Quality Hotel Grand

The hotel has a bit of an old feel, and unfortunately, my room was quite cold as they don’t seem to heat it properly—I was freezing! Apart from that, the service was nice, the breakfast was great with a good variety, and the gym was well-equipped. If they could improve the heating, it would be a much better experience.

We had a wonderful stay! The staffs are friendly and helpful specially the staff in the reception who made a big effort to arrange a surprise for my son's 6th bday. She managed to communicate to the breakfast staff (on a Sunday night) about our son's birthday and everyone has given an extra mile of service by fixing a reserved table decorated with balloons and a reserved sign with my son's name. He was really happy and it meant alot to us. |The food in their ala carte menu are highly recommended! Compliment to the chef! |The location was also good. Close to the center so it is easy to move around for a stroll.|Breakfast buffet has also good varieties.|And yes! An added bonus is we got to see the northern lights from our room!

Fisrt Hotel Grand Falun exceeded all expectations! The staff was welcoming, the room was spotless and cozy, and the view was stunning. Top-notch amenities and a relaxing atmosphere made it a perfect getaway. The breakfast was also fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. Highly recommend!

Great place, close to the bus and railwaystation, very kind staff. Shopping area, supermarkets nearby. I would recommend the hotel for both family and business trips. The room is cosy, food is excellent. A very nice hotel in the city center.

Convenient location but expect to pay for parking as the hotel doesn’t have its own parking. The girl at the reception, the ladies at the breakfast and the cleaning team super attentive and polite. But the hotel is worn out and needs a lot of maintenance and deep cleaning especially the room we stayed in. Bathroom felt not clean, mould and rusty appliances and a bad smell coming from the toilet. There is a play room for children but again, need more care/cleaning. Good point: The breakfast space is fantastic and plenty of food choices.

I was happy with the room except for the following: There is no telephone in the room, so whenever guests need anything they have to go down to the reception to ask for them. The bathtub is unsafe to use as it has a glass swing panel without any labels warning users that the panel is not fixed. In addition, there was no non-slip mat. Many in my tour group were in their sixties and seventies, so this posed a hazard for them. Later, I found that several other hotels in Sweden and Norway had these unsafe bathtubs and either no phone or if they had a phone, the reception staff doesn’t answer when called. There is a need to correct these, especially the unsafe features in the bathroom. Safety and well-being of the guests should be top priority.

As I was part of a bus tour I cannot speak to the check-in process or the value of the hotel, but it was a very nice place to stay. The hotel is centrally located, the standard room was very nice, with a nice modern bathroom. The breakfast buffet was held in a large high ceilinged room - a very quaint experience. The food was really nice and quite a nice way to start your day.

The hotel is located nicely in the centre, about 1.5 km from the mine and within walking distance of everything else. The hotel though can need an update, as everything seems to be way beyond expiry date. Staff is friendly and that compensates somewhat. But next time I would try a different hotel.

very clean and puristic room, ie kept simple and equipped with just the necessities. comfy beds if you dont prefer to rest on a very hard matress. breakfast is continental with local delights. everytime we stay at this hotel we book only half board, because it would be a sin not to eat out and try the restaurants in close walking distance. if you are in for meat, you've come to the right place. hotel staff is very welcoming, friendly and happy to help. to sum it up, you'll have a nice stay for a moderate price.
