My favorite is the Indian fry bread that's all different types of food and desserts ! Anything you want you can find there ! Plus it's fun just to people watch!
