First Hotel

One day before our departure, we were informed that the room we had booked was no longer available. We were offered either a smaller room or a free cancellation. We chose the smaller room. As a gesture of goodwill, we kindly received a bottle of champagne in our room.||||The room was quite small but cozy and perfectly adequate for our stay. The staff at check-in were very friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel is excellent – the metro station is directly across the street.||||Unfortunately, the only downside was the breakfast. The staff seemed overwhelmed, the few tables were not cleared or reset, and the buffet was not replenished. As a result, there was only a small croissant left. A small tip: there is a wonderful boulangerie right next to the hotel 😉

Checked out today from the hotel having stayed 3 nights.What a wonderful hotel! It’s got such a wonderful cosy feel downstairs - gorgeous festive decorations too - including the room where you can sit in & dining area where breakfast is served. The room was perfect for my stay as a solo traveller on this trip. The location is just absolutely fantastic with the metro stop Cambronne literally right outside which is a direct link into hot spots such as Eiffel Tower & more.It’s also just around 15/20 minutes walk to Eiffel Tower & I had a little view from my room which was a lovely surprise! Didn’t feel unsafe in the area at all & there are so many food spots / pharmacy / shops close by! It was quiet didn’t the night too considering location which was great. Breakfast was lovely with lots on offer! Staff were absolutely wonderful & so helpful. Highly recommend & will be back for sure. Thank you!

Before I discuss the room I want to state that every staff member at the hotel during our stay was 5 stars. They were friendly, supportive and very welcoming. They were patient as we stumbled through our high school French and were more than happy to converse in English if the French became overwhelming. They helped with suggestions as where to eat and where to go if you wanted something to do. The location is in a great part of Paris. There are a lot of great shops and eateries around the hotel. If you are comfortable using public transport; the hotel is close to the Metro and bus stops. Bolt and Uber drivers are not dependable during busy or peak times. The reason I did not give the hotel 5 stars was that our room was very small. It was booked ahead of time and we did not know about the room size. The bed was very small for two adults. However, that being said, I am not sure if there are larger rooms with bigger beds. If that is the case and price difference is not ridiculously different; I would definitely stay here again. All in all I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be close to the Eiffel Tower area of Paris. The morning breakfast was very good and filling.

Hotel was in an amazing location with lots of shops and food places within walking distance. The staff were so friendly and accommodating with all our requests, as there was always someone at reception to help you. The rooms were small but very cosy, they were always very clean and modern. I would definitely recommend the hotel and I will 100% be returning and booking again when we are back in Paris

I couldn't have more great things to say about this hotel. Our family of four (10 and 14 year old sons) stayed in the Eiffel Tower suite for three nights and loved every minute of it. The room was large, even by American standards. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, and the location was absolutely perfect. It was right across from the Cambronne metro station, and there were many cafes just downstairs. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but enjoyed visiting the bakery next door each morning. The hotel was clean and the views from the Eiffel Tower were stunning! Walking slowly, it took us about 20 minutes to walk to the Eiffel Tower. We loved the Cambronne neighborhood. For such a bustling area of the city, we were surprised how quiet the hotel was at night. We were sad to leave, and will without question stay here again the next time we visit Paris.

I booked this hotel last minute whilst we were in Paris. We were staying at another hotel which wasn't very nice. It's was my daughters special birthday and they made the room up with balloons. We stayed on the 5th floor, double room with eiffel tower view and wow what a view. Hotel is beautiful, breakfast was lovely. Reception staff can't do enough for you. Big shout out to Caroline and Iliane for making my daughters stay a special one. Thank you ❤️

I hope the chip crumbs from the abandoned bag of chips between our beds enjoyed their 3-night stay! They somehow managed to be ignored and un-vacuumed by the maid despite us pushing the furniture around to highlight the pale crumbs on the vantablack carpet. Perhaps the dark decor is there to mask the other "guests" in the rooms? But not all things were terrible, so let me start with the good. LOCATION The hotel is conveniently located in the city, right next to the Cambronne metro station (don't let that lying google maps tell you to get off at a different stop). Its a short walk to the Eiffel tower and there are an array of shops, restaurants, shopping nearby. STAFF The staff were kind, polite and multilingual. All of the front desk staff were helpful. And now for the cons.... ROOMS NO, I do not expect hotel rooms outside the U.S. to be American Supersize, and I do realize and understand that limited space leads to smaller rooms. However, I've seen small rooms laid out better to maximize the little amount of room provided. This room was not the case, unfortunately but ideally you're out and about all day and thus not in the room much. Housekeeping ignored our unexpected extra guest, Monsieur Chip Crumbs, but did provide the basics so there's that. LE ELECTRIC Boogaloo The power situation here is... concerning. On our last day here, the power had gone out TWICE. The first blackout was in the morning while we were out. But the 2nd outage happened at night which made the dark decor and motion-sensor light controlled hallways even more jarring. From what I gather, the hotel had blown a fuse. TWICE. So, keep this in mind if you book this place. Maybe pack some flashlights, glowsticks or crack open the balcony window to let the Eiffel Tower be your emergency generator light.

My first time in Paris my first hotel in Paris . Room601 w Eiffel Tower room 4 star hotel . Shabby chic hotel , hospitality to the 9s . Rooms are small which is normal for Europe and in 15 th arr . So not near main part of city but still beautiful, safe area , great great bakery on corner , lots of shops cafes , restaurants,15 min walk to Eiffel Tower! Very clean . Just absolutely loved it . I don't think I can say how much I truly enjoyed this hotel probably one of my favorites ever! The staff were warm and welcoming. They even knew it was my daughter's birthday, so they added balloons to our room, which was such a sweet surprise. The room was clean. The location was amazing with lots of great restaurants in the metro close by. We had a room facing the Eiffel Tower. The view was amazing. I highly recommend upgrading to that room. The breakfast was OK. My daughter is all allergic to eggs and not a fan of yogurt so not much for her to eat. But I enjoyed it! If you're in Paris and don't wanna spend an absolute fortune, but love location and a good hotel that treats its guests like they should then stay at this hotel!

We had a WONDERFUL stay Thanksgiving Week 2023: I'd give this place 10 stars if I could... This was our first time in Paris... and our 25th Anniversary. I spent weeks pouring over the internet looking for a place to stay... a place that would make our 25th Anniversary to the City of Lights memorable for all the right reasons... and we REALLY wanted a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower... the price for a view of the tower seemed to be prohibitive... until I stumbled across First Hotel. Since our flight had us arriving in the city at 6:00 am... we were looking at leaving our luggage at the hotel while we spent the day waiting for check-in later that afternoon... the last thing I was looking forward to was spending our first day in the city after a 9 hour flight from Atlanta touring this beautiful city exhausted! The price for our stay was so reasonable that I booked the night 'before' our arrival so that we would be able to go to our room and relax as soon as we arrived. The price we paid for 6 nights in a top floor suite was less than half what any other Eiffel Tower view room (not suite) would have been at any other location I viewed. Though we are not constantly traveling... we usually take 3 or 4 trips a year. We booked the The First Suite with balcony and Eiffel Tower view. Of ALL the money we spent while in Paris... the money we spent for our stay in this suite was probably the best bang for the buck!!! And we do NOT regret our stay at First Hotel. We would stay there again... any time. Yes... black seems to be the color they used everywhere in the hotel. Yes... the room was clean... I travel with a 'black light' flashlight to check for cleanliness. Yes... the elevator is small, but not tiny! No... we did NOT experience power outages during our stay. Yes... EVERY staff member we dealt with was AWESOME!! Friendly and helpful!! No... there are no ice machines or soda machines on each floor, but if you ask the Front Desk staff they will be happy to get you a bucket of ice. Yes... the sounds from the city were, at times, noisy but it's not the hotel's fault... it's to be expected when your room faces a busy city street in a major city. We've stayed in rooms in New York City... on floors five to 6 times higher above the city... and it was just as noisy. Yes... the bathroom was small... no smaller than most European accommodations we've had the privilege to experience... those of us from the States have been spoiled when it comes to space. I can't speak for the other rooms... but the Eiffel Tower Suite was twice the size of any room we've ever stayed in when traveling to major cities in the States. Not only did we have a WONDERFUL view of the Tower... we were able to stay in a corner suite with balconies... yes... balconies... floor to ceiling French Doors... 3 of them... yes the balcony was narrow... but large enough for a bistro style table and chairs that looked out over a quaint 'square'. Coffee and croissants in our robes was an amazing way to start the day. Nights laying in the king sized bed watching the lights of the tower sparkle was worth every penny we spent on the room!!! Our room was on the top floor... over a bakery. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Eiffel Tower is a 15-20 minute walk away. Cabs are EXPENSIVE and I hate to say it... but we ran into several cab drivers that charged a tourist tax... if you know what I mean. A pharmacy is next door to the bakery. Flower shop just across the street if you like fresh flowers. If you are a Starbuck's fan... you are a short 5 - 7 minute walk away. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. A 'Target' like store is a short stroll down the street... with a grocery store above it. If you are missing a bit of the States... McDonalds is next door to the 'Target' like store.

Wow.... what a huge gap between what I expected and what I actually got. I really wanted to rate this place higher, especially because the staff that I met were very nice, but it just didn't work for me. To be fair, this review is written with extreme bias. I am a frequent business traveler and I am accustomed to a certain aesthetic, certain amenities, as well as, well...space. I think this is a hotel that is better suited for budget travelers, Spring Breakers, and 20-somethings. PROS: -Before you arrive, the hotel will send you a questionnaire to get a better idea of your wants and needs, and give you an opportunity to submit any requests. -It is located directly across the street from the Cambronne Metro train station. -Very short walk to a large number of patisseries, shops, restaurants, retailers, dry cleaners, and various other businesses. -Windows open up to the street, and Room 402 had a minimally obstructed view of the Eiffel Tower. -Short 10-12 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. -Towel warmer in the bathroom my -Free WiFi. CONS: - SPORADIC POWER OUTAGES. Seriously, this building lost power twice in one day (during the last day of my stay, thank goodness!). The last time, it left two guests trapped in the elevator for about half an hour. -This hotel seems more like a hostel -Elevators are tiny -Rooms are dimly lit... and tiny -Bathroom is REALLY TINY -Weak water pressure in the shower -No iron in room -No microwave in room -Beverage chiller in the room (which takes forever), but no fridge -Room key must be inserted in a slot in the wall at all times in order for the lights in the room to work. This makes it very easy to leave your room key behind. -Limited counter space in the tiny bathroom -Hallways have motion sensors. It can be very dark when you get off the elevator. You have to get off the elevator and walk towards your room to activate the lights. It's kinda spooky. -No USB ports in the room. I had to go out and buy a converter. -Can hear/feel activity (e.g. walking, showering, muffled conversations, other guests entering/exiting their rooms, etc.) coming from neighboring rooms. This is definitely not a hotel designed for relaxation or otherwise a quiet stay. -There were two very weird holes in the bathroom mirror (I had to stuff them with tissue) -The hotel does not have washcloths -Shower is a bit difficult to figure out how to turn on -The closet is not efficiently designed. As opposed to the bar in the closet extending the length of the closet, there's only a bar in the middle, which extends the width of the small closet. This a complete waste of space and it makes it very difficult to see all of the clothes inside. -No water machine or ice machine -Toiletries not replenished daily -No facility for guests to wash their own clothes. The hotel uses a third-party laundry service, but the prices are outrageous! There's a dry cleaner 2 doors down on the right, and a Laundromat 2 blocks away... save your money. -Housekeeping doesn't vacuum very well. There were chip crumbs by my bed when I first checked in, and they were still there when I left. -TV service is spotty and inconsistent As unique and aesthetically interesting as the hotel is, it was entirely too small and too noisy for me to enjoy my stay. Fortunately, I was only in Paris for a few nights, so I didn't see the point in trying to change hotels. However, if given the choice, I would definitely not stay here again.

First time pin Paris and booked a room here for 4 days. Friendly staff. Very helpful. The rooms were clean and directly across from the subway which was a plus. They offer breakfast at 15 ur. Great choice in my opinion.

We arrived early from flying all night long from the US. The concierge was pretty unpleasant and rude. I had requested the hotel arrange our transport from the airport. The transfer arrived over an hour and half after our flight had landed and couldn't find us. We weren't told where to met the driver and we had to call multiple times to figure it out. This was awful with two small children. I had requested a bottle of champagne upon arrival to our suite and it never came. We had booked the suite on the 6th floor and this was a nice room but for the amount of money we paid wasn't worth it. On our second day the fire alarm went off and we rushed down the stairs from the 6th floor and was told by the time we got down to the 1st floor that everything was okay. Did I mention that we have two small children with us? The hotel didn't offer anything for our inconvenience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

At least, a daily power outage. People get stuck on the tiny elevator when it happens. Its scary! All in black decor makes rooms SO DARK... not enough bright light anywhere. It serms you are in THE HOUSE OF HORRORS or a Halloween party! Housekeeping sucks, mirrors on hallway are full of dust. Guess all decor is in black to cover dust and dirt. Front staff very efficient and professional. They speak English fluently.

This was my first trip to Paris, which I've been dreaming of since I was a kid. I knew I wanted to stay somewhere clean, chic, and professional. Instead I got some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. As Miranda Priestly says in the Devil Wears Prada: I asked for clean, athletic, smiling; they sent me dirty, tired and paunchy. The hotel was probably the worst part of our trip. I wouldn't give this hotel four stars, maybe three. Here's why: Pros: it is clean enough and well decorated. It's in a good location, walkable to many cafes, restaurants, metro, and tourist sites. (While location was good for transport, it wasn't the vivacious, young Paris we were hoping for.) We also had a nice window that opened in a classic Parisian style. HOWEVER: Cons: - when we arrived, no one helped us with our bags into the hotel, nor did anyone help us bring them upstairs after check in. (Unusual for a hotel, esp 4 star). - WORST: The staff wasn't very friendly, hospitable, or accommodating. It immediately confirmed the rumors about French people being rude. No one looked up or said hello when we arrived back to the hotel each day. - The room is incredibly small. Barely enough to have our two suitcases in. This is an issue in general in Paris (small hotel rooms) but it was pretty uncomfortable especially because I like hotel rooms to be a little break from the culture shock. Not only was the room small, but the sheets were cheap and never fit the bed. The pillows were weak, leaving me with neck pain. No mini fridge either so no leftovers or snacks could really be kept in the room. - WORST: On one of our nights, on our way out to dinner we asked the "concierge" for a reservation at a restaurant we heard about for the following night. He said okay, took our information and we left. When we came back, he was at the front desk again and I went over to ask/confirm if the reservation was made (just in case they might have been booked/unable to have us). I was met with a rude "yes" as if my question was absurd. When I explained why I was asking him, he just said "ok" again as if it was crazy for me to ask... I'm not sure what the deal is but that's no way to treat a guest. And when we got to the restaurant the next evening, there was no reservation... seriously? - While it didn't happen to us, we heard the elevator alarm go off multiple times. We never got stuck luckily but a few people did. One day the elevator was completely out of service and another day we called it and couldn't get in because of two giant trash bins being left inside. OVERALL: Really the hotel is fine, it's the staff that need a lot of work and training on how to treat customers. I truly wouldn't stay here again/recommend others. The hotel was probably the worst part of our trip. I will try something much nicer next time. When I told my travel agent, she said America and France are very different. I don't see how treating people nicely, especially a paying customer, comes down to cultural differences. Needless to say, this experience just made me all the more patriotic.

Love, love, love First Hotel! This hotel really exceeded my expectations for the reasonable price during my stay. Very clean hotel and rooms, staff was very helpful in making me comfortable and answering questions. 2 minutes from metro Cambronne Station 6 line. Four stops on metro to Eiffel Tower. Some days I walked which was very refreshing. Cafes,pharmacies, bakeries,pubs, sushi, McDonald's are just a few minutes walk. Con- motion detector lights in the halls which are very dark until your movements are detected this was a bit concerning for me( as I can be a scary cat) some other couples were concerned and got used to it.

Not even a one star hotel. Tiny small tiny tiny rooms. They will sell you Eiffel views and large windows and put you in the roofline rooms where rooms are tiny and windows are 12"x12". True story. The manager was helpful but only after I asked for cancellation. Really disappointed. Don't let a bad hotel ruin your expensive trip/experience.

I've been to Paris three times now and have experienced both the ups and downs of the hotels in the city of lights. The pricing can be an issue for sure, but It's important to get it right because that may make or break your stay. So I spent hours on Expedia and the like, sifting through photos, and reading the reviews to verify that the photos were actually representative of the hotel. Ultimately, for my first trip with the GF to Paris, I settled on First Hotel Paris. And after staying there for a week, I definitely plan to make it my Parisian hotel of choice from here on out. European standards are different from American ones. And if you're looking for a boutique American hotel, First Hotel Paris definitely fits the bill. The lobby is clean, bright, and well-designed. Approximately $300/Night USD The rooms are some of the best I've encountered outside of 5-star $500+/night suites. Clean and with everything in working order, I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. It's to be expected that the size of the room is smaller than those you find in U.S. But we found that we had plenty of room, especially since we weren't at the hotel for most of the trip. Better yet, First Hotel Paris accommodated us with a room that had a slight view of la Tour Eiffel through the trees outside our window. There are even better options with a full-on view with a balcony if you're looking to indulge with some extra Euros. And despite being situated by Le Metro Cambronne (a bonus actually since we were traveling everywhere), there was no outside noise that permeated through the windows. Perfect. L'Occitane products were on offer here, continuing the boutique experience at this hotel. The bathroom was extremely clean and modern. Again - plenty of room and surprisingly so. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of warm water. There were plenty of towels and there was even a drying rack that actually dried your wet towels if needed. It took me a day for us to notice, but eventually we saw that the room light was actually a top hat. Boutique much? Totally made the GF's day. Plenty of closet space to put up some of our formal wear, though I would've appreciated some drawers. The hangers were also bolted to the closet so it made for awkward hanging. And if you're concerned about heating or air conditioning, have no fear. Central air was in perfect working condition and since we were there towards the end of summer, we definitely had the A/C blasting away. There's a mini-bar of course, but around First Hotel Paris, there are plenty of super-marches, cafes, and bakeries to satiate any cravings. So if you're in Paris and want to be a 10-minute walk away from the Eiffel Tower, be sure to check out First Hotel Paris. It's right by the Metro and is quiet at night without being creepy. Be sure to try nearby Maison va Privat for your morning pastries and baguettes. And do check out some of the local cafes to sip le vin and watch patrons dance and sing the night away.

My soon-to-be fiancee and I spent 7 wonderful nights here this past February. For the price we paid (via expedia.com, along with 2 round-trip, non-stop flights from San Francisco), this hotel was perfect. Yes, the room was on the smaller side (think mid-town Manhattan hotels), but who goes to Paris to stay in their hotel room? Modern. Clean. Safe. Located conveniently across the street from the Cambronne metro. Next door to many restaurants and walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. In fact, our hotel room had a view of the Eiffel Tower! The front desk & morning breakfast-buffet staff were friendly & attentive. If you like peace & quiet when you sleep at night, this is the place to stay. I'd stay here again!

This is a nice hotel with a lot of things surrounding you within walking distance including the Eiffel Tower 10-15 min walk! Though the room is extremely small & tight! (That's what she said) lmao. That's why I'm not giving it 5 stars

Great hotel in a great location!! Right outside their front door is a metro stop. Easy to get to from the airport or anywhere in the city. There is a bakery next door and plenty of restaurants nearby. Front desk will give you a great map of everything in the city to see and where it's at and how to get there. The rooms are small and modern. Carpet is black which looks great but can be hard to see if you drop anything on the floor. The hall lights are on a motion sensor so they are off until they see movement and they can take a while to turn on which kind of sucks cause it's pitch black. Someone did get stuck in the elevator for about 15 min luckily it wasn't us. Over all great hotel in an awesome city.

I was so surprised at the quality of the hotel for such a reasonable price. It has a very modern black and white theme throughout the hotel. It is right across the street from the Cambronne metro. Very easy access to the Eiffek tower and all of central London. The staff speaks English and was extremely helpful. I certianly enjoyed my stay in Paris!

Clean and modern interior at this smaller boutique hotel. Excellent location right next to the metro. In the heat of summer in Paris (where air conditioning seems scarce), the room was cool and quiet. Seemed to have its own air conditioning unit, with temperature control on the wall. When returning later in the day, the rooms were well cleaned. Stephane and all the other front desk staff were great and very accommodating. Did the breakfast option downstairs twice and the food was good and kept replenished by the staff. Price wise I think it was excellent value for what I paid. Could have paid a lot more somewhere else and I'm not sure if I would have been much happier. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Nowhere near a 4 star hotel. 1, if that. Desk staff is rude, we loved Paris but this hotel stay was the worst part of our trip. The evening guy I think Jude was his name was very unhelpful and didn't know what he was doing, any questions we had he had NO answers for us, pointless. 2 nights in a row the fire alarm went off after midnight for no reason and they came into our room(waking us up from sleep!) when we told them not to making us feel uneasy and uncomfortable after we told them there is NO smoke in our room nor did we smell it at all. There were issues our whole stay, and the rooms are uncomfortably small you can barely move in the bathroom. There was hair in the shower and bed. Disgusting. Never staying here again and will warn anyone not to.

Nice hotel in a nice location, although, rooms are a bit small (especially bathrooms). Also, you better hope your not late to check out because they charge 60 euros for late check outs. Laundry is almost forgettable because of the rediculous price they charge. Overall about three stars in my opinion.

We LOVED this hotel! Right across the street from the trains, near basic shopping & all the food you want to eat! We were prepared for the walk to the tower, but from there everything is in such close proximity! The rooms were really cute! I really do think that you'll get the most bang for your buck here in terms of size, decoration and location. THE ROOM IS COMPLETELY SOUND PROOF. AND DARK AS CAN BE, if you want it to ;) Breakfast is offered here as well for a small fee compared to venturing out for basically the same thing;more time/money saved there. There is a cute patisserie next door & an atm down the street.

This is a nice boutique hotel in a great location. I've stayed in a number of hotels and hostels in Paris throughout the years (some on the nicer end and some on the less-desirable side) and First Hotel is probably the best for the money. The rooms are very small but totally cute and practical. I can imagine that they could feel very tight if you're planning to stay for an extended period of time, but for a couple of nights it was perfect. The best part of the hotel for me was the balcony, it had an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower! Oh, also the staff was very nice and helpful!
